But, his lips slightly open, wanting to say something yet failing to utter a word.
He just turned away, undressing his coat, shirt, and suit pants, leaving only the white tank top and shorts underneath. He was trying to find a towel and pajamas. However, when he opened the wardrobe and fumbled around, he couldnât find anything.
Lu Weixi was the same. She was still wrapped in a towel, droplets falling from her hair. She lowered her head, silently wiping the water droplets from her hair.
For a moment, it was quiet in the room, save for the rustling sound of clothes being moved around.
Qin Zhiyou finally found the towel and pajamas. Meanwhile, Lu Weixi had also removed her towel and put on her pjâs. The two of them simultaneously threw their used clothes into the laundry basket, their hands accidentally touching. At the moment their fingertips made contact, they both turned to look at each other.
So close to each other, under the dim yellow light of the bedroom, their eyes met in the air, sparking for a moment. Both of them wanted to ask the other what they intended, but just when they leaned in closer, they both jerked back as if scalded, even retreating further.
âIâm going to take a shower / Iâm going to dry my hair.â
As they both stepped back, they simultaneously blurted out these words. After which, Qin Zhiyou watched as Lu Weixi walked towards the dressing table. He saw her sit down and find a hair dryer, only then did he turn to enter the bathroom.
Yet, as soon as the bathroom door closed, Lu Weixi put down the hair dryer.
She was confused. She should have just followed her motherâs advice and divorced him. Even if they didnât divorce, she should keep her distance from him.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
Although Qin Zhiyou promised not to fool around anymore, his promise didnât stem from love for her. If Liu Yiyi hadnât made such a big fuss, forcing his grandfather to use his inheritance as a threat, he wouldnât have made such a vow.
Even if he did vow, peopleâs hearts can change and who knows if heâll keep his promise in the future. Itâs more than possible that after his grandfather passes and he inherits the family fortune, he might promptly kick her to the curb.
âMoreover, although sheâs not the type to dredge up the past, thinking about her husbandâs numerous past lovers still left a bad taste in her mouth. Who wouldnât want their love to be pure, to be sure that they possess all of their loverâs heart? Even if Qin Zhiyou did have some feelings for her, she couldnât be certain of his physical fidelity. How could she not mind that?
But to actually divorce⦠She didnât know. She felt a little hollow inside. Like there was a hole in her heart, with the wind blowing through.
After finishing his shower, Qin Zhiyou came out and saw Lu Weixi sitting at the dressing table, diligently drying her hair. He walked over, naturally took the hairdryer from her hand, stood behind her, and helped her dry her hair.
Lu Weixi watched the two of them in the mirror. The hair dryer blew her long hair, held by him at the fingertips, and watched as it fluttered in the air. Strands blowing, like quickly growing wild grass.
She didnât know when exactly, but Qin Zhiyou had finally dried her hair and set the hairdryer aside. He didnât move, neither did Lu Weixi. He slightly bowed his head, looking at her in the mirror, and she too, was watching him in the mirror. Qin Zhiyou took a strand of her hair in his hands, twirled it around his fingertips before finally speaking, âLetâs⦠not get a divorce.â
