âQin!â Lu Weixi just managed to voice the surname, not daring enough to call out the given name.
He had just fancied more exaggerated styles, to which she had remained silent. Would she believe it if he made one more reckless moveâ¦
âHuh, sister Xi, whatâs the matter.â For now, Qin Zhiyou was extremely addicted to this address, casually made the remark again.
The response he got was rather stern, as Lu Weixi heavily stomped on Qin Zhiyouâs foot and then stormed off angrily.
Sensing the danger, he rushed to pay and signed the bill. Qin Zhiyou quickly bolted out the door, catching up to her in a few strides, âSister Xi.â
Lu Weixi didnât bother to respond and walked even faster.
âWife.â He hastily switched his address and took a few quick strides to keep up with her. Lu Weixi didnât respond to him, and continued to barrel forward.
Seeing her dash towards the elevator, he reached out and yanked her arm, pulling her to the side as a crowd emerged from the elevator. Lu Weixi was dissatisfied: âQin Zhiyou!â
Qin Zhiyou didnât respond to her, just held her in his arms and ignored her struggle.
The elevator door opened and closed again. The people passing by believed they were nothing but a normal couple â the kind of couple having a tiff. The girlfriend was upset; the boyfriend coaxed and hugged her, even stole a kiss amidst the chaos, leading the girlfriend to stomp her feet again in anger and leave in a huff.
Although she had walked away, Lu Weixiâs anger had cooled down quite a bit. Just looking at Qin Zhiyou, she still found him annoying, wishing that she could just rip off that mouth of his!
With Qin Zhiyou chasing after her, she refused to take the elevator; she moved faster with escalators. She went from the third to second floor, and then around to the first floor. Just as she was about to walk out the main door, Qin Zhiyou grabbed her hand. Lu Weixi tried to shake it off, but he pointed towards the door, âFang Rushuang is over there.â
Lu Weixi glanced over and didnât see anyone. Recalling the embarrassment in the shop earlier, she decided against walking towards the door even without seeing them. She was successfully pulled upstairs by Qin Zhiyou.
While they were moving up, they used the escalator. A child insisted on rushing to the front. Qin Zhiyou, quick to react, pulled Lu Weixi right into his arms. The child, sharp as a sword, immediately rushed upstairs. His mother apologized from behind, âThank you.â
âNo problem.â Lu Weixi replied, but when she looked up, she found herself in his arms, Qin Zhiyouâs face only a few inches away from hers.
Lu Weixi felt somewhat uncomfortable. As soon as they arrived on the upper floor, she broke free from Qin Zhiyouâs hold. But, he wouldnât be easily left behind and immediately gave chase. With no other options, Lu Weixi took another round upstairs, taking the escalator up. As soon as she stepped onto the escalator, Qin Zhiyou was right there, following her â and then, his finger slipped into hers, their hands interlocked.
The moment their fingertips touched, Lu Weixi felt like she had been struck by lightning. It was as if a minute electric current passed from his fingertips to her hand, then up her arm, to her heart, up her spine to her brain, and finally, to every part of her body.
She had never felt anything like this before. Even when she used to date Qin Zhigu, despite the countless times they held hands, sheâd never felt this way. Evenâwhen she was close to Qin Zhiyou before, she didnât experience this.
Sparks flying, electricity shimmering, her entire body was slightly trembling, making it difficult for her to stand still.
