I lied. I lied to Charles. Oh god. Help me! I'm fucking sweating I have just arrived at Charles parent's house.
Today is the day right now I'm at the doorstep knocking. Charles mom Pascale answered " hello, good morning come in.
I stepped in the house " good morning, do mind if I can talk to you and Mr leclerc" I asked nervous as hell
" yeah, yeah hold on let me call him downstairs ". I nodded and went to the couch. I was wiping my hand when someone cleared their throat.
I looked up and it was Mr and Mrs leclerc . Someone save me I'm about to throw up. I got up to shake Hervé hand he declined sitting down.
" so what made you come here so early " he said looking at me. Here goes nothing it's now or never.
" uhh, I-I I came here to ask for your permission t-t-to m-m marry Charles " I said my hands shaking to scared to look up.
Then there was a laugh. Oh god, I knew it. I should've asked now I just look like an idiot.
" well Carlos you have my permission as long as you keep him save " Pascale said hugging me. I kinda relaxed now just his father.
" you have my permission take good care of my little boy and protect him like your life depends on it ". He said looking at me serious.
" I will don't worry his in save hands nothings gonna happen " i said true to my words
" and thank you you don't know how much this means to me " I said hugging both of my future in laws.
I left their house now I'm heading to the jewelry store to pick up the engagement ring.
I went through the back and got the ring I'm in the car this is my first time seeing the ring it.
Holy shit this is really happening in a couple hours we're gonna be engaged I thought.
Then I was interrupted by my phone ringing. I looked at the caller ID it's Charles.
I picked up " hey baby how are you doing " I asked smiling when I hear baby noises.
" I'm doing okay when are you coming home " he answered I looked at the time, oh shit.
" I'm on my way now I miss you and Mae. Do you want me to pick up anything from the store." I asked starting the car.
" No I'm good drive safe okay I love you " he said
" Yeah and I love you too " I said before hanging up the phone. I put everything back in its original place and drove home.
A couple minutes later I arrived and opened the door smelling chocolate chips cookies and pumpkin pie.
I went to the kitchen and see Mae in her baby rocker and Charles shirtless cooking lunch.
I go up behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist kissing his head.
" how Mae been treating you so far need help " I asked I know his been busy all day while am away.
" so far she's been a good girl here taste it " he said then took a piece of pie put it on a plate handing it to me.
" Mmm this is good " I said taking another bite. I took my fork and placed it in front of his mouth to open up and taste.
" oh, I forgot to inform you family's coming over soon " my eyes widened " what " I said while cleaning my plate.
" I'm gonna take Mae for a bath watch the pasta should be done in 15 minutes please don't burn. He said serious
" no no you go and take a relaxing bath and getting ready remember you been busy all day and you deserve to relax. I said
He looked at me when tears fell from his eyes he hugged me whispering " your the best " and kissed my cheek.
He's upstairs and now it's just me and Mae I put a timer and played with my daughter getting up a couple to stir the pasta.
The timer went off and I turned the stove off.
I was waiting patiently for Charles when I fell asleep with Mae on the couch.
