Chapter 38: - June 26 (Friday): In The Room With Kaedezaka

As I was about to take a rest in my room at the hotel, Kaedezaka, the trouble maker, suddenly appeared.

I wondered if Yuika also came, but she seemed to be exhausted from her first flight and was already asleep.

So Kaedezaka, who had a lot of time on her hands, came to visit me.

I thought about turning her away instantly, but Kaedezaka entered my room and laid out cans of beer on the round table without any regards to my convenience.

“If you were coming, I wish you had called me.”

“I didn’t even know you guys were here. You’re underage. What are you trying to do, drink like a normal person?”

“Oh. I recently turned 20, remember?”

“Ah, is that so?”

I thought she was in her first year of college, but I guess I was wrong.

Kaedezaka sat down on the two-seater sofa and offered me a can.

“It’s a good opportunity for us to talk.”

“Well, you’re offering me a drink. I’ll take it.”

“Here’s the receipt.”

Then, we were drinking and chatting.

It was more like Kaedezaka was talking and I was listening, but I didn’t feel too bad about it.

“Oh, by the way, you came here to collect information for your new illustration, didn’t you?”

“That’s what I told Yuika, but I’m also here to check out the campaign event.”

Ah, so that’s how it is.

I thought it was strange that our timing was so perfect, but it made sense if Kaedezaka was on the trip for the same reason as us.

However, it was probably a complete coincidence that we ended up at the same hotel.

“And traveling is a great way to gather material. When I’m stuck in my room editing videos all the time, I just want to throw the mouse.”

Sighing in disgust, Kaedezaka gulped down her beer and placed the can on the table.

I had only heard about it from , but I heard that video production took  a lot of time and effort, not to mention the filming and editing.

Judging from the way she was talking, Kaedezaka must be doing it all by herself.

On top of that, she attended college, so that was a big deal.

“I’ll go out with you to listen to you complain once in a while. Just don’t get too bogged down.”

“It’s normal.”

Kaedezaka clasped her hands together with a goddess smile.

“Then … please, can you run through the sea of trees in Fuji while wearing stockings over your head and white briefs and screaming ‘Gimojii!’?”

“That’s not normal.”

I  heard that creators needed to have the ability to come up with different ideas. But in her case, I think she should be a little more in tune with humanity’s taste.

When I frowned at her, Kaedezaka smiled wickedly.

“Fufufu~~. I’m just kidding.”

“I’m afraid that when you say it, it doesn’t sound like a joke.”

“Mou~. I don’t trust you.”

“Before that, do you even see me as a human being?”

Then Kaedezaka turned serious.

“… Eh? What are you talking about?”

“I’m gonna be so mad.”

“Now, I said I was joking. I’ll give you the stockings I was wearing as an apology. If you want to eat it, you’d better eat it soon.”

But this was not the first time Kaedezaka has taken this kind of attitude, and I would only be confused if she were to change into a serious character now.

“Ne~, Sasamiya-san.”

Kaedezaka, sitting on a two-seater sofa, tapped the seat next to her with her hand.

It might be a gesture to tell me to “come over” there,……, but it was not …, it was fishy.

“Sit here.”

“Come on.”

I hope you’re not going to do something stupid again.

But I felt like I might freak out if I left her like this, so I would just sit down for now.

With a sigh, I sat down next to Kaedezaka.

When I looked at her, Kaedezaka looked at me with satisfaction and smiled.

With a shout, Kaedezaka laid down and rested her head on my lap.

There was not enough space for her to stretch her legs, so her legs were left hanging outside, but her thighs were exposed because she was wearing a yukata.

I’m shy, you should hold back a bit.

As I averted my gaze, Kaedezaka began to speak in a leisurely tone.

“Hah~. It’s so nice to have a lap pillow that belongs to you.”

“You really are a genius when it comes to annoying phrases.”

“It’s a compliment.”

“What part?”

“The part about it being my property.”

“It doesn’t resonate with me at all.”

Kaedezaka seemed to like my lap pillow, and her breathing slowed down.

She didn’t show it much, but she might have gotten very drunk.

“If you’re not used to drinking, take it easy.”

“Hmm~… please don’t treat me like I’m younger than you.”

Sometimes … It’s really extremely rare that she’s honest.

After a short break and the drunkenness calmed down, Kaedezaka went back to her room.
