Chapter Twenty Nine - Pregnant

Milo's P.O.V -

Lunch had finished and I now had gym which I wasn't able to participate in due to my injuries. Louis had offered to show me where to go since he had the same class.

The principle had explained that gym wasn't based of ability so there was going to be a mixture of abilities.

"We don't get to do much." Louis said as we walked into the gym and sat on the bleachers.

"How come?" I asked.

"Because we're human." He told me. "They do their pack training during gym most of the time, so we can't do it."

"Oh." I frowned. "That's boring."

"I'm not a big fan of sports anyway." He shrugged. "Sometimes my mate makes me learn self defense but that's it."

"What do you do during gym then?" I questioned.

"Read or do homework." He mumbled pulling out the book he was reading during lunch.

I nodded pulling out my phone and playing a game on it until people started to enter the gym dressed in their sports uniform.

I noticed that both Lincoln and Wyatt were in this class but they hadn't seemed to have noticed me. A blonde girl ran towards us and stopped a few feet away.

"How's your day been?" She smiled looking at Louis.

This must be his mate, I could tell by the way that Louis' face lit up and how his attention was fully on her rather than his book.

"Good." He smiled back at her. "What about you?"

"Oh it's been great." She sat down in between us. "I got an A in my biology test."

"That's amazing." He told her. "You deserve it, you worked really hard for that exam."

"Have you got yours back yet?" She asked eagerly.

"Not yet." He shook his head. "I have biology tomorrow."

"You always do great, so you'll be fine." She told him holding his hand before looking at me. "Hi, I'm Bella."

"I'm Milo." I introduced myself.

"It's nice to meet you." She spoke kindly.

"You too." I spoke sincerely.

"Look at you making friends." She joked nudging Louis' arm. "And here I thought you were to busy reading to socialize."

I laughed lightly looking at his embarrassed face.

"Bella." A voice called from far away. "Training is starting."

We all look to see Lincoln staring at her expectantly before his eyes moved to Louis, then me. His eyes widened slightly before he made his way to us.

"Okay sorry." She said as he got within a few yards of us.

"Milo." He looked at me ignoring Bella. "Your in this class?"

I nodded at him.

"Oh." He mumbled. "Okay. You won't be able to do much because-"

"I know." I cut him off. "Louis has already explained that to me."

Lincoln glanced at Louis before nodding. "Well I should get back to training then, but can you wait for me after this class?"

"Sure." I told him.

"Great." He spoke slowly. "Bella, come on."

She followed him away from the bleachers and to where the rest of the class was waiting.

I just watched as their training began. Lincoln and Wyatt were leading the sessions which I found weird until I remembered they were technically in charge of everyone in this school. They practiced fighting which I thought was quite violent but no one seemed to get hurt.

I remained seated as everyone else left the gym to get changed. Louis remained next to me reading his book as he knew it would take a while until class was over.

Lincoln walked over to me instead of getting changed but he had hardly broke a sweat during the training anyway.

"Hey." He mumbled giving Louis a look which told him to leave.

Louis quickly put his book away before grabbing his bag and leaving. Lincoln moved so he was sitting where Louis had been.

"What's wrong?" He asked me seriously. "I thought our relationship was going well so why do you suddenly want me to give you space? Am I rushing things too much, because if I am then all you have to do is say something?"

"It's nothing to do with any of that." I mumbled. "I just don't want everyone to know and like me because of you."

"What?" He asked confused. "You don't want people to like you?"

"It's just in my old school everyone liked me because I was funny or on the basketball team, not because of who I was dating." I looked away from him. "I know I'm not making sense."

"No." He shook his head. "I kind of get it, you want people to like you for you."

"Exactly, and I can't do that if you are around me all day." I confessed.

He frowned deep in thought before nodding. "Okay, but I will still drive you to and from school."

"Deal." I smiled. "My mum takes the car to work anyway so I wouldn't be able to drive myself."

He laughed standing up. "Well I need to go get changed, I'll see you after school."

"Bye." I said watching as he walked away.

Lincoln had managed to convince my mum to let me sleep over at his house tonight, and honestly I have no idea how he succeeded. She was currently instructing Lincoln on how to care for me which I found rather annoying.

"So if he rips his stitches you should take him to the werewolf hospital." She told him. "You also need to check if they're red or swollen."

Lincoln nodded listening intently, I'm almost surprised he didn't start taking notes.

"Mum." I glared. "I don't think it really matters anymore, I'm getting my stitches removed tomorrow."

"I don't care." She told me before turning back to Lincoln and explaining how not to get them wet if I have a shower.

"He's still taking pain killers, weaker ones than before though." My mum told him passing the box of pain meds.

"And his cast-" She started but I stopped her.

"Mum, he knows how to take care of a cast." I grumbled.

"Actually I don't." He mumbled looking between me and my mum.

She smiled at me in victory.

"You're forgetting that I know what to do." I pointed out. "So can we please just stop talking about this."

"Fine." She huffed. "Onto the next topic then, just because I'm letting Milo stay over does not mean you two can have sex."

I groaned in frustration pulling out my phone to text Lucy.

'Can you stay over at Lincoln and Wyatt's tonight?' I messaged her.

She messaged back quickly. 'U don't have to ask me twice.'

I put my phone back in my pocket looking back to where they were still talking about sex.

"Mum, Lucy is coming now. Does that make you feel better?" I asked her.

"So you two and her and her boyfriend can have a foursome?" She sighed. "Great solution."

"I promise you we won't do anything." He told her. "And if it makes you uncomfortable I can sleep on the floor."

She looked hesitant to say anything.

"Mum I can't even walk, you think I'm gonna have sex?" I asked her.

"You won't get that cast off for months." She deadpanned. "Do you really want me to believe you won't be having sex that entire time?"

"Touché." I leaned back into my seat with a small smirk.

"Huh?" Lincoln stared at me confused. "I thought that we was going to wait until you were fully healed."

I glanced over at my mum awkwardly, she was waiting for my answer.

"Not until marriage." I spoke unsure.

My mum slapped the back of my head. "You're an idiot."

"Love you too." I smiled at her.

"We could wait until marriage." Lincoln stated confused.

"Bit late for that." She muttered.

"No?" Lincoln mumbled. "Not for me."

This unfortunately began a ten minute conversation about Lincoln's lack of a sex life and the reasoning behind it. I had almost drifted off to sleep when they finally finished talking much to my relief.

"You two can go now." My mum told us as she passed Lincoln a backpack of my stuff.

"Great!" I exclaimed standing up with my crutches.

"Bye Gianna." Lincoln spoke politely before we left the house and got into his car.

"For future reference." I started as Lincoln put my crutches in the back. "Never talk to my mum about sex again."

He chuckled climbing into his seat. "Why not? I talk to my parents about sex all the time."

"You can tell that you didn't grow up in a catholic household." I told him leaning my head against the window.

"It's nice to be open with your family." He said as he started the car.

"There's open and there's weird." I replied.

He let out a small laugh before beginning the drive to his house.

"I'm looking forward to tonight." He confessed. "I feel like we never get time just the two of us."

"Well Lucy and Wyatt are going to be there." I pointed out.

"Oh you actually invited Lucy?" He remained focused on the road. "I thought you was lying."

"I wasn't." I mumbled. "It'll be fine though, we can just ditch them after a couple hours."

He nodded not choosing to respond as we finally arrived at his house.

"I'll put your stuff upstairs, Wyatt is probably in the game room." He told me as we entered his house.

"Okay." I told him walking down the hall.

Wyatt was laid across the couch watching a movie on the big screen. He gave me a small wave not even looking at me. I sat down in the arm chair and silently began to watch the movie.

"You staying over tonight?" He asked in a bored tone.

"Yeah, I invited Lucy over so she might too." I told him watching as a smile spread across his face.

"Great." He grinned at the screen.

Lincoln walked into the room, he made his way over to the couch and pushed Wyatt's legs off so that there was room to sit down.

"Ugh." Wyatt groaned moving so that he was sitting up.

"Oh shut up." Lincoln elbowed him lightly.

"I will fight you." He threatened elbowing Lincoln slightly harder.

I rolled my eyes watching as they started to wrestle on the ground like kids.

"What did I walk into?" Cole grumbled as he walked in. "Some gay threesome?"

"Yeah." I nodded looking over at him and Cora. "Do you want to join? Sorry Cora you can't be involved."

She laughed pulling Cole over to sit on the couch Lincoln and Wyatt had abandoned.

"I'll pass." Cole muttered placing an arm over Cora's shoulder.

Cora lightly kicked Lincoln's back. "Stop fighting we have something to say." She demanded.

Noticing her serious tone they stopped and sat on the floor ready to listen to her. Lucy walked into the room quietly and sat on the arm of the chair I was sat at.

"Uh so what I want to say is, that," She paused deep in thought. "And I haven't told anyone yet, so you have to keep it a secret. Well I've told Cole obviously. So last week, we uh found something out. It's quite important, well actually this is the most important thing since meeting Cole. I had been feeling a bit under the weather, at first I though it was my period but then-"

Cole got bored of Cora's nervous ramble so he decided to just say it for her. "Cora's pregnant."

She gawked at him in disbelief before turning to us with a smile. "Yeah, what he said."

"Congratulations!" Lincoln exclaimed standing up and pulling Cora into a hug.

Wyatt did the same as I stood up.

"Congratulations." I told Cole.

He gave me a small nod. "Thanks."

"You excited?" I asked.

"Yeah." He mumbled glancing at Cora. "She's been looking forward to being a mum for a long time, she's going to be a great mum."

I glanced at him slightly confused. "You're going to be a great dad too."

He shrugged. "I guess we'll find out in time."

"It's already obvious." I told him. "If you are this concerned about being a good father then it says that you care, and that's what's important."

"My dad was killed when I was five, and the man who was in charge of me after that died when I was ten." He looked down. "So I don't really know what to do."

"No parents knows what to do." I told him. "You'll be fine."

I noticed that Cora had finished her conversation with Lincoln, Wyatt and Lucy and was walking over to us.

"Congratulations." I told her pulling her into a quick hug.

She smiled at me before leaning into Cole who proceeded to wrap an arm around her waist.

"Thank you." She said. "What were you two talking about?"

"Being a dad." Cole mumbled.

Her smile faltered. "Have you told him about all you concerns about being a good dad?"

He nodded resting his head on top of hers.

"I keep trying to reassure him but he won't listen to me." She huffed. "He's stubborn."

Cole rolled his eyes making me laugh slightly.

"How far along are you?" I asked curiously.

"Oh." She had to think about it.

"Almost seven weeks." Cole answered.

"That's more than I thought." I responded.

"Yeah, that means she was fighting those hunters pregnant." Cole glared at her but she couldn't see his expression.

"It's not like I knew." She argued.

"Yeah whatever." Cole replied lifting his head off her and taking hold of her hand.

"You should just be happy that I agreed not to shift until after the baby is born." She added.

"How come?" I asked confused.

"Well shifting, especially later in the pregnancy, increases the risk of a miscarriage." Cora explained.

Cole's eyes darkened at the thought. "So Cora has made the sensible decision to not do it."

"It's actually going to be really difficult." Cora told me. "Werewolves get restless if they don't shift, although the desire to shift does decrease during pregnancy."

We discussed the topic for a few more minutes, it was mainly Cora explaining werewolf pregnancies to me while Cole listened bored.

"Okay well, I have planned a dinner with my parents." Cora said as she checked her phone. "We're going to tell them that I'm pregnant."

"And by we she means me, because she's too scared." Cole commented.

They soon left to get ready for their dinner.
