Werewolf Kingdom
Blood Moon Forest
Western Borders
Fyrrah's POV
I looked behind me to see them so engrossed in searching everywhere. Ocassionally they would comment on what they have seen and continue again. I took that chance to climb above the tree, scanning the dried mud in shape of a footwear. The footprints continued to the next tree, and the next, and the next, and so on. They escaped by hopping from one tree to another. I pursed my lips, weighing whether to follow the tracks or stay because I know that once I disappeared Alessio would think I'm trying to run away. I don't know why but the mere thought of it made my heart clench with guilt. Maybe because he's been good to me all along and I can't afford to have another kingdom running after me. Yeah, that's all. The easy way is to tell them what I have seen. I debated with my self whether to tell them or not and of course... I won, it's me either which.
"Alessio!" I called, waving my hands frantically. He looked up, alert and eyes wide with worry when he saw me perched above the tree. I almost felt bad for a second... keyword, almost. He was immediately under the tree I was in and he extended his arms in apprehension, silently asking me to jump down to safety. His arms, in other words.
"Little elf, what the hell are you doing up there?! Come down, please."
I rolled my eyes, "I found tracks." As soon as I said that the two wolves appeared beside him with huge eyes.
"YOU WHAT?!"
"Shh!" I glared at them. "I found these footprints here. It seems like they used the tree so they wouldn't leave any tracks behind. Pretty reasonable, I think. I mean, normally wolves would look for tracks and lingering scents on the ground. The one you're dealing with right now isn't just an ordinary plotter. This is a war strategist." I grinned from ear to ear. Finally! I thought, Some exciting action.
Anthony looked creeped out, staring at me. "And you're happy because?"
I scoffed, "Imagine yourself being deprived of the bone-thrilling action for two days when you're a sworn cutthroat. Sounds good?" I asked wryly.
"You're an... assassin??" Tristan blurted out.
The silence that followed after that gave them the answers that they needed. A mixture of shock, betrayal and hurt filled the air making me clench my jaws. I'm used to it, hurting other people and being hurt at the same time.
"Why?" It was a mere whisper, but the intensity weighs heavily on my shoulder.
"Why won't I, Alessio?" I asked rhetorically, "In my world it's either kill or be killed. I can't die yet, or let's say the circumstances won't let me." I grinned sheepishly. Understanding dawned at him as he smiled gently.
"You'll tell us why someday, right?" Anthony asked skeptically.
I shrugged, maybe. Who knows? I might be gone before that happens. "Alright, we got some rogues to chase. Move it, people!" Tristan enthusiastically piped in as he climbed up the tree I was in. I started moving easily from one tree to another following the tracks. I'm quite enjoying swinging from one tree to another but I can't say the same for the three who were struggling to keep up with me.
"What are you? A monkey?" Anthony said exhausted.
"I practically live in the trees, if that's what you call monkey then I am. Now shush, will you?" I answered irritated. Him and Tristan doesn't seem to know the word 'silence'.
"You live in the trees?? As in above?" The other moron asked.
I muttered a 'yep' and soon we ended up near a cliff and we noticed a small bonfire of elves and rogues singing merrily below. The cliff was not that high, you can easily climb down. I clenched my fist, seeing them having the best time of their lives while I was drowning in misery and trying to survive, my sister gone and probably scared shit not knowing what to do and the families of the wolves they have killed grieving.
"I already called reinforcements." Tristan whispered. They won't probably hear us, we're drowned out by their drums and laughters.
"The elves are mine." I growled lowly, pulling an arrow and fixing my bow, ready to pull the string and let go. This must've shocked them, the hatred and menace pouring out of me. Who would kill their own kind? Me. Because they are not my responsibility, the only responsibility I have to them is getting rid of them.
"Little elf, step aside. Let me do it for you." Alessio kissed my temples.
"It's too late for that now, Alessio." I shook my head. I noticed the shadows creeping in, trying to be silent. I smiled at the thought that his men is ready at all times.
"They're here." Anthony smiled. "What's the plan, my king?"
"Kill on sight. Leave one wolf for me." He ordered, then he looked at me for any reaction.
"Secure one elf for me, please. Pick an old one, they know more things than the new ones." I looked back at Alessio and he nodded, repeating my orders to the wolves. I warned them of their fireballs, that thing's deadly. As I glanced at Alessio and the other wolves I felt a tug in my heart. I might lose one of them... and I can't let that happen. "I... I have a plan."
They all look expectantly at me, "Fyrrah..." Alessio warned.
"You can't meet them headlong, Alessio. Their fires are deadly. You have to attack from behind." I reasoned with determination. "They will all turn their attention to me once I showed up in front of them." I can hear their low growls of disapproval and my heart warmed. "I don't get burn, okay? I'm safe." I assured.
"NO." The Alpha King rejected the idea which made me smile.
"There's no time left to argue over it, Alpha. Once they're all looking at me you are going to attack. They won't expect me to drag an army over here."
"The Lu-Fyrrah's right, my king. You trust her, right?" Anthony reasoned. Alessio grumbled incoherent words but nodded anyway.
I slowly crept down like a lizard and once I'm down I ran as inhumanly as possible in front of the bonfire. I managed to grab one elf and pointed a knife at his throat while holding him in a headlock, my arms like a viper around his neck. The fear and shock on their faces brought me joy. Yes, fear me. Everyone stopped, poised in a defensive stance.
I grinned from ear to ear, "What? No welcome? And here I thought once I showed up you'll all be glad since you've been looking for me for decades." I exclaimed in a happy tone, hiding the menace and hate I felt towards them. I'm not a good girl...anymore. They will learn it the hard way.
"What do you want?" The ring leader asked. I know that he's a trusted man of Leo, I have seen him once while spying.
"I really should be asking you that, shouldn't I? Where the fuck is Elisa, Kalen Davis?" I said monotone. He tried very hard to hide his surprise that I know who he is. He smirked evily, looking me up and down.
"Let's say Leo's planning on having powerful royal babies. You would have been a fine specimen but we don't need a useless one. Now, put down your knife and surrender. You're outnumbered."
That pig! "Royal babies won't make him a king, Davis. I know something that will."
"Of course you do! You're damn hiding it all these years!" He hissed with venom, hands were formed into fists at his side.
The wolves growled lowly at me, shifting into their wolf. The elves poised to strike, summoning a fire. But before they could attack, I ripped the head of the elf I am holding amd Alessio's army emerged, seizing the stunned and stupefied elves and rogues from behind. It took them a while to recover and fire but we are now prepared. I joined the battle, lighting my arrows with flames and taking down elves who were so close to hurting one of my wolves. My wolves... that felt natural. The battle lasted an hour. With exhaustion taking a toll on both sides, it was easy to shoot down.the elves.
Kalen Davis. I narrowed my eyes when I noticed he was gone. Probably running away like a coward by now. When I'm sure the elves are finished, I stopped momentarily to find a certain dark-haired man, scanning the warrior-filled battle grounds. There he stood, the only wolf who haven't shifted tearing down his enemies using his bare hands. If I wasn't his ally right now I would've pissed my pants. He looked... murderous, ruthless and like everybit of a warrior king he is. His muscles flexing as he dismembered any fool who tried to attack him. When his stormy gray eyes met mine they widened and that's when I felt him... someone's behind me, someone unwanted. When I felt him striking I ducked, sending a kick down his shin and he lost his balance. Kalen grabbed my ankle, fire erupted on my pants as he smiled in victory. The smile soon vanished when I didn't react to the fire burning my now exposed leg.
"W-What?... How?..." His eyes widened further when a hand grabbed his throat, lifting him off the ground... Alessio. For the first time, I saw fear in Kalen's eyes. His breathing increased as the powerful aura struck him.
"You tried to hurt what's mine..." He snarled, fangs protruding from his gums. "I saw how you looked at her in the bonfire, you want what's mine?!" He must've put so much pressure just using one hand because Kalen's face started to turn blue. His mouth ajar, gasping for air.
I stepped in, softly caressing Alessio's tensed muscles and they relaxed immediately. He let go of Kalen and Tristan grabbed him, knocking him unconscious before carrying him over his shoulder like a sack of rice.
"I want him tied up in the basement for a while. After you make sure no one escaped I want all of you to head back to the castle. Anthony, you are in-charged here." His orders were firm, the command dripping with his every word.
The gamma nodded seriously. Everyone bowed their heads in submission as Alessio picked me up and he started climbing up the small cliff. When we reached the top he put me down gently, kissing the spot where my neck and shoulders meet.
"Are you okay?" I can't help but ask.
He smiled, "I should be the one asking you that, little elf."
"Well, I'm fine." I grinned back.
"Good." He muttered before bending over and began shifting. The process looked painful, his fangs and claws elongated and fur sprouted all over his body. His arms and legs looked slightly longer and he grew a few feet tall. His snout formed and his eyes turned dark, yet he remained standing. His shirt was shredded but he pants was still there, the fabric on the lower part was ripped due to bulging muscles and what remained was tight against his fur-covered thighs. When he was done, he howled in victory. The wolves who still haven't shifted back to human form howled after him. When he saw.me, his tail wagged excitedly while I refused to move because of shock. "Little elf..." he called in a husky and more animalistic voice, it should've scared me but the opposite happened when a shiver ran down my spine. His arms were wide open, waiting for me to come.
"Holy Shit!" I shook my head in disbelief, "You're a Lycan..." I stated with awe, wide-eyed as I walked towards his giant frame. He grunted in response and buried his snout on my hair, inhaling my scent once again. His fur was soft under my fingers as I ran my hand through them. Growls of approval was heards throughout the clearing coming from him making me giggle. "Let's go home big bad Alpha. I need a beauty sleep."
"But you're already beautiful." He licked my face and I squealed before laughing.
"Eww, Alessio! You're going to give me rabbies!" I squealed once again when he threw me over his shoulder and started running through the forest. His frame towered over twelve feet and muscles were present almost everywhere in his body. This should be written in history: I, Fyrrah Vulcan, witnessed a Lycan shift and survived! And he is a king for goodness' sake!
Lycans were myths, well that's what we thought. They were powerful and dominant alphas who were more animal than human. The only werewolf wo can shift in between human and wolf. And here I am, living with one.
Alessio started slowing down when we neared the castle walls. He carefully gathered me back in his arms bridal style before entering the gates. The guards bowed in respect, so I guess they knew. Being a Lycan must be kept a secret as far as possible. The news would trigger chaos in the werewolf kingdom if ever they discovered he is a Lycan. There will be a bunch of enemies who will try to kill him, afrain of the power he brings and the dominion he holds over them.
"Little elf..." He called, kissing my forehead to gain my attention.
"Hmm?" I hummed in content answering him at the same time, loving the feel of his arms wrapped around my tiny frame. I looked up to find him back in his human form, gazing down at me with open possessiveness and adoration. "What is it, Alpha?" I asked softly.
"Will you cuddle with me?" A tiny spark of hope flashed in his mesmerizing gray eyes. Eyes taking in all clues my face could offer him.
I raised an eyebrow at him while grinning, "And why not?"
To my surprise, The Alpha King Alessio Samael Romanov blushed. His face was red with embarrassment and his smile was that of a timid boy in grade school. Truly, I should be remembered in history.
