Yellow Emperorâs Inner Canon!
Yang Zhen had just recited the entirety of the Plain Questions from the Yellow Emperorâs Inner Canon, giving him a somewhat ludicrous feeling.
During his university years, Yang Zhen had once skimmed through the Yellow Emperorâs Inner Canon just to show off to his classmates. He had only remembered the more mystifying sentences.
For example, he remembered phrases such as âThe universe divides, yin and yang settles, the reasons for their transformations are revealed, the symbols of life and death become apparent,â etc. He had only remembered these things, and hadnât even completely understood their meanings.
But just now, as he used the literary energy inside his body to examine Elder Fengâs body, the Plain Questions from the Yellow Emperorâs Inner Canon surprisingly emerged in his mind like a tumultuous wave.
Waves of horrifying literary energy surged in Yang Zhenâs Divine Consciousness Space, each character of the Yellow Emperorâs Inner Canon emanating the profound truths of the universe. Over and over again in his mind, they formed into a long dragon that flew and undulated up and down. Insights emerged one after another in Yang Zhenâs mind.
Yang Zhen was left dumbfounded as he felt the profound wave of knowledge from the Plain Questions invading his brain â the mysterious truths about the human body left him completely stupefied.
It wasnât until the Plain Questions of the Yellow Emperorâs Inner Canon disappeared in his mind that Yang Zhen finally came to his senses.
âYoung friend Yang? Young friend Yang?â
He heard Elder Fengâs voice filled with concern and curiosity, waking him from his second trance.
Yang Zhen let out a grunt and said, âNo worries, just focus on your mind. No matter what happens, donât use any strength. Remember, any strength. Even if youâre suffering to the point of death, donât use even the slightest physical strength. Otherwise, all previous efforts will be wasted and youâll become a cripple, or be forced to become a spirit cultivator.â
Upon hearing Yang Zhenâs words, Elder Feng was taken aback and asked in astonishment, âCould it be⦠Could it be that you really have a way to save my life?â
Yang Zhen didnât nod, but Elder Fengâs attitude still surprised him a bit.
Although Yang Zhen didnât explicitly say so, his attitude had already indicated that he had a potential method to try.
With Elder Fengâs years of experience, how could he not understand this?
And yet, Elder Fengâs tone only held a hint of surprise, without any trace of excitement.
However, having already gotten a complete grasp of Elder Fengâs body, to the point where he understood it better than Elder Feng himself, Yang Zhen could still sense Elder Fengâs deep-seated excitement.
Yang Zhen took a deep breath, neither nodding nor shaking his head, but motioning Elder Feng to be silent.
âDonât let your Spirit Soul leave your body, pay attention to the changes in your body. It might bring you unexpected benefits.â
After reminding him, Yang Zhen slowly placed his hands over Elder Fengâs heart.
A mystifying aura flowed into Yang Zhenâs hands. Yang Zhen couldnât afford to be negligent. If Elder Feng found out he was being used as a test subject, heâd probably jump up and choke Yang Zhen to death on the spot.
He couldnât help it â aside from the Yellow Emperorâs Inner Canon that sprung into his mind unexpectedly, and which Yang Zhen had never thoroughly studied, this was also the first time he had ever treated a patient.
Elder Fengâs body was already in a pitiful state. Yang Zhen, having finally spread his Stellar Talent all over Elder Fengâs body, didnât dare make a move. He started repairing Elder Fengâs body directly according to the content in the Yellow Emperorâs Inner Canon.
Pure yin cannot produce and pure yang cannot grow. Elder Fengâs body was in an awful state after being struck by lightning. His yang couldnât conquer the yin, the five viscera were at odds, his nine orifices were blocked, and his entire bodyâs meridians were clogged. How could anything grow in there?
Yang Zhen didnât know who the Feng Family sought for Elder Fengâs treatment, but the array of energies within Elder Fengâs body was in total chaos. It was so bad it almost made Yang Zhen swear on the spot.
Fortunately, Yang Zhen managed to find some yang energy from within this chaos. Despite it being just a single thread, it allowed for the completion of the interdependence of yin and yang.
Yang Zhen took a deep breath, regardless of whether it was the Yellow Emperorâs Inner Canon, all teachings couldnât separate from the five elements and the two vital energies, yin and yang. Yang Zhen decided to use Elder Fengâs body as a basis for experimenting with the interaction of yin and yang.
âItâs going to hurt a bit, but I guess itâs no big deal at this point. Given the state of your body, a bit more wonât make a difference.â
Yang Zhen murmured to himself, his hands suddenly drawing a semicircle on Elder Fengâs body, moving left and right, up and down, both clockwise and counterclockwise.
Hum!
A barely detectable vibration emerged within Elder Fengâs body. On Elder Feng, Yang Zhen had drawn a Taiji diagram.
After the yin and yang energies were ignited by Yang Zhen, they gradually formed a weak flow within Elder Fengâs body.
When the yin and yang energies completed a circle and connected together, Yang Zhen finally breathed a sigh of relief.
âDamn, the Yellow Emperorâs Inner Canon really has some good stuff. Such a freakish thing wouldâve been unimaginable before now; I couldnât even dare to think of it.â
After doing all of this, Yang Zhen closed his eyes. His spiritual energy gushed out unstoppably, yet coalesced without dispersing, enveloping Elder Feng within.
One after another, strange energies gradually formed out of nothingness, causing Elder Feng to tremble all over. His body slowly started to show some signs of vitality.
This vitality was as fragile as a spiderâs thread hanging in the air â it looked as if it could break at any moment.
Yang Zhen held his breath, watching Elder Feng with a tense expression on his face.
This was his first experiment, and he was afraid of accidentally breaking the thread of vitality hanging from Elder Fengâs life with careless words.
It worked!
Yang Zhen had almost leapt up from his seat in excitement when he saw the vitality sprout forth.
Half a day had passed unknowingly.
Outside of the small house, a bunch of people were worryingly waiting, especially the short, chubby Meng Tinghao. He was like an ant on a hot pan, pacing restlessly in place. He glared at Feng Jingtu and said, âKid, are you really your fatherâs son?â
Upon hearing Meng Tinghaoâs words, Feng Jingtu was startled and asked curiously, âI should be⦠Why would Elder think this?â
âFucking hell!â Meng Tinghao cursed, pointing at Feng Jingtu and said, âSix days have passed and thereâs still no movement inside. The outcome is probably already set in stone. Get out of my way, let me go in and have a look.â
Feng Jingtu said with a hesitant look on his face, âElder, how about we wait a little longer?â
âWait? Wait, wait, waitâ¦â Meng Tinghao glared, and chastised, âKid, youâre even more stubborn than that old fool Master Tie. Move out of the way.â
The old man in the purple robe sighed and tried to comfort him, âYeah, Old Man Meng isnât wrong, so many days have passed without any sound from inside, the outcome is likely to be bad. Letâs go in and have a look.â
Feng Jingtuâs face changed, and a hint of hesitation flashed across his face. After a while, he shook his head and said, âTwo elders, letâs keep waiting. Weâve waited for six days, we can surely wait for another six days.â
âYouâ¦â
Meng Tinghao widened his eyes and reprimanded, âYou little bastard, youâre even more stubborn than that old man. If Elder Feng, in his condition, could be cured that quickly by a kid, I⦠Iâll eat the bamboo growing in front of Elder Fengâs house!â
âIâll eat it raw!â
Meng Tinghao emphasized again, rolling his eyes.
