Chapter Eleven - Rita's Party
Milo's P.O.V -
"No way." Oliver laughed as I recited my entire conversation with my mum.
"Oh and before I left for school she asked if I used a condom and if I saw both girls nine months after having sex with them." I cringed.
Lucy snorted obviously failing to hold back her laughter. "I would pay to see your face during that talk."
"Talking about me?" Rita asked amused popping up from no where.
"You may have came up in an incredibly awkward conversation with my mum." I smiled.
She giggled. "Bet that was fun."
"So were you just eavesdropping or did you come here for a reason?" I asked keeping my tone light so that I didn't sound annoyed.
"Oh right!" She pulled up the chair beside Lucy and sat down.
"I'm having a party at my house tonight, super last minute. My aunt had a baby this morning so my parents are going to New York for the weekend to visits her." She explained. "So do you want to come, it won't be too big. About fifty people."
Fifty still sounded like a biggish party but Rita has hosted parties before which always had at least double that. Her house was massive so having lots of people round wasn't an issue.
"Sounds fun." I agreed.
Rita looked over at Oliver and Lucy for answers. "I'll be there." Oliver nodded.
Lucy looked at her hesitantly. "Uh, I don't know."
Rita looked at her with sympathy having heard what had happened at the last party we went to. "There's only going to be people from here there, no one else I promise. You'll know everyone there."
Lucy remained quiet for a moment. "I'll think about it." She forced a smile.
Oliver wrapped his arm over her shoulders and massaged her shoulder.
"Okay great." Rita got up to leave.
"Can we invite two of our friends?" I asked suddenly.
She nodded. "They can come, just make sure they don't invite anyone else." She pleaded.
"They won't." I reassured her.
"Bye." She waved before walking off and returning to the table full of cheerleaders.

"Yeah we're about to leave now." I told Wyatt through the phone. "Are you almost ready?"
"I am, Lincoln on the other hand has been doing his hair for half an hour." He joked.
"I have not!" Lincoln shouted from the background. "It's been like five minutes."
There was a few moments of movement on their side of the phone.
"We'll be ready by the time you get here." Lincoln told me.
"And you're not too dressed up?" I asked cautiously.
"Shirt and jeans like you told me." He responded amused.
I had tried to get him to wear a t shirt or a jumper at the very least but he wouldn't hear any of it. "Good, we'll be there in about ten minutes."
We left and soon enough we were waiting outside their house. It didn't take long for them to climb into the car.
I rolled my eyes looking at Lincoln who was in the passenger seat. Oliver had moved to the back so he could sit next to Lucy who had eventually decided to come with us.
"What's with the tie?" I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Should I not be wearing a tie?" He asked confused.
I looked at Wyatt to see if he was being serious. "We don't go to parties much." Wyatt informed to which I nodded slowly.
I faced forward starting the car. "Lose the tie and unbutton the top button." I advised.
He nodded quickly doing as I said putting it in the glove compartment. I headed towards Lucy's house and waited for five minutes for her to leave the house.
When she finally did I frowned at her. Lucy always wore the shortest dresses to parties she loved them and they filled half her wardrobe, but here she was in jeans, a long sleeved jumper and flats? She never wears flats, she says they're for old people.
Oliver unbuckled his seat belt stepping out of the car. "Luce you sit in the middle my legs won't fit in there." She nodded shuffling into the middle seat.
I noticed a small glint in Wyatt's eyes obviously happy with his mate being so close.
"Oh you weren't joking when you said we should dress casually." Lincoln said looking at Lucy.
I glared furiously at him. "Shut up."
No one said anything as I began to drive and it remained that way until I parked outside Rita's house.
Oliver pulled Lucy out of the car quickly entering the house excitedly. I took the key stuffing it in my pocket and promising myself that I would not get back in the vehicle until tomorrow morning unless someone sober was driving.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude." Lincoln apologized walking towards the house.
"It's fine." I looked at his frowning expression. "Lucy doesn't really want to be here after what happened last time so she's on edge and I don't want anyone making her feel worse." I warned.
Wyatt nodded from the other side of me with a face full of concern. "We'll be careful."
I smiled gratefully. "Let's go inside then."
As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a tipsy Rita.
"Hi!" She exclaimed pulling me into a hug.
"Hey." I said once she took a step back.
"These must be your friends." She suddenly became overly excited. "I'm Rita, it's nice to meet you."
Unlike some of her friends Rita didn't throw herself at every hot guy, so the way she was looking at them confused me.
"I'm Lincoln." He smiled at her.
"Wyatt." Wyatt grinned.
"Drinks are over there." She gestured to where I knew the kitchen was. "And Milo can I talk to you for a moment?"
I nodded following her back out of the house and into the front garden.
"What's wrong?" I asked once I realized her confused expression.
"Um those two guys." She started. "Lincoln and Wyatt, you know who they are right?"
My eyes widened, I stayed quiet not sure what to say. Was she talking about the same thing as me. "Yeah?" I replied unsure.
"How did you make friends with Eastwood kids?" She spoke astonished. "Trust me I've tried and they all ignore me, but somehow you're suddenly friends with their quarterback and wide receiver."
"I didn't know they played football." Was the only reply I could come up with. So she didn't know they were werewolves, that was close.
She laughed. "Only you could become friends with hottest, most popular people in town and not know."
"I guess." I shrugged. Were they really this much off a big deal? I had never heard of them before?
"Oh my god, they're at my party." She gasped. "This is huge."
"They were at Sarah's party too." I told her.
"That was a huge party though so no one would have noticed." She rambled her eyes wide. "Everyone's going to envy me, this is incredible."
I rolled my eyes at her. "How narcissistic of you."
She punched my shoulder. "You know i'm vain when i'm drunk."
I nodded. It was weird, whenever she had a couple drinks she suddenly became in love with herself. Contrasting with her usual self conscious personality.
"Alright, go get a drink." She suggested, I walked inside with her.
She walked off to find her friends while I made my way to the kitchen. Lincoln and Wyatt were stood there making a drink, Lincoln pulled out a suspicious looking glass bottle pouring some of its contents into the cup.
"Spiking drinks?" I asked half serious, grabbing a bottle of vodka and filling a quarter of the cup with it before adding some coke.
"Yeah, my own." Lincoln smiled taking a sip from the cup.
I frowned reaching over to look at it. I stared at the slightly blue tinted liquid confused. "What is it?" I took of the cap sniffing it and wincing at the overwhelming alcohol smell.
"It's especially designed for werewolves." Wyatt explained. As Lincoln took it from me adding some more to his drink before putting the bottle in his pocket.
"We can't really get drunk without it." Lincoln added.
"What happens if I drink it?" I spoke curiously taking a sip of my drink.
"Alcohol poisoning." Lincoln answered seriously. "Well we should probably go with everyone else and be sociable." He took a large gulp of his drink before walking off.
I watched him leave with a tilted head. "Is he okay, he seems off?"
"There's been a few problems in the pack, so he's a bit stressed." Wyatt explained. "So he's probably going to get really drunk."
"Oh that's the exact same idea I had." I smiled sipping my drink.
"Well I'm staying sober so I'll be able to look after you two." He offered.
"Thanks." I took another sip. "Let's go find Lincoln."
We found him in the basement sat in a large circle playing what looks likes never have I ever. Wyatt and I sat beside him, I spotted Lucy and Oliver sitting opposite us along with Rita.
"Never have I ever..." Trailed off one girl as she though for a moment. "Had sex?" She asked lamely.
Everyone rolled their eyes at her. That was such a basic question. Almost everyone took a sip of their drink, apart from Lincoln and two girls.
I noticed a few people looking at Lincoln in surprise. This makes sense, everyone expects attractive people to have had sex at some point.
It was now a boy I was acquaintances with because of the basketball team's turn. He smirked. "Never have I ever had sex with someone in this room."
Lucy and Oliver both looked at each other with large smiles sipping their drinks, Oliver had a beer and Lucy just had water. Wyatt tensed beside me looking down at the floor.
I sighed taking a sip from my own drink, Lincoln turned to look at me with dark confused eyes.
"Who?" He asked with an undertone of anger.
"Rita." I mumbled. I noticed most other people had broken out in conversation.
"I don't know who that is." Lincoln's eyes narrowed as he looked around at everyone.
"The girl who spoke to us when we got here." I glanced over to where she was flirting with a boy.
"A girl?" He growled.
Did he not get that from the name Rita?
"Why are you annoyed?" I questioned astonished.
"I'm not." He glared.
"Wow." I let out.
"I'm sorry if I don't like hearing about how many people you've slept with." He crossed his arms in annoyance.
"You're the one who asked in the first place." I pointed out.
"Well maybe if you weren't such a slut I wouldn't be annoyed." He growled once again.
I looked at him with wide eyes, now I'm mad. "Seriously?"
Wyatt's expression matched mine. "Calm down, Lincoln."
"It's not my fault you're a prude." I huffed.
"There's nothing wrong with not having sex at eighteen." He narrowed his eyes.
"Yes, and there's nothing wrong with having sex at eighteen." I retorted.
"Once or twice is fine but not the amount of people you've done it with." He said.
"Now you're pissing me off." I clenched my jaw.
His face softened slightly and he went to respond when my phone began to ring.
I looked down to see my mum's name flashing on the screen. I stood up, walking up the stairs and out the house into the garden.
"Hi mama." I answered the phone.
"Where are you?" She asked straight away.
"At a Rita's party, I told you remember?" I spoke confused.
"Oh right." She answered. "Are you coming home or sleeping at someone house?"
"I'll probably go to Lucy's, but I'll text you later and let you know." I explained.
"Okay, have fun and be careful." She hung up the phone.
I drank the rest of my drink in silence before turning to enter the house. I stopped when I saw Lincoln stood a few yards away.
"Came here to call me a slut again?" I raised a brow.
"I didn't mean that." Was his lame apology.
"Actually I think you did." I stated. "Just because I've slept with a few people doesn't give you the right to judge me, and we're not even together so you have no right to get mad!" I raised my voice.
"How the fuck is that my fault." His voice matched my volume. "I've told you how I feel about you, and I've told you my biggest secret. You're the one that's distant and keeps shit from me."
"We haven't known each other for long what do you expect!" I threw my hands in the hair. "You have no idea what I'm going through, so I suggest you wait until I'm ready to tell you or you can leave now."
"If I knew what was going on then I would be more patient." He sighed.
"I'm not going to fucking tell you, so get over it." I exclaimed.
He rolled his eyes. "I wanted a night to relax after a stressful couple days, so I can't be bothered to deal with this right now.
He pulled out the bottle from earlier pouring half of it into his cup. "Cheers." He drank the entire thing before walking back into the house.
I stood their for a few minutes before walking inside and heading to the kitchen. I grabbed a bottle of vodka and poured out five shots, drinking one after the other.
Then the rest of the night went black.
