Ivy's POV
"...Congratulations, Harvard Business, Class of 2016" I smiled as I finally said. "We made it!"
All the graduating students got up whistling, screaming and cheering as they threw their caps in the air. Parents and families on their feet clapping and cheering for their various loved ones.
I smiled, feeling satisfied, as I walked off the stage heading towards the other graduating students .
"Oh My God Ivy. We made it" Maria - a girl from my department - said, pulling me into a group hug with her other friends
I giggled along with them
"Ivy" I heard someone call
"Sorry, excuse me" I said to the girls
I turned and ran to him with a huge smile on my face. He picked me up and twirled me, laughing before he placed me back on the floor
"We did it" I said grinning like a fool
"Told you they would love my speech" he said
My smile disappeared
"Your speech?" I asked with a raised brow "Shut up Luke. You didn't have a single thing to add in 'my' speech" I said
"Maybe, maybe not. But..."
"Ivy" he was interrupted by my mum who was behind him with everyone else
"Mum, Dad" I ran to them, hugging them, I hadn't seen them while I gave my speech and I thought the worst
"No hug for me" gramps said
"Gramps, Grams" I went to hug them
"We're so proud of you honey" Gramps said
"Thanks" I smiled
"Hello Mr. Thompson, Mrs. Thompson" Luke addressed my parents and my grandparents
"Luke" mum said hugging him "It's been a while. Seen you've taken good care of my daughter"
"It was all I could do" he said "Seeing how those boys couldn't keep it to themselves"
"Oh shut up" I said smiling as everyone laughed "Iva" I saw her standing between Thomas Jr. and Ian. I pulled her I to a tight hug
"Hello sister" she said hugging me back
"You look so grown up" I said after we pulled back
"I could say the same" she said smiling
"How's college?" I asked
"Its...there" she said
"Right" I said noticing her change in mood "How's Eric?" I whispered in her ears
She looked at me with wide eyes
"Shh" she said with her fore finger on her lips "Don't let dad hear, he's gonna follow me back to college if he finds out"
We giggled together at what dad was capable of doing when either of us were dating someone. I still remember when he thought I was dating Luke. He hired bodyguards to follow me every where I went and they made sure I never got as close as ten feet away from Luke. I had to seat him down and explain my relationship with Luke before he called his bodyguards off.
Tsk tsk tsk!
Good times.
"Ivy" I stiffened as I heard my name. Not cause I was being called but cause of the voice that called my name.
I looked at Iva who looked behind me then back at me before she smiled nodding her head confirming the worst.
Why was he here anyway?
It made my heart flutter with happiness that he's here for an important chapter of my life.
But why would he come?
He made it clear that I didn't matter to him.
"Ivy" I heard him call again
I turned round as slowly as I could. I finally saw him, in all his glory, well his outer glory. He's never looked more handsome in a suit. After ogling him for what felt like forever, I met his gaze and caught the hint of smirk on his soo kissable lips.
Oh cool it Ivy!
"Dave" I called back hoping I sounded firm and polite at the same time.
"We'll be at the parking lot munchkin" dad said
"Yea" Everyone said as they left me alone
Really guys?
When I need you most, why don't you just go ahead and abandon me, oh wait, you just did that.
This is weird, talking to myself.
"S'that Douche?" I heard Luke ask
"Oh thank God, you're still here" I looked at him as Dave approached me
"He is hot" Luke said
"What?!" I looked at him "You're suppose to be on my side" I scolded him
"If he looks like that, then I don't think I'm on your side" he said
"Oh My God! You sound gay" I said
He laughed
"At least it'll be cause of a pretty boy like him"
"Hi" Dave said when he finally reached me, us.
"Hey" I almost lost my breath
He seemed taller standing this close to me. I mean what the heck, he was 6'3, Luke was 6'1 and I was 5'8. Yea, I'm that short.
"You must be Dave" Luke said "Ivy's said so much about you" he offered his hand to Dave while I gave Luke a stern look
What the heck dude?!
"Bad things I guess" Dave shook Luke's hand "I've been nothing but mean to her" Dave looked at me with a look in his eyes I couldn't place
"Oh she's said a lot, but all very nice things" Luke said
What the heck Luke?!
I wanted so badly to scream at him as he smiled at both of us.
"I'm her best friend, Luke" he said
"Oh" Dave said "I'm her boyfriend"
Bam!
Slam!
Boom!
I looked at him with wide eyes
What?!
He smiled at me and his gaze dropped to my lips. It lingered making me lick them as they turned dry, then he looked back into my eyes.
What the heck is happening?
"I'll see you guys later" I barely heard Luke say before he disappeared.
My attention was still on my boyfriend.
My heart was pounding and I had more than just butterflies in my stomach as I felt his hand on my waist as it went to the small of my back.
I swallowed hard and licked my lips again. His gaze dropped to my lips then back as he pulled me oh so slowly into him. My palms rested on his chest without a second thought as I looked at him.
"Dave" I said, barely a whisper as he leaned into me. His lips almost touching mine.
My hands went up to his broad shoulders and behind his neck. I pulled his face down gently, closing the last distance as his lips grazed mine which made me release the breath I held.
His hand pulled me closer, if it was even possible. Then I felt his lips on mine as my eyes fluttered shut.
His feather light kisses were doing unimaginable things to me. It was frustrating me. I wanted it, I wanted more.
I dug my fingers into his hair and pulled him not so gently into me, deepening the knee buckling kiss. I heard him groan as I tugged on his back hair.
