Chapter Two - Movie night

I do not speak Italian so the translations will probably not be accurate, however I will put what I'm trying to say in English in brackets.

Milo P.O.V -

I had my head rested on the table in the cafeteria, I was too tired to start a conversation with Oliver who was quite content scrolling through his phone. I had chosen not to ask him about the purple bruises around his swollen right eye already knowing that his father had punched him.

"Well you two are boring." Lucy sat down to Oliver's left.

His eyes widened and he ducked his head down to hide his bruised eye. In the morning we don't usually have any classes together so she wouldn't have seen it yet.

"Why are you turning you head?" She looked at Oliver confused. She reached forward gripping his chin and turning her boyfriends head to look at her.

Her face dropped when she saw his bruised eye. Her face went red and her eyes narrowed in anger. "I'm just going to say it, I hate you father."

He scoffed. "Me too."

She sighed her hand lightly grazing the bruises before she lightly kissed his cheek.

"So." Oliver turned to me. "Who was that guy you were talking to last night?"

"Lincoln." I mumbled tiredly although there was a slight smile on my face.

"Ooh you like him." He teased.

"Shut up." I elbowed him although a blush was spreading on my cheeks.

"Look how defensive he is, he definitely has a crush on this guy." Lucy laughed.

"Aw he's going red." Oliver added a smirk on his face.

"I hate you both." I grumbled.

"Fine, we'll stop." Oliver laughed. "Are you working today?"

"Yeah, straight after school. You?" I asked.

He just nodded.

We were at work and Oliver was still asking questions about Lincoln.

"How old is he?" He asked passing me a spanner before I rolled back under a car.

"I don't know." I grumbled getting annoyed.

"What's his last name?" He questioned.

"Stop with the questions!" I exclaimed sitting up only to slam my head into the car. I groaned clutching my head knowing I had gotten grease on my forehead now.

Oliver laughed yanking my legs to pull me out from under the car. "One final question."

I rolled my eyes. "Fine, go ahead."

"That's him right?" He looked over to his left.

I sat up still rubbing my head to see that Lincoln and Wyatt pushing a range rover, which had smoke escaping the hood, towards us.

"What's the problem?" Oliver called walking over to them. I could see them mumbling to Oliver but I couldn't here them.

"Milo! Come help." I got up walking towards them.

Lincoln's eyes widened as he spotted me before awkwardly looking at the ground.

I looked over at the car from the smell of the smoke I could tell what's wrong. "The coolant's leaked." I told him.

"Thought so." Oliver nodded.

Oliver sometimes asked for my opinion since he's only been working here for a couple weeks while I've been helping around at the garage since I was eight, after all my uncle did own it.

I lifted the hood looking at the engine before turning to Oliver. "Leaking hose." I told him. "You can do this one and I'll finish the ford."

"Yeah sure." He nodded.

I noticed Lincoln's disappointed face making me laugh.

"Don't look so upset your car will be fine." I told him patting his back.

I walked back over to the ford sitting on the creeper, I was about to lay down to get under the car but I noticed Lincoln approaching me.

"Hey." He smiled at me.

"Hi." I nodded acknowledging his presence.

"I didn't know you worked here." He lent against the table.

I shrugged laying down. "Can you pass the L spanner?"

He looked over at the tall box. "Uh, I'm not sure what that is."

I sighed getting up and grabbing it before sliding under the car.

"I don't much about tools." He mumbled.

"It's fine." I told him. "Not everyone does."

A loud voice bellowed through the garage. "Dove è mio nipote?" (Where is my nephew?)

"Sono da questa parte, zio!" (I am over here uncle!) I shouted out my accent becoming prominent as I spoke my second language.

I slid out from under the car noticing the confused expression on Lincoln's face. My uncle Roberto pulled me into a hug.

My uncle entered immediately noticing Lincoln. "My apologies, I did not realize that anyone else is here." He stumbled over his words slightly, he doesn't live here he's just visiting for the week.

"Perché sei corso fuori dalla macchina Rob?" (Why did you run out of the car Rob?)  My other uncle, the one who owns the garage entered.

"Per vedere il mio nipote preferito." (To see my favorite nephew.) He smirked as he watched his brother glare at him.

Marco crossed his arms. "Ho un figlio anche tu sai."(I have a son too you know.)

I turned to Lincoln slightly embarrassed. "Let's leave them to argue." I suggested.

He nodded following me out while my uncles shouted Italian at one another.

"So you're from Italy?" Lincoln asked unsure.

"My mum is Italian and my dad is from here." I told him.

He nodded deep in thought. "So you're half American and half Italian?" I just nodded.

"That's cool." He mumbled.

"Where are you from?" I spoke curiously.

He laughed slightly. "I'm pretty boring, I'm just american."

"There's nothing wrong with that." I smiled at him.

He just shrugged slightly.

"So what movie do you want to watch?" Oliver asked Lincoln and Wyatt.

We were all at my house. Oliver had invited them over without asking me, not that I really minded.

"I don't mind." Lincoln answered obviously not wanting to sound picky.

"A horror movie?" Wyatt suggested looking out the window seeing that the sun had set.

Oliver glanced at the TV nervously as he stroked my dog. Buddy had became unusually unsettled when Lincoln and Wyatt walked in. "Uh... Are you sure?

I chuckled. "He's terrified of horror movies."

"I'm not terrified." He insisted. "I just don't see the fun in scaring yourself."

I shook my head with an amused smile. "Pick whatever you want." I tossed the remote to Oliver.

"It's fine we can watch a stupid horror movie." He grumbled making his way to the horror section.

"Oh that's supposed to be good." Wyatt pointed at the screen. Oliver and Wyatt began to discuss which movie would be best while I walked into the kitchen to get snacks.

I pulled the note from the fridge. 'Going out with Marco and Rob -Mamma'

Before I could search for food my phone began to ring. "Hello?"

"Hey Milo, I was wondering if you wanted to come over?" Lucy's familiar voice came from the speaker.

"I'm actually busy right now, sorry." I apologized.

"That's fine." She told me. "What are you doing?"

"Movie night with Oliver." I informed.

Lucy understood that sometimes Oliver and I needed to hang out without her, in the same way Oliver and her need time alone as do Lucy and I.

"Milo do you have any popcorn?" Lincoln asked walking into the kitchen stopping when he saw me on the phone. 'Sorry' He mouthed.

"And who else is there?" Lucy asked already knowing the answer.

I pointed to a cupboard where the popcorn was, Lincoln nodded walking over to it.

"Lincoln and Wyatt." Lincoln's head snapped over to me as he heard his name.

"I can believe you're stealing my friends." She joked.

"Well maybe if you spoke to girls you could host a girls night." I smirked knowing what her reply would be.

"Girl's are bitches." She muttered.

I laughed. "I'm not one hundred percent sure but I think that's offensive."

"Whatever, I'll call you tomorrow." She said.

"Alright bye." I ended the call.

Lincoln had pulled the popcorn out of the cupboard and was now reading the instructions on the bag.

I reached over taking it from him our hands brushing against each other. "I can do it don't worry." I told him.

He nodded staring down at his hand slightly dazed. He silently stalked out of the room. I stared at where he had been confused before shrugging it off and beginning to make the popcorn.

I walked into the living room settling the snacks on the coffee table before sitting down on the couch.

Wyatt had settled in the arm chair, Oliver seemed quite comfortable on the floor while Lincoln was no where to be seen.

"Why haven't you started it?" Oliver asked me.

"Lincoln's not here yet." I stated the obvious.

Wyatt glanced over to me. "He had to leave, his mum wanted him home for dinner."

"Oh okay." I mumbled disappointed. I tried not to let it show but I know Wyatt noticed, I just grabbed the remote playing the movie.

We were half way through the movie before I got a phone call, I grabbed it answering quickly hoping that it was Lincoln.

"Hey baby." A slurred voice sounded through the speakers.

I sighed standing up. Both Wyatt and Oliver looked at me confused.

"Are you drunk?" I asked Nate.

"No... Wait." He thought for a moment. "Yes I am."

"Where are you?" I groaned.

"Outside." As he said this there was a loud knock on the door, Buddy jumped up from his bed barking at it.

I hung up the phone walking over to the door. When I opened it he fell forward knocking me to the ground. Wyatt and Oliver helped to pull Nate up so I could stand.

"Who's this guy?" Wyatt asked amused lifting Nate's arm over his shoulder as Oliver did the same.

Oliver laughed. "Milo's ex."

Wyatt's face dropped. "Oh."

"Not ex." Nate interrupted. "Still dating."

I rolled my eyes walking into the kitchen pouring a glass of water. Can't I just have a relaxing night?

Lincoln P.O.V-

"You need to get back here now!" Wyatt shouted through the mindlink.

I groaned. "I'm kind of busy right now."

"Why do you sound out of breath?" He asked confused.

I could feel a blush spreading across my face. "Well..." I trailed off hoping he would get the idea.

"Oh god!" He exclaimed. "Well stop it, Milo's ex just turned up."

"Crap." I cursed. "I'll be there when I finish."

"Why are you even doing that? I thought that when you meet your mate you can't really do it unless they help you." Wyatt questioned. "I know I can't."

"Well he got the thought in my head." I admitted.

"How?" Wyatt laughed.

"Well, our hands brushed..."I whispered.

He burst out laughing. "No way!"

"Shut up." I grumbled.

"You got turned on because he touched your hand!" He cackled.

I growled at him before cutting off the mindlink.

I arrived at Milo's house and the building was completely silent. The door swung open only a few seconds after I knocked on it.

Wyatt was stood there looking slightly stressed. "Finally." He huffed although I could see the amusement in his eyes.

"Why's you hair wet?" He asked reaching forward to ruffle my hair. "You really thought you had time to shower?"

"I had to." I gritted out annoyed by his questions.

He burst out laughing. "I bet that shower wasn't warm."

I rolled my eyes pushing past him and entering the house.

"Oh hey, you're back." Oliver greeted.

"Uh yeah, Wyatt needed a lift back." I lied.

"Maybe you can help us with Nate." Oliver pointed out. "He's pretty drunk."

Nate. God he just sounds like a dick.

"Sure, where is he?" I asked looking around.

"He in the guest bedroom with Milo." Oliver pointed up the stairs.

The though of Milo alone with a boy made bile rise in my throat, let alone his ex boyfriend. I just nodded to Oliver making my way to the room. I knocked on the door and I could faintly here Milo telling me to come in.

I opened it remaining in the doorway as I took in the scene in front of me. The boy, Nate, was hunched over a bucket throwing up meaning I couldn't really see anything apart from his blonde hair. Milo looked worn out as he rubbed the boys back soothingly making my muscles tense.

"You're back." He stated with a slight sigh.

I wasn't sure how to respond so I just shrugged. "Oliver said you might need help."

"It's fine, I've done this dozens of times." He told me. "He throws up, gets quite hyper then I have to quieten him down."

"How do you quieten him down?" I questioned curiously.

He thought for a moment, before groaning. "Dammit, sex used to shut him up."

My wolf fought to escape my head, my anger grew to an extent I didn't know was possible and vomit threatened to spill from my mouth.

Milo must have noticed how how uncomfortable his words made me. "Sorry."

"N-no it's fine." I mumbled yet my hands still trembled.

Nate lifted his head from the bucket flopping onto the bed, his eyes wide. I could see why Milo dated him, this guy was quite attractive. Plus I'm pretty sure this was the guy he was with at the bar.

"Hey, I'm Nate." His voice was slurred but there was a charming smile on his face.

"Lincoln." I responded not really looking at him.

"Oh like Abraham!" He exclaimed with a clap.

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah"

"You can go." Milo told me. "My mum will be home soon, she knows how to deal with drunk people."

I nodded standing up and leaving the room.
