Xue Feifei was so eager to move that the moment she signed the lease and received the keys from the realtor, she wanted to relocate instantly.

Initially, she had felt awkward staying at Tian Tian’s place, even though the entire incident with Yu Sixing was incited by her blocking drinks for Tian Tian. But she later realized that even if she hadn’t run into this issue, Yu Sixing would have still targeted her, and it wasn’t Tian Tian’s fault.

However, the prospect of moving immediately after signing a lease seemed implausible even if her luggage was already packed and all she had to do was transport a suitcase. Tian Tian vehemently dissuaded her from moving late at night and after much persuasion, convinced her to move the next day when she could come along and lend a helping hand.

Xue Feifei agreed to this, and Lu Weixi immediately applied for leave from work. Upon hearing this, Qin Zhiyou was overjoyed, “Are you planning to spend Chinese Valentine’s Day with me?”

Lu Weixi bluntly rejected him: “Nope, I am going to help Xue Feifei with her move.”

“I know, but how does this concern us?” Lu Weixi replied, leaving Qin Zhiyou at a loss for words for quite some time. Finally gathering himself, he nodded, “Alright, I’ll be working overtime anyway.”

Lu Weixi didn’t think much of it, but she glanced back at Qin Zhiyou once more before leaving, “I’ll drive myself to her place tomorrow. I won’t need you to drop me off.”

Qin Zhiyou initially introduced this apartment to her. As Qin Zhiyou asked her to keep this a secret, she didn’t mention it. However, after Xue Feifei signed the lease, she told Lu Weixi not to reveal her new address to Qin Zhiyou.

Although Lu Weixi found this a bit strange, she didn’t expect Yu Sixing to stoop so low as to harm his own friend. She agreed to Xue Feifei’s request.

Qin Zhiyou simply responded, “Oh”, without further comments. He mentioned, “I have to go back to work later. I have tasks to handle.”

Seeing as how he had been preparing to rest, Lu Weixi was surprised he suddenly had work to do. Qin Zhiyou turned around and flashed three fingers, “Three times yesterday during work hours.”

Before leaving, he pinched her cheek as though he couldn’t help himself. His hand lingered perhaps because it felt nice or maybe he pinched a little too hard because he eventually drew a protest from Lu Weixi, “Get lost!”

Only then did he retract his hand and step outside.

Once outside, the smiles that originally adorned his face faded away as he sank into the back seat of the car. After a long pause, he inquired in a low, detached tone, “Where is she?”

Secretary Wang, who was adept at driving, reassured him, “She has been discharged from the hospital and is staying in her own apartment. Mr. Qin, don’t worry, I’ve checked. There are no paparazzi lurking around her place.”

“Hmm.” Qin Zhiyou simply nodded and fell into silence. The car smoothly drove out of the Qin mansion and into the city, weaving through the streets until it quickly arrived at a certain location.

Lu Weixi was actually familiar with the location of this house. She was initially commissioned to design it, but the project was cancelled due to creative differences, costing her a compensation fee of thirty thousand.

Qin Zhiyou and Secretary Wang entered the building, ascended the stairs and rang the doorbell. From inside came a faint, slightly panicked voice, “Who is it?”
