Chapter 47: Chapter 44

Emily || Larry StylinsonWords: 8271

Emily and Melissa sat in front of both their parents, wanting to announce something.

It had been three years to their beautiful marriage. They were living in a 4 bedroom apartment gifted by Melissa's parents to them on their wedding. As Emily's dream was, she was teaching a dance class in a studio above Melissa's shop. Their apartment was almost equidistant from Harry and Louis's and Melissa's parent's house. And just short walk to their building of work. Everything was going perfectly. Someday they would pop in at Larry's for breakfast and somedays at Melissa's. Someday they would have naked breakfasts and some nights, naked dinners. They had 2/2/2 rule for their marriage and it was working pretty well. According to it, every two weeks they went out on a dinner, every two months they went for a weekend away and every two years they would go for a week's vacation to keep the excitement and love alive between them and it seemed to be working. It always seemed like they were married only yesterday. They were a family but they wanted to make it bigger.

"Shall we start?" Asked Emily, lacing her hands with Melissa's, her ring shining in the sunlight that entered through the windows.

"Off course honey" said Delilah.

"Well" Melissa looked at Emily who nodded at her. "We think that we are old enough to be parents....."

"And that its time we make our family bigger and more happening" continued Emily.

"We have decided that we'll have two kids..."

"One will be adopted and one through Sperm donors" finished Emily.

"OH MY GOD THAT'S GREAT PUMPKIN!" Harry exclaimed, his eyes twinkling with excitement as he stood up along with the others.

"YES YES YES, OH MY GOD! Come here honey" Delilah embraced the two of them in a hug.

"Its a very wise decision" Gavin smiled at the two girls.

"Can't believe we're going to be grandparents" said Louis sitting back down as the realization sunk in.

"So tell us the details, like who's gonna conceive the child and when are you going to adopt etc. Etc" said Harry sitting back down.

"We both went through some tests" started Melissa. "And apparently I have endometriosis..... which can cause a miscarriage and the chances that the embryo will attach itself to the uterus is very less" Melissa said with a sad smile.

"Oh its okay honey, its fine. Endometriosis runs in our family" said Delilah. "That's why your aunt Millie never had children and that's why she called her dog her child"

"Oh" was the only reply Melissa gave.

"So because of that, we decided that I will get inseminated and get pregnant" said Emily.

"Oh amazing sweetie. We'll be right by your side even though we know nothing about pregnancy." Said Louis with a lot of spirit.

"Well I'm here for that. I pushed two children outta my vagina to help someone through this" chuckled Delilah.

"Erm" Emily looked at Melissa. "I already got inseminated"

"WHAT!?"

"WHEN?!"

"A week ago... we did it on our own because well we wanted to do something on our own and feel responsible." Said Melissa.

"We thought we'll tell you after the news about me being actually pregnant is confirmed and this morning the tests came positive" said Emily with a slight smile.

"OH MY GOD???" Harry jumped in happiness.

"I'M GOING TO BE A GRANDMOTHER AGAIN"

"MY DAUGHTER IS PREGNANT!"

Everyone was up in joy running to embrace Emily in a tight hug. It was the happiest moment of their lives it seemed. And the hormones caused Emily to cry in happiness.

"Aww honey why are you crying?"

"Hormones" they laughed at her.

"So we're going to the orphanage tomorrow to adopt. In nine months we'll be quiet acquainted with child and that child with us and the baby. So its lunch tomorrow, with our family" said Melissa.

"SO MANY GOOD NEWS IN ONE DAY. Consider us there"

Emily put a hand on her flat stomach where the child was growing and looked at Melissa with a smile as they stood outside the orphanage.

"We're going to complete our family today" said Melissa and Emily nodded.

They went inside and saw a bunch of kids playing around. They climbed the staircase, into the house which was bright and beautiful. The navigated through the corridors and entered an office.

"Ah, you two must be Emily and Melissa"

"Yes Charlotte" said Emily as she recognized the young lady that many years ago worked under Miss May and was quiet young then. "You took after Miss May?" Emily asked with a bright smile.

"What?"

"Its me! Emily! I was adopted from here. Remember?"

"Oh off course. Oh my God Emily! Such a circle of life. And yes after Miss May. She died a few years ago"

"Sad to hear that"

"So do have a gender or age in mind?" She asked.

"Not really.... are all the kids playing outside?" Melissa asked.

"Mostly boys are outside with a few girls playing with them. And the girls are inside in the living room. You can have a look if you want" Charlotte suggested.

"We will. We'd love to" Emily nodded.

They went to see the little girls playing, first. All ages were together hoarding over the toy box kept in the centre.

"You know I used to sit the room adjacent to it. It has a piano. I loved pressing random keys there" whispered Emily to Melissa.

"Let's see that room?" Melissa asked. Emily nodded amd they went in the room.

A little boy, about six, was sitting there trying to hit the notes right that sat in front of him. He let out a frustrated sigh before giving up.

Emily approached him and held his hands and guided it across the piano. The boy was taken aback. He looked at Emily and she nodded, urging him to go with the flow. He smiled and let her hands guide his.

"I've never been able to play like this" cheered the boy. "Thank you!"

"Your welcome"

"So, what's your name?" Melissa asked.

"Edward" he brown eyed boy replied.

"How old are you?"

"I'm four"

"Do you want parents?"

"Yes!" He exclaimed.

"How about two moms?" Asked Emily.

"Doesn't matter.... as long as I have parents" he shrugged.

"Would you like to come with us?" Asked Melissa bending down to his level.

"Really?"

"Really!"

"YES" he overjoyed.

"I'll get his papers" said Charlotte from behind them. "You know? You were also playing this piano when Harry and Louis came to adopt you"

"Really?" Emily asked. "I just remember it as the happiest day of my life"

"Its fate Emily. Circle of life. History repeats itself?" Charlotte said as they walked to her office. Edward had gone to pack his bag with his helper.

After getting the papers done, Edward held onto Melissa's hand and they went to the car.

"So Edward, I'm Emily Tomlinson, your mum and I'm pregnant so your sibling is on the way. YAY"

"YAY" he cheered from thr back seat.

"I'm Melissa Graham your mummy?"

"OKAY!"

"We're going for lunch to meet your grandparents. If you don't want that, we can also go home"

"No no, I wanna meet them" he chirped in. Emily was sitting in the passenger's seat and she closed her eyes.

She could remember the day she was adopted. She remembered the face of her parents. Parents who never made her feel as if she was adopted. Parents who could never be replaced. Parents who gave her more love than anyone ever had.

"Em? Let's go?" Asked Melissa. Emily nodded and got out. She grabbed Edward's hand who was now her son and entered the restaurant.

She immediately spotted Delilah, Gavin, Harry and Louis chatting on a table in the corner.

"Come on Edward. Let's meet your grandparents?" Melissa asked and be nodded with a smile.

They reached the table and everyone gushed on how cute Edward looked. Louis ruffled Edward's blonde hair and picked him up to bring him into his lap. Harry waved at him and introduced himself.

Emily told Harry and Louis how she met him and they went on to tell everyone the story of the day they adopted Emily. It was very beautiful and lucky day for both of the women and Harry and Louis who had just become grandparents and couldn't still digest that fact.

At the end of the day Emily and Melissa went home and showed Edward the room they had created for a child. It had a crib which would be moved to another room for when Emily delivers and a small bed which was enough was Edward for now. They would get him enrolled in a better school and get him toys and clothes to fill his room according to his choices. Edward was the happiest and luckiest boy in world according to him.
