Glaring at his tall figure which was standing on the opposite side of the kitchen. Her hands laid flat on the island counter, slowly balling into fists as their yelling match went on.

"Hermosa, just let me finish, please. This could help us." Ghost said calmly, taking a deep breath.

"Oh go to hell!" She rolled her eyes "I can't believe you. Blake, do you not understand the harm you would be doing?"

Ghost clenched his jaw, wincing at her aggression. He despised when she called him Blake, which was fortunately rare. Scoffing at her words "Don't call me that."

"Sure, Blake." Kenji mocked in a goofy voice

"Peaches." He voiced, silencing her with his deathly tone "I'm not doing this with you right now, okay? I have to go."

"If you walk out of that door Blake, word to my mother, I'm never speaking to you ever again." She hissed angrily

He bit his lip, frowning at her "You don't understand. I'm doing what's best for both of us. We need fast money, Peach. A dumb ass regular job won't do that. With this money...I could buy you the world. I could-"

Kenji cut him off, eyebrows furrowing "I don't want the world! I don't fucking want it, all I want is you! Why don't you get that?" She screamed, banging on the countertop

Ghost sighed, running a hand down his heavily pierced face "You have me and I'm trying my hardest to keep it that way."

She shook her head tentatively, biting the inside of her cheek before speaking "That lifestyle or me."

His head drew back confusedly "What? Yo you deadass?" He spat, eyes hardening

"What you are doing isn't right. It doesn't matter how you twist it. I couldn't live with myself knowing you took from another human being to give to me. I don't want any parts of it." Kenji stated "As much as I love you... I just can't, I'm sorry. So make a choice Blake. That lifestyle or me."

Ghost's eyes searched her face for some indication of humor. He had to face the music, this wasn't a game.

Silently staring at one another. They both knew what he was gonna choose because in Blake's mind, he felt this was the only way she could be healthy and alive. And truth be told, it kinda was.

Ghost huffed, snatching the ski mask off the table and walking towards the front door, pausing when he heard her voice.

"Don't come back." Kenji whispered

Ghost twisted the golden knob, opening the door. He glanced at her one more time before walking out and slamming it shut, leaving a loud echo behind him.

H.E.R played in the background, smoke from the vanilla lavender incense filled her room. She moved around carefully, tidying up her already clean room. Kenji always was a neat freak.

Smiling, she turned around to see him staring at her. Like he was in some type of trance.

"What are you doing? Is something wrong?" She raised an eyebrow

"No, nothings wrong." He whispered, eyes looking her up and down "I'm trying to stay focused."

"Focused on what?"

"Yeah, really." He raised an eyebrow, noticing the effect he had on her and watching the way her hips moved when she strutted toward him

Once she was close enough, he gripped her arm, sending her flying into him while laughing loudly.

He hummed happily "I've never felt loved before but I believe you are my favorite form of it."

"Logically speaking, Siah that does not make sense, at all." Kenji chuckled

"Pretend it makes sense." He mumbled before leaning down and bringing their lips together

With them, kissing felt magical, extraordinary. Ghost would often describe her lips as a fresh start, something new. Sometimes, he even felt like he was floating.

She pulled back, digging her hands in his bright red hair. It was always dyed and no matter what color, it always looked good.

"I'm so glad you take out the piercings around your mouth whenever you're with me." She joked

"We've kissed plenty of times with them in. Peaches, you are so dramatic. They don't even hurt." Ghost responded, shrugging his shoulders

Kenji sucked her teeth, gazing at the mirror in the corner of her room "Damn I need my hair did."

"You should get the locs." He suggested, tilting his head at their reflection "I keep forgetting the name but they are so pretty. They have little knots in them."

"Butterfly locs?" She questioned

"Yeah those." Ghost agreed "A girl in my third period had them and I thought you'd look gorgeous with that hairstyle."

She nodded, silently agreeing with him. Sitting up in his lap, Kenji avoided eye contact, his eyes were so enticing and a bit frightening.

"Eyes, hermosa." He whispered "You know I hate that shit."

Giggling, Kenji didn't hesitate before pushing him down on the bed and kissing him repeatedly. Ghost's eyes twinkled, shaking his head playfully.

"Lo mejor que nunca supe que necesitaba."
