The day before Comiket.

I was on the train, replying to a LINE from Otomizu, which was my daily routine every morning.

–Good morning, Sasamiya-san!

–Good morning. We’re going to Big Site1 today, so get ready.

–Yes!

We were going to check on the progress of the corporate booth arrangements today.

It was Otomizu’s first time working at Big Site, so I could understand how nervous she was.

Oops, I got another line from Otomizu.

–Have you ever been to Comiket, Sasamiya-san?

–I have, as a visitor. My sister wanted to see some cosplay, so I took her there once.

–You must really care about your sister.

–I’m just worried about her.

She was in her school uniform again today, so she was probably attending morning practice for club activities.

Whether Kaedezaka or Yuika, why would they take pleasure seeing me in trouble?

Yuika then broached another subject.

“By the way, you were on LINE earlier, your junior?”

“Yeah. It was a business matter.”

“I always wonder, does Yuika have a boyfriend?”

I had not asked her for details about her friendships, but she was a relatively good talker.

“I think someone from another school confessed to me the other day.” She said,

“Yeah. I think he was comparatively good looking.” She replied,

“Don’t talk about me like I’m not good-looking.” I said,

I never considered myself to be good-looking, but it hurts to be called that.

“And what about his personality?” I asked,

“He is a kind man. He always has a smile on his face.”

“I see. ….”

“Cheer up.”

“Don’t say that like I am completely unsociable.”

“You’re always like that, aren’t you?” She said,

“I was.” I replied,

But from what I have heard, the other guy sounded like a pretty nice guy.

A good looking face and a gentle personality. Now that’s cheating, don’t you think?

Ha~. …. A guy for Yuika? ….

I thought it was not surprising that she had one, but to hear it directly from her like this was quite shocking.

Normally Yuika appeared to be indifferent, but I was sure that in front of her boyfriend she would speak with a sparkling expression on her face.

It was not my place to say anything about it, but it was kind of amusing…

“So Yuika is going with that guy?” I asked,

“No. I turned him down.”

“Eh!? Why?”

“Why do you think that is?” She asked,

“I don’t know.”

“Understandable, you are Onii-san after all.”

Yuika was convinced that I was some kind of special creature.

Was it that unusual that I didn’t know why she turned him down?

“But the conditions were perfect.” (T/N: Conditions as in dude was perfect.)

“It wasn’t that I didn’t like the person or anything, but I thought maybe now was not the right  time. ….”

“Is that how it is?”

“I have a lot of things going on too.”

The way she said that didn’t sound like a normal high school girl.

What do you mean by “lot of things”?

Then Yuika said, “Oh yeah,” and turned her gaze to me.

“I’m going out with my friends first thing tomorrow morning, so I won’t be able to see you, but don’t worry.

Speaking of tomorrow, isn’t it the day of Comiket?

I would be going straight to the work site too, so I wouldn’t be able to meet her either.

Friends of Yuika…

I wonder who they were.

Since it was right after she was confessed to by someone, I suspect that there might be a guy there as well.

While I was thinking about this, Yuika suddenly said,

“By the way, they are all girls.”

“I see.”

”Are you relieved?”

“Phew. ….No, I’m not worried about it.”

“I’d love to hear what you really think.”

“I feel only slightly relieved.”
