Sterling's POV
The warmth of someone by your side is the best thing you could ever have.April and I were in bed, watching One Day At A Time P.S Elena is so cool.
"Just between us, who would be Elena and Syd in our relationship." I asked, and she turns to look at me.
"Neither but I think you should be Elena so you can call me your Syd-nificant other." She replied softly, tugging me by the collar and pushes me back.
Damn right she is.
"I'm just glad that we're back together.3 days without feels like forever." I said, as our fingers dance with each other.
"And this just feels right.." She leans in, taking me by the tongue.It gradually become more intense as she 'top' me.I don't remember being a bottom the last time but sure.
A curtain of her hair covered my face but her lips stayed consistent nonetheless.She tugs on the hem of my shirt and I gulped, and politely pushed her hand down.She lets go and slowly travel her lips to my neck, trying to leave a mark.
"I thought.." I protested but she shushed me.She goes to my ear, not saying a word but her hot breath gave me chills.
"It wouldn't be fun at all." She whispered, biting my ear.
"Mmm.." She moaned as she leaves hickeys on my neck.Making sure that they were visible enough.
"Horny lovebirds.I need you to tune it down because I can hear you from here." Blair shouted within earshot.April and I lost the moment and starts to giggle.
"Sorry! You can get back to your boring assignments now." I shouted right back.The moment between us has surpassed and we continued watching for the whole afternoon.
Blair's POV
"Hey babe.How are things over at work?" I questioned and Eric smiles through the camera.
Things has been pretty busy for him lately,extra shifts and hours he has to put in.We face-time almost everyday and keeps each other updated.
He wasn't that rich boy that works at the country club but he's working hard with his work and college.I truly admire that.
"It's going great.A lot of weird requests lately but I'm guessing it's from Tiktok.How about you?"
"Nothing much.I've been working on my assignments but my neighbour next door is pretty distracting."
"Sterling and April? Cmon,they're really good together."
"You don't have to tell me twice.I wished you could come over but..." I paused and he chuckled,playing with his ruffled black hair.
"You're not ready for me to meet your parents yet.I get it,Blair.Your previous one really hit a nerve on you."
"I'm not ashamed or anything but I want to know if this is really serious."
"I'm as serious and committed as Sterling and her girlfriend.Trust me." I smiled and continued our small talks before he hit the hay.
I walked past Sterling's room,trying to get a late night snack.You can't blame a girl for it.
"Stop,Sterling!" April's voice filled the room and I find it disturbing.
It's her voice that makes me wanna punch her or anything resorting to violence and harsh words.
I knocked on the door and stepped in,finding April and Sterling playing pillow fights.
"I'm sorry to disturb but can I talk to Sterling for a moment?" They stopped and Sterling looks at April,looking for her approval.
"Yeah,sure." April replied,setting the pillows down.Sterling walks over,closing the door behind.
"Hey,what's wrong?" She asked and I
"I don't know how to put it but I don't feel comfortable with her around."
"April? What's wrong with April? Is she being mean to you? You can tell me you know."
"None of the sorts.It's just that..." I was trying to find the right words that doesn't hurt Sterling but also the bland truth.
"You just don't like me or the sight of me.I get it." April appears and I gulped.
"If you must know,then yes.I don't like having you around the house." I replied and Sterling looks a little hurt.
"I'm sorry,Blair but Sterling is my girlfriend.I ought to be hanging out with her and at one point we'll be seeing each other." April countered.
"Listen,I'm glad that you worked things out with Sterling and grand gesture and everything...but that doesn't mean I like you."
"You wanna have at it,Blair.All I know you could be Bryce Hall,just talking-" April snapped and I was about to tackle her when Sterling places one hand on each of us.
"Okay...that's a little harsh.Regardless,both of you need to accept that you're going to see each other a whole lot more than you intend." Sterling steps in and April and I were giving the 'look's.
If looks could kill,she'd be dead on the floor.
"Why don't you two go out and bond with each other? I think it helps to understand and listen to each other instead of bickering." Sterling suggested and I scoffed.
"I'm as supportive as I can be in your relationship.Spending one day with April is..."
"I swear to those blimey-" April cussed and Sterling shushed her with just one finger.
"Take it or leave it.I just want my girlfriend and sister to get along.At least do it for me." Sterling pleaded and she seemed serious about it.
"I'll comply because I don't want you to be upset,honey." April lets out and Sterling smiled.
She looks at me,awaiting my answer and I have no choice but to nod in agreement.
"This is going to be great.Blair and April hanging out."
"Please..don't mention it." I left them be and went back to my room.I lost my appetite for the night.
Next morning,
"Play nice with each other and I want both of you to get along by the end of the day.She's going to be here any minute." Sterling mentioned and I clicked my tongue.
"It's not like it's magic,Sterling.You see her as the love of your life.To me,she's always been the enemy I've known since fifth grade.Nothing changed except that she's screwing you."
"Language and we're not screwing around.It's serious and I know you two have hatred and conflicts,and here's the chance to uncover that."
Speak of the devil because an unpleasant sight just walked in.
"Hi truant.." She greeted Sterling with a kiss and I puked inside.Distasteful.
"Ready?" I interrupted and April pulls away reluctantly.
"You're both gonna hit if off.I also sent out mere suggestions of places you can visit."
Funny because the only thing I'll be hitting is her if she piss me off.
"Have fun, babe." April smiled and blows Sterling a kiss.
I started the engine and we let the car seat for a few minutes before we hit the road.
"Huh...usually people would rev the engine and start making their way." April pointed out.
"Most people didn't go to a private school elite."
I answered and she gives a side smile.
This could go somewhere....
First stop was the museum.
"Let's get this over with..." I catch the keys in the air as we entered the building.
Art allows artists to express their profound emotions into a canvas,admired by every single person who walked by it.I think art is beautiful.
I haven't stepped to a museum ever since fifth grade or at least before we met April.
I think Sterling would've loved it if she was in my position right now but I'm stuck here instead.
"What do you think about this one?" April pointed out and I came to her side,directly facing the painting.
"I don't know,April.What do you think?" I slouched my shoulders but paying attention to every detail.The strokes and shade of colour.
"I'm sure you have a say in these things." April encouraged,without taking a glance at me.
"You see the stroke at the end,it's lonely yet bold whilst the colour itself doesn't represent sadness but fear.Fear of being abandoned."
"I just thought it was underrated." April commented and I smiled slightly.
We strolled around with little or no talks and drove to our second destination,arcade.
I didn't understand arcades at first but I recalled the story she once told.
April was already walking towards the skeeball machine and I chuckled.Exact description of the story.
"What? What's so funny?" April called me out and I took the ball,rolling it up.
"Why did she choose this aracde?" I swiftly changed the subject and she hesitated.
"It was uh where we laid down the ground rules and ..."
"Making out in the laser tag game." I completed the sentence and April 'hide' her lips.She was taken aback but regained her composure.
"If you knew,why did you ask?"
"Just wanted to know if you'd lie."
"Blair,I'm trying to work things out because I really really love Sterling.She's the one."
"I've had many Adeles in my life but none of them compares to how I feel for Sterling." She added.
"I don't know... I didn't peg you for Adele.I though you'd be more of a Clairo."
"Then you certainly don't know me that well."
"Fine...bare minimum communication and a smile here or two.We'll see how it goes between us." I negotiated a deal and April nods.
I guess she is really serious.Maybe it's time I did something about my relationship.
For dinner,we got soft tacos downtown and walked around the area.
"I remember you getting kicked out of class because you pulled on Jessica's hair and couldn't recite the Bible."
"Well,I was always the wilder twin."
"If anything,I do understand why Sterling loves you.You're both dorks who think they can take on the world."
"Well,I guess..if you're in love,anything seems to be possible." April quoted.
Back at home,
"How'd it go?" Sterling opens the door,letting me in.
"Meh.Still don't like her.Didn't know she was a picky eater."
"Blair..." Sterling knows it was bullshit and voiced out.
"You know how it went." I pointed out,taking off my jacket.I sat on the side of the bed,so did Sterling.
"I wanna hear it from you."
"It was...great.Doesn't mean we're besties.I get why you like her.If it means anything,we bond over soft tacos."
"Aww..." Sterling lunged and gives me a hug,and I laugh nervously.
I guess this is a thing now.Blair and April.
