"This is so beautiful!" Jasmine exclaimed excitedly as she drags me with her. "Yeah, they did a great job decorating everything" I compliment the art students who were responsible for decoration.
We are currently at the arts facility of our campus, for the belated Halloween party which is being hosted here tonight. The large ground which is filled with beautiful paintings under our feet and the trees and lamps were filled with lanterns and cute little flags
There's a fountain in between the ground, lights illuminating around it which makes the water shine with different colors like rainbows. This looks more of a celebration than a halloween party. The sun is already set and the lamps are lit up giving the atmosphere a more lively feeling.
There are many food stalls set up by students of different departments and stalls for games too.
Students have already started to gather as the party has begun. I could see many dressed up in their favorite characters like Disney princesses, their profession or mythical creatures like vampires and stuff. This place is mixed with both soft and dark core.
"Damn- I can't recognise anyone" Jasmine says as she is still holding my hand as her eyes wander around trying to spot her friends "Yeah the make up skills are really on top" I Chuckle. Even I can't recognise my friends among them
Jasmine is dressed up as Princess Jasmine from Aladdin. She didn't even have to try, she had this light blue Indian dress which was perfect for Princess Jasmine's attire.The embroidery on the dress is the show stealer With some jewelry and makeup she is literally doing justice for the role. Her hair tied in bubble braids like shown in the movie
Whereas I am dressed up as Rapunzel, with my blonde hair I thought this would be the best and Tangled being my childhood,no way I was going to let this opportunity slip, with a purple silk dress with a lavender cosset, the money I spent on this thing should be worth it. It's a bit tight but I feel pretty with my hair down. I even brought purple heels with small flowers, to match with this dress. Well Rapunzel never wore shoes but I had to.
"Hey! Look at that!" Jasmine points her finger towards the fountain. That's when I notice the huge sun shaped painting on the ground before the fountain. It's the same one that was shown in Tangled . We both walk towards it to look at it closely. "It's so beautiful." I admire the design. Jasmine nods her head and clicks a few pictures of it
"Wait- I should take a few pictures of you with the painting. It will look nice!" Jasmine utter and makes me pose for the photo. After a while of clicking the pictures I moved forward to her to check them. "I give five stars to your photography skills!" I give Jasmine a thumbs up and she Chuckles. She captured this moment very well
"But there's something missing, I feel like there's something incomplete" she zooms at one of my pictures examining it . I frown "really? But I think they are nice". Jasmine doesn't agree with it and shakes her head
I open my mouth to speak but I pause feeling a light weight on my head, my fingers brush against the flower crown placed on my head.
Jasmine looks at me with her mouth hung open but soon she starts grinding and takes a few steps back and raises her phone up ready to take pictures
A arm slips in my waist from behind and gently pulls me back "Is the look complete now?" a deep voice hits my ear as I realise Liam is hugging me from behind resting his chin shoulder. His hot breath on my necks makes me shiver for a moment
"Perfect!" Jasmine shouts in excitement and starts taking out pictures
I smile for the pictures leaning against his chest as his grip gets a bit tighter not enough to hurt me. His hand slips in mine and he starts to rock me in his arms. I couldn't stop smiling at his gesture. I feel his muscles relax while he rests his head to mine
He was away for 4 days but I really missed him
Liam adjusts the flower crown on my head and presses a kiss on the side of my head and mutters "You look gorgeous"
"Thanks" I turn slightly left to look at him to find him already looking at me with a soft smile "you said your work will take more four days. Then how are you here?" I ask him. Liam was in Melbourne for last 4 days and he said it will take him another four days to be back but here he is
He chuckle "I finished my work early, you wanted me here and here I am"
He came for me?
"I am glad you are here, I really missed you" I touch his cheek with my palm
"Okay, I will forward you the pictures. I am out now!" Jasmine's voice snaps both of us out and Liam releases me from his grip. I grab Jasmine's arm before she could walk away "wait! Where are you going?"
"You have your prince now. I need to find mine too, doesn't matter if he's a theif or Genie this Jasmine needs a Aladin right now!" She groans in frustration and walks away
"I saw someone dresses as Aladin near the food stalls!" Liam yells at her and she gives him a thumbs up walking in the direction he told "Did you actually spot someone in Aladin's costume?" I question him and he nods "yeah I did, your friend might have a date soon"
I glance one last time at Jasmine as she disappeares in crowd, leaving us alone. I look back at liam, my eyes widened as I take a step back to examine his outfit long sleeved white shirt tugged to dark cream pants and a dark turquoise vest paired with the same bucket top boots
I gasp "Flynn rider!"
Liam steps forward and wraps his arms around my waist holding me closer "you finally noticed" he says with a cheeky grin. How did he dress up as Flynn rider? When I am dressed as Rapunzel. This is too good to be a coincidence. I look at him suspiciously
"Liam Carter Williams, are you stalking me?" I say in a teasing manner pretending to be a bit angry
In fact, I am not. This is the most perfect thing to ever happen wheather it's intensionally or unintentionally. This outfit suits him so well and the shirt and vest is highlighting his physique. I could see his arm muscles move under that shirt
"Maybe I am, but i thought you liked stalker, Miss Miller" he whisperes the word 'miss Miller' in my ear makes blush. What kind of effect does he have on me "I did but I didn't know my boyfriend would become one of them" I continue to tease him and warp my arms around his neck.
My action makes him raise an eyebrow but soon a mischievous smirk appears on his face as he continues to play along with our little flirting "If you want I can be a stalker, I can become a bodyguard too, a ceo? That might happen in few years"
I laugh, he is indirectly saying that he can fulfill the roles of my favourite book boyfriends. Wait how does he know? He catch me reading a few books but-
"Good Evening, Ladies and gentleman. May I have your attention please?" we all turn from where the voice was coming. Zuri stands near the fountain with a mic in her hand, with her black dress and hat it looks like she is dressed up as a witch. I did hear her mentioning that she is also hosting an event tonight but I don't know what it is.
Everyone starts to gather around her, we both also move forward to listen what she is about to speak
"I can see you all dressed up in various costumes. But let's make this night even more interesting, I can see many couples dressup in matching outfits whereas I also see the singles also matching their fit with a stranger. So I want all the couples out here for couple themed dance and all the singles too so they can find a match tonight" Zuri speaks in a eunthistic voice hyping the crowd
As she finishes everyone starts clapping and moves forward with their partner for a dance, even Jasmine comes forward with a guy, who is dressed up as Aladin. She really did find someone
I Chuckle, I hope she's happy
"May I have this dance, your highness?" Liam speaks as bends and kisses the back of my hand like I'm Disney movies . I look forward as the ground starts filling with couples around the fountain getting ready for a dance "I am not good at dancing" I say nervously, I am not into dancing and this is literally like a ball , I will definitely trip and fall
"Trust me on this"
Liam says and guides me between the people. He takes my left hand in his and keeps my right hand on his shoulder and places his hand on my back
"First we will start with the ballroom and we will be switching in between, let's see which couple will last!" Zuri says and the dj starts playing the music
It is similar to the ballroom scenes . The song didn't even start fully yet but few couples already started leaving.
"Follow me" Liam says squeezing my hand gently. I nod in response. He slowly starts moving to match the rhythm of the music, I try to lossen up my muscles as he leads my step. I keep glancing at our feet making sure I don't step on him
I can spot students dressed up as Disney couples or in couple themed costumes which makes this look like union of different universe
The song goes on as I start to relax not borthering about the surroundings anymore. Liam holds me in a firm yet comfortable grip as we sway with the music "are you comfortable?" He asks
"Yeah, I like it. I feel like i am in an actual Disney movie" I express, he suddenly pushes me away and makes me spin before pulling me closer again. This happened so fast that i couldn't even react properly but somehow i manage not to fall "how do you know this?" I am amazed by his steps it's like he did it many times
I makes me fall back and leans with me and pulls us back up together after a few seconds
"My parents always used to dance on the weekend, so I watched and learnt. This is the first time I am trying this" a sad smile appears on his face. I think this reminds him of his late father, I heard he passed away a few years ago.
I rub his shoulder trying to comfort him "you are doing great" my words make him nod as he changes his expressions. He is doing great both in dance and life too. His father will be proud
"So, tell me Mister williams. When is our first date?" I ask trying to change the topic, I am trying to tease him more because since we got into a relationship he was away but he did fulfill for that
"I do have a few things in mind but where can I take you Miss Miller?" He says in a flirtatious tone, leading my steps with his whole dancing
It's fun playing this game because he always have the best answers ready "are you sure you can handle me? My standards are high" I grin
He smirks and pulls me closer almost making me step on his foot "Don't worry about that, I can raise them even more" he leans closer to my face
"I am very expensive" I try to throw another con at him to see his reaction. Well I don't actually mean that.
"Good thing I am rich. right?" He says , his lips hovering over mine
I decide to try the last key, this might piss him off but let's try "My type is fictional" I smirk.
Well my type is him now because he is an all in one of fictional characters but if this could make me win , I will say it
"Give me a chance, I will make you forget them"
A small gasp leaves my mouth, his response always makes me speechless. I close my eyes and groan because I know I lost this game. He laughs at my reaction and rubs my back. I open my eyes again to reply to him but the song stops
"Okay, time to switch!" Zuri yells excitedly and the dj changes the song to a total opposite to the previous one. It's a similar music which is used for tangled's dance scene
"Ready for this one" Liam asked looking at others, a bunch of people starts joining for this one. I can spot Jasmine, her dance partner helping her to understand the steps of this
I nod without hesitation because I know this one. It's a called 'Céilidh' this was also shown in Tangled but I know a few steps because my brothers and I used to dance on Scottish music in our childhood
The music takes full volume and the crowd starts cheering as everyone starts forming a circle, we all raise our hand up clapping along with music while our feet tapped on the best.
Everyone starts moving with their partners
We move in a intricate patterns along the beat but slowly gets used to the steps , quickly enough our feet agile as they move effortlessly following the rhythm of the music. With every few beats we raise our hands to clap and get back to the pattern
Liam and I smiled at each other as we keep switching our positions according to the dance steps. The music gets mixed with the laughter of everyone uplifting the atmosphere. Our moments were light and energetic as the others also swayed their steps in untion. The sense of joy and harmony making us forget our worries
"Your birthday is coming soon!" Liam says raising his voice because of loud music. "How do you know-" I pause and sigh "at this point you know everything about me so it's waste to ask" I shake my head in disbelief, he chuckles as we continue to dance
"Do you have any plans with friends or family?" He asks another question
"Not this time, why do you ask?"
He steps closer to me while matching the steps making sure not to bump into me or others "I was thinking to take you on a trip!" He says
"Where?"
"To Thailand!" He answers making me stop my steps, someone suddenly bumps into me and apologizes quickly and continues to dance . Liam pulls me closer and moves a little away as I try to keep up with the steps.
Okay when he said trip I thought in Sydney or at least in Australia but he is talking about a whole different country and continent
"I have a perfect place for this, trust me. Only for two days. I promise you will love it" he says with almost a pleading tone. I could notice the excitement in his eyes. Two days isn't that bad and I know it's safe with him
I take a deep breath "okay fine but where are we going ?"
Listening to me agreeing he smiles "we are going to Chiang Mai, Thailand. That's all I can say now the rest is a suprise" we both stop dancing. My breathing is fast due to all the dancing. I can't believe I did these steps in heels, they weren't that high but I am still proud of my balance
Once it settles, I look back at him and smile "Let's see what surprise you have for me"
He leans closer to my face for a kiss, I close my eyes to feel his lips on mine again
Splash!
The crowd gasps with the sudden noise, everyone gathers around the fountain and starts Whispering among themselves. Liam and I make through the crowd in front to know what's happening.
"Oh my god!"
"Someone fell!"
"Oh shit-"
I see Jasmine helping the guy out whom she was dancing with a while ago, out of the fountain. It looks like a fell, he steps out of the fountain, he is drenched from head to toe. He glares at the crowd in anger as everyone is talking about him. But his expression changes in embarrassment and he stroms away.
The crowd also moves to their own intrest soon
I step towards Jasmine, who has an annoyef expression on her face "are you okay?" I ask rubbing her arm checking is she has some injury "how did that happen?" I ask again
"That darn fox!" She yells and walks pasts me and pushes a guy's shoulder with force but he doesn't move an inch. When I step closer to them, I recognise him, a while ago I bumped into him around the campus and with Jasmine calling him 'fox' it's clear he is the guy who thre the chocolate cake at Jasmine few months ago
Jasmine tries to push him again but that guy grabs her hand. I try to push him away from her but before that Liam comes in between and jerk's the guy's hand away "enough Lucas" Liam says in a warning tone
He is Liam's brother?
"I don't understand how you both are even related? Did you forget to inherit common sense?" Jasmine mocks at Lucas as he just glare at her with a cold gaze. He doesn't seem anger in fact he doesn't show any emotions
Jasmine knows that they are brothers?
"What were you trying? Were you trying to push me? Real mature" Jasmine's voice raises again as she continues to mock him. I never saw her this anger. Did he actual wanted to push Jasmine into the fountain? But why
"I told you. It was an accident. Got hearing issues wild cat?" Lucas says with a blant tone not bothered by Jasmine's anger
I stand beside Liam and tug his sleeve to get his attention. Noticing me he leans closer "what's happening between them?" I whisper so they don't hear
He shakes his head and leave out a sigh "I don't know properly but this is really suspicious" he says looking at both of them
"Why do you think that?"
"Lucas is not a type of guy to do a mistakes, let alone an accident. This is the first time he did something so out of his character" Liam explains. I can sense his worry for his brother but he tries to remain calm
"Don't call me that!" Jasmine yells at him
"Why? Did I hit a nerve, wildcat?" Lucas smirks at her. The word 'wildcat' seems to piss off Jasmine even more as she mutters few words in Hindi making Lucas confused
"Should we stop them?" I ask Liam
He smiles and shrugs his shoulders "nah, they will be fine on their own. We should just watch" he says and puts an arm around my shoulder pulling me closer. He is Snickering watch the fight between his brother and my best friend
"Lomri kahin ka" Jasmine yells

"Oh shut up, wildcat!" This time even Lucas yells
Oh God
This isn't gonna end well
