Chapter 147 Not Tempted at All?
Last night, after Samara had posted on Twitter, she had fallen asleep. She had known when she woke up the next day, there would be a battle on the Internet.
After sleeping through the whole night, Samara woke up today and felt much better.
There were two missed calls on her phone. One was from Mary, and the other was from Jimena.
There was also a pile of unread messages on Line. Samara tapped on them and found most of the messages were about the post.
At first, Mary sent text messages. After an hour, she probably saw the post and sent five voice messages.
Samara smiled helplessly. Last night, she had been angered by Chaim. She had a cold, and her reaction was a little slow. She hadnât thought it through before posting.
Kadin and Mary both knew about this matter. The last time they had gone to the Humphreyâs house, they had been polite. In a few days, Camille framed Samara. When Kadin knew about it, he was so angry that his face turned livid. He immediately asked the secretary to book him a flight to Houston.
Those voice messages told Samara they planned to come today, but in the last voice message, for some reason, Kadin said she should deal with it herself first.
After listening to the voice messages, Samara felt a little surprised.
It did not seem like her parentsâ style.
However, it was a good thing that Kadin and Mary would not come. A lot had happened these days. The Humphrey family was in a mess. If Kadin and Mary came now, Eric would not give any explanation.
After replying to Jimena, Samara went into the bathroom to wash up.
After sleeping for more than ten hours, Samara looked much better today.
She was just a little hungry.
Thinking of it, Samara picked up her phone and went out of the room. She met Gisselle.
âYou got up so early?â
Gisselle pursed her lips. âDo you think I wanted to? Mr. Garza kept calling me so early in the morning!â
Thinking about what had happened just now, Gisselle felt her teeth ache.
Gisselleâs phone rang nonâstop early in the morning. She wondered who the lunatic was. When she saw it was an unfamiliar number, she became even angrier. She picked up the phone and was about to curse. However, before she could say anything, she heard Roland ask her to open the door.
He bought breakfast and came over. He didnât want to wake Samara up.
When she heard the last sentence, Gisselle could no longer curse. She just felt her teeth ache.
Was Roland so good at it?
No wonder he could get so many girlsâ hearts.
âWhy did Roland call you?â Samara raised her eyebrows slightly.
âWhat do you think? He just brought you breakfast!â
As Gisselle spoke, she nudged Samaraâs shoulder and winked at her. âHe cooked for you and bought you breakfast. He is good at it. Are you really not tempted at all?â
Just as Gisselle finished speaking, Samara saw Roland standing at the dining table smiling at her.
âGood morning.â
Samara smiled and ignored Gisselleâs question. âMorning.â
Samara had been hungry since she woke up early in the morning. Since there was breakfast, Samara did not stand on ceremony. She walked over to the dining table and sat down. âThanky k you.â
