The final check for the Comiket, which we did today, went off without a hitch.
It was a time-consuming process and it was already evening now.
Should I walk Kaedezaka to the nearest station?
âIt will be dark soon, Iâll give you a lift.â
I got up and went to get my car keys.
But Kaedezaka shook her head.
âAnyway, Iâm going to cook you dinner.â
âEh! Kaedzaka?â
âYes. Iâm going to make a home cooked meal for you, So be grateful for it.â
That was a little surprising.
I had never seen her acting like a normal girl before, so I had never imagined her cooking.
But she graduated from a school for young ladies. Certainly she was skilled at cooking.
This looked promising.
Then Kaedezaka took out her phone and asked me.
âSo whatâll it be? Pizza and sushi are the leading candidates, but curry is also quite good.â
âDelivery?â
My hopes were shattered within seconds.
âYou know. I donât call delivery a home-cooked meal.â
âThatâs rude. Iâll serve you on a plate.â
âI ⦠I donât think Iâm being rude at all. â¦â
Can she even cook in the first place?
I would suspect thatâ¦
Let me ask her something.
âBy the way, what is your specialty?â
âI think chilled tofu.â
âAnything else?â
âEggs on rice.â
âIâd like to hear more.â
âYou are extravagant. And I can make boiled tofu.â
I â¦, can I cry â¦
There were all kinds of women out there, but I had never seen a woman who had threw away her femininity to this extent.
Kaedezaka giggled when she saw me holding my head with my hands.
âI was just joking. Itâs time to get serious.â
âYouâre teasing me too much. â¦â
âBy the way, howâs your grip on the knife?â Kaedezaka asked.
âYou, Youâre so clunky except when working. â¦â
In the end, Kaedezaka decided to make stir-fried vegetables.
It was a fairly simple dish, so I doubt she would fail, but still would it be okay?â¦
Worried, I peeked into the kitchen and found that Kaedezaka was struggling, as expected.
âOi Oi. Itâs Dangerous. Shall I take over cutting?â
âItâs all right. Iâd appreciate it if you donât underestimate me.â
âI see. Then, Iâll leave it to youâ
I tried to go back to the living room because I thought it would be dangerous to forcefully help her. However, Kaedezaka stopped me without any delay.
ââ¦But⦠if possible, just for a minute .., can you teach me how to use a knife?â
âAll right.â
She must have been struggling a lot to ask for my help.
I should seriously teach her now.
However, she probably would not understand even if I told her verbally.
I placed my hands on her hand and leaned in closer to support her movement with the knife.
She was left-handed, so it was a bit difficult to support her, but I think I could at least manage to teach her how to cut
âTilt it a little bit like this. This hand here.â
â⦠Y⦠yes.â
But this situation was a bit embarrassing.
I was supporting her by putting my hands around her from behind, but to someone looking from outside it would be as if I was hugging her.
Although I created a gap between us so that we would not be in close contact, it was normal for a man to be conscious of a girl so close to him.
âHey, â¦, Sasamiya-san.â
âHmm?â
âIâd like to lean on you a little. That way I can stabilize myself better.â
ââ¦Ah⦠If you are okay with it.â
When Kaedezaka leaned back on me, it brought us into full contact with each other.
""
Or rather, isnât this bad?
One more step and we would hug each other⦠or almost hugging each other.
Even I was nervous, so perhaps the shy Kaedezaka might even be more nervous.
However, I didnât sense any signs of panic from her.
Although I could not see Kaedezakaâs expression, I could see that she was even relaxed.
Then she giggled.
âFufufu~. When I was a child, my father used to read me books with his hand wrapped around back. It brings back memories.â
âEhh. You had a childhood too?â
âItâs natural. Mou~â
She shook her body like a spoiled child, pretending to refute it. She seemed to be in a pretty good mood.
It looked like Kaedezaka liked being hugged from behind like this.
It was important to relax when using a knife, and for now letâs just keep on cooking.
ä¸One hour laterâ¦
After struggling a lot, We managed to finish the vegetable stir-fry.
I didnât know this was such a hard dish to prepareâ¦
Kaedezaka looked extremely pleased after eating the stir-fried vegetables she had prepared herself.
âItâs delicious. Iâm a genius after all.â
âYou say that a lot.â
I had to spend a lot of time just chopping, and it was hard to fry them in a pan.
Though, She sure does know how to season it well.
When I was feeling a little sleepy after finishing my meal, Kaedezaka spoke to me in a sweet voice.
âHey, Sasamiya-san.â
âHmm?â
â⦠I want to sleep on your lap.â
âYou shouldnât sleep after eating. Itâs bad for you.â
âBoo~.â
A few unexpected things happened, but at least the day went off without a hitch.
I felt somewhat closer to Kaedezaka, and certainly this would help me in completing the job smoothly.
