Fyrrah's POV

It's been three days, three long excruciating days locked up in our bedroom. Yep, Alessio claimed this as ours. I spent the said three days sleeping and lying in bed, refusing to talk to anyone. Not even Alessio. Luces came to apologize yesterday but the firestone felt threatened, let's just say he left the room being carried out. At night Alessio would cuddle with me and tell me how his day went by. Sometimes he would ask me if I wanted to go out so he could take me, and would apologize everytime he felt that he's neglecting me and not spending enough time with me.

All in all he's been caring, but their betrayal hurts and I'm still trying to figure out why. I've been betrayed many times, but this one is so agonizing. Alessio made me understand that he wasn't planning to surrender me to the fire elves, he told me that Alpha Luces felt threatened because I'm in their kingdom and I've been in his territory. Possessive and protective freaks. The action that he had done was his own fault, and Alessio certainly didn't order anything. He thought Alessio would want the elves' alliance so he attacked, to make his king proud. Proud my ass.

The thoughts I'm having faded the moment the door opened and the familiar aura of the werewolf king entered the room. "Baby?" His voice was soothing, calming my tensed muscles. The bed dipped, signaling he was climbing in and soon his arms pulled me flushed in his chest gently. "Baby, please... let me hear your beautiful voice." His voice cracked and I felt warm liquid wetting my nape. "Little elf... c'mon, give me that beautiful smile again."

I bit my lip, I never expected him to cry over me. His gentle sobs were muffled in my hair as his hands rubbed my waist gently. My heart constricted at the thought of him breaking.

"My name is Fyrrah Vulcan," I started, my throaty voice made me cringe from the lack of use. He stopped, breathing deeply before kissing my neck. "I am the youngest daughter of King Victor and Queen Elena Vulcan of the fire kingdom." He went rigid before turning me around to face him.

"My baby is a princess..." He murmured, brushing his lips softly against my forehead. "What happened then?" He asked softly.

I swallowed the lump on my throat, "When the elves reached their sixteenth birthday they will be able to control the element of their origin. So when I didn't, my father disowned me. He stripped me off the princess title."

This time he snarled, holding me close. "He what?!"

"You heard me." I rolled my eyes, rubbing his tensed muscles to relax him. "That's okay with me. As the years went by, Elisa and my brother learned that the trusted general of the king was planning to steal the firestone to be a king. We tried to stop him, while they called for reinforcements I rushed to stop him on my own. I mean, what do you expect from a naive eighteen-year-old girl?"

"You did what you know was right." He smiled. "You're brave, never doubt that." Then his smile turned into a teasing one, "Not one who had hurt my friend down there escaped my wrath, you're the first one."

I blushed hard, glaring at him. "Anyway, only royals can touch the stone. Since he couldn't, he framed me. Letting my father believe I was planning it all along. He believed him, he was his loyal friend afterall. I was hurt, especially when he ordered my execution. So I jumped down from the balcony, the stone disappeared and I fell on the sea. I didn't know what happened next. All I know is that I survived and Virgo and Elisa found me. They helped me escape, keeping me informed of what was happening inside. The rest is history, you probably knew that already since you ordered Luces to keep tabs on me."

He whined, "I want to hear it all baby. I want it coming from that pretty mouth of yours."

I giggled, "Leonardo Calisto, the general, accepted my case from the ESDC. The reward was great, since I have the stone. Alliance for the kingdoms and a title for the hero. All those people I killed, they were either assassins sent to kill me or Leonardo's men. I've destroyed a few of their bases, turns out that he's been planning everything even before I was born."

"Then?"

"One king tried. We fought each other in the war zone but something happened. Turns out that the stones can communicate with each other. Since his stone was in his soul too my stone reached out to him, letting him know I'm not a threat. The stone provided him answers and from then on we became friends and allies." I heard him grumble something and jealousy was clearly written all over his face. I smiled in amusement, "Were friends as in 'you don't mess with and I'll leave you be' and allies like 'hands off my territory and I won't kill you' type. Seriously, that man doesn't even know how to smile."

My reassurance left him pouting, "You don't like him, right? Not in a friendly way?" He asked and I nodded. "Good."

I chuckled, "Anyway, Leo must've found out that Elisa's been helping me all along. Virgo informed me she never reached home the day she was supposed to after we met. That's when everything started, you know the rest."

He gave me a full-blown smile, then he stood up pulling me along with him. "Go change, quick. We're going somewhere."

I eyed him suspiciously, "Where?"

"That's for you to find out." He winked playfully. I scowled, Yup, he's definitely mental.

"Are you sure you're not trying to kill me? Because I really feel like you do right now." I mumbled, glancing around the dimly lit living room of a small cottage a few miles away from the castle. Almost everything was made of hard wood, earthen pots and potion vials were everywhere and enchanted artifacts littered every racks and display cabinets. The air smelled of faint magic and raw power and the firestone, once asleep, was revved anew with the remnants of magic sashaying seductively in the air. It demands power, and fed with greed until what remained were barely noticeable particles. The energy pulses under my fingertips, waiting...wanting to be used. I'm used to it since this happens everytime I encounter stray witches, a few were working with Leo to create wards and protection spells for them to use. The payment must be that high for them to remain his ally.

"If I really wanted to I would've done that the day we met." He whispered, wrapping an arm around my waist. I pouted, knowing he's right.

"Draconia..." I jumped in fright when a soft feminine voice spoke beside me. My wide eyes turned to find the source and landed on a small and petite woman. Just like me, however we're different in other aspects. Her skin was a little tan while I was pale; her eyes were silvery white while mine were bright red; her lips were red and full while mine were pink and thin; her face round while mine was more defined with sharp edges; her straight hair a smooth and velvety black while mine was fiery red with soft curls reaching my backside. She's gorgeous, and I felt a slight pang of envy. She looks around my age but the aura of power around her says otherwise. With age comes power, and she's the perfect example. I bet Tristan's pet dog that she's older than my great grandmother and that's saying something since basically my great grandmother is more than 5 centuries old. Her silver-white eyes studied me for a moment ignoring Alessio's curious gaze before her lips stretched into a small smile. "Never thought they can be females."

I rolled my eyes, the earlier fright already gone. "It's Fyrrah by the way."

"Artemis Wiccan," she introduced herself then turned to the man beside me, "My king." She nodded lightly.

"Artemis," he smiled a little and my teeth unconsciously gritted. Jealousy hit me full force but I brushed it off, realizing I have no right. I'm certainly the one intruding since I just came in the picture of their century-old relationship.

"Is there anything I can do for you two? I would gladly help." She beamed at me which made my jealousy simmer down a bit. Gosh... get a grip, Fyrrah!

"I need you to do something for me, well, for Fyrrah here."

I blinked twice, confused as a child before the temper I've been keeping in check for the past few days snapped. "There's nothing wrong with me, Alessio." I hissed lowly.

"I know, little elf. She's just going to-"

I cut him off, "I said no!" I yelled in fury.

"Fyrrah-"

I snapped, completely enraged. "I told you everything because I thought you'd understand. You clearly don't!"

He sighed deeply, "Artemis, give us a moment please." He ordered at the silently observing witch who nodded hastily and left the room then he turned to me, "Little elf, listen to me." He cooed gently.

I huffed, annoyed that he's taking my outburst like a child's tantrum. He cupped my face gently, craning my neck to be able to look at him in the eyes.

"I'm doing this to help you, Fyrrah." He started.

"You know damn well I don't need help."

"From others yes, but you need mine, trust me. This is the first step of me helping you."

I pursed my lips, willing myself to calm down and to think rationally. "And what would that step be?"

"Taming down your jealousy, of course." He grinned sheepishly.

Speechless, I stared at him with my mouth agape. "You... you... BASTARD!" I growled angrily, smacking him on his forehead. The sound echoed throughout the room but I doubt that hurt him because he kept laughing his arse out while I'm still glaring at him with my arms crossed.

"Oh baby..." He wiped the wetness forming on the corner of his eyes from laughing so hard that even the dead would probably wake up from the grave. "I can assure you that my parentage is not questionable but in attitude, that I am." That earned him another smack on the head. "Ow, baby!" He whined.

"That's it! I'm leaving." I grumbled lowly.

He finally sobered up, "Wait, where are you going??" He panicked.

"Away from you, butt-faced."

He smirked, "Well, if it's your butt I'm sure it's sexy."

"No. It's Anthony's butt."

He gasped, horrified. "No..." He mumbled, shaking his head. "That's full of birthmarks!"

This time, it's me who laughed...hard. The look on his face, what happened to him must've been a nightmare. I have to ask Anthony later about this. He grinned widely when he saw me laughing at last.

"See? I'm the best." He puffed out his chest.

I giggled, "Yeah..." I dragged, "Even with secrets? I'm sure Anthony would love to hear the birthmark part."

Realization dawned on him as his eyes slowly widened... Then he turned to me, "Can I bribe you?" He asked innocently.

"Hmm... let me think about it." I pretended to think, "No."

"Not even with chocolates?" He asked hopeful again.

"No."

"A kiss? Lot's of kisses?" He winked playfully at me.

"Then it's decided." I smiled innocently but laughing internally. His eyes widened, alive with excitement and joy. I almost felt bad... almost. "Chocolates it is." I nodded dismissively as his countenance fell.

"You agreed with kisses." He pouted.

I grinned, "Yeah. I believe humans call it Hershey's Kisses. Are you thinking of something else?" I teased and he immediately reddened making me laugh.

"Ehem," we both looked at the doorway only to see an amused Artemis. "Are you done with your moment?" She asked.

Alessio cleared his throat and stood straight, professionally. "I would like to ask a favor from you." He said.

Artemis examined his face for a while before nodding, "What is it?"

"Find out why Fyrrah can't access her element."

My heart skipped a beat, Husband material.
