SCOTT
Scott sat beside Allison, desperately trying to act interested in what her best friend Lydia was saying, but when you don't care about this seasons heels it's pretty difficult. He glanced around the cafeteria for something to entertain him, when he spotted Stiles enter, a boy with curly, dirty blond hair and a mischievous smile at his side. A smell hit him, an unfamiliar one he hadn't smelt in a long time and it had his wolf internally howling.
He kissed Allison on the cheek,
"Hey I'm gonna go sit with Stiles, see you after biology?" He said, Allison smiled and nodded. He walked over to the table he and Stiles usually shared and slumped down.
"Thank God. I thought if I had to listen to one more mention of heels I'd turn into one." He sighed. Stiles chuckled and nudged mystery boy.
"This is Scott, Scott this is Isaac." Isaac reached a hand over the table to fist bump Scott.
"What's up?" They regarded each other carefully for a few moments, Scott's dark eyes fixed on Isaac's pretty blue ones. That's when it hit Scott, the boy sitting in front of him was a werewolf.
"How come I've never seen you around before?" He asked.
Isaac shot Stiles a look then turned back to Scott.
"I took a year out." He shrugged.
"Isaac's a pretty cool guy, he wears a lot of scarves but he's cool." Stiles added, Scott nodded thoughtfully. He didn't know what it was about Isaac but he made him want to wolf out and run through a forest at top speed.
"How come I've never seen you around before?" Isaac asked, Stiles rolled his eyes.
"I'm pretty new, I joined last month." Scott answered.
"Yeah you are pretty... New." Isaac murmured, had Scott heard that right?
"Well Isaac's probably gonna be hanging around with us now he's back, not a lot of people appreciate his uh personality. That's cool right Scott?" Stiles interrupted the strange tension that had formed.
"Yeah that's cool, the more the merrier right?" He smiled at Isaac who raised an eyebrow.
"Eh. I'm too possessive for threesomes."
"Isaac!" Stiles snapped, flushing a little. "Isaac's gay, not that the scarves didn't make that perfectly clear." He elaborated. Scott couldn't help but laugh, he liked how blunt Isaac was, he got straight to the point. Well, maybe not straight to the point but his brazen humour was entertaining.
"That's cool with me. Guess I'm the only non gay in the gang now." Isaac's head whipped round to face Stiles at this.
"Since when did you join the dark side?" He asked, evidently shocked.
"Since I met Scott's older brother." Stiles chuckled guiltily.
"An older man... Nice going Stiles." Isaac smirked.
"Can we not talk about my older brother?" Scott whined.
Isaac elbowed Stiles.
"Let's see a picture." He grinned and Stiles took out his phone.
"Since when do you have pictures of Derek?!" Scott cried, why was he so out of the loop when it came to... Well, everything. The pair ignored his protests and he could only sit and watch as Stiles and Isaac ogled his brother.
By the end of lunch, Scott had decided he liked Isaac, he was even glad that he'd be part of he and Stiles' duo from now on. He was still mildly confused as to why Isaac set his wolf off almost every time he got a whiff of his scent or saw anyone else touch him, but he simply put it down to it being unaccustomed to being around other wolves. Maybe it'd be nice to have someone other than Derek to talk to about wolf problems.
ISAAC
Standing next to Scott, intentionally of course, Isaac began to change for gym class. He allowed himself a few glances at semi-nude Scott, he had just the type of physique he liked, not too muscular, but gorgeously defined limbs. A voice brought him out of his stupor.
"Are you checking me out?" Scott chuckled almost awkwardly. Isaac raised an eyebrow.
"And if I was?" Scott simply shrugged.
"Nothing really. Guess I never thought I'd be attractive to gay guys."
"You realise I don't represent the entire gay population." He countered.
Scott laughed outright, his abdominals flexing.
"I feel like you just complimented me then insulted me."
"Do you need a tissue?" He asked and Scott punched him lightly in the arm.
"Your humour is a lot like my brother's, I think you'd get on." He grinned.
"Even if Stiles wasn't with him, you're more my type." Isaac replied boldly. Scott's tanned cheeks reddened a little, it was sweet.
"Are you flirting with me?"
"Do you want me to?" Isaac asked outright and enjoyed the hilariously flustered look on Scott's face. "Don't sweat it, I know you're with Allison. I'm just messing with you." He assured him. He could have sworn that for a split second, Scott looked almost disappointed, he scratched the back of his head, a small smile on his face.
"It's cool, I guess it was kinda flattering." He admitted, Isaac felt a warm sensation in his stomach at this. Scott hadn't totally rejected his advances, maybe he could turn him.
If Isaac wasn't a werewolf, playing a lacrosse game while admiring Scott's backside successfully might have been a little difficult. Luckily, he just about missed being hit by a few wayward balls, unfortunately not Scott's. By the end of the game, he'd realised two things; Lacrosse was fun and Scott Hale had a nice ass.
So nice in fact, he couldn't help but slap it on the way back to the changing rooms.
"Good game, Hale." He smirked and walked away from Scott, who was gobsmacked to say the least. Isaac also made sure he showered next to Scott, resisting the urge to offer to soap him down.
STILES
"Are you sure he won't mind?" Stiles asked for the third time as he drove he, Scott and Isaac to the Hale house.
"Sure he won't! He's probably not even there." Scott waved Stiles off and continued his heated thumb war with Isaac in the back.
Stiles knew perfectly well it was just an excuse to hold Scott's hand but he wasn't going to ruin things for the oblivious wolf.
Before he'd even stopped the Jeep in the clearing, Derek was outside the front door, charging for the vehicle. His eyes were blazing red as he yanked Isaac from the car and threw him to the ground.
"Derek!" Stiles yelled as he and Scott leapt out to stop him, not they could.
"Who is he? Why is he here?" Derek growled, he barely sounded human.
"This is Isaac from school!" Scott explained frantically. "I know he's a wolf but he's cool I promise!" Derek glared at his sibling.
"Oh he's cool? Do you realise what you just did? You just revealed where we live to a random wolf who may or may not have a pack that'll want us to submit to them." He snapped.
"Shit. Derek I didn't think, I'm sorry." Scott groaned.
"Of course you didn't, you never do!" Derek roared. There was a small cough from beneath him.
"As much as I enjoy being pinned down by an attractive man, this is getting a little uncomfortable." Isaac said. Stiles smacked a hand to his forehead in frustration.
Derek pulled him up effortlessly, but didn't let go of his neck.
"Who are you."
"Isaac Lahey."
"Do you have a pack?"
"No."
"Family? Parents?"
"No."
Silence followed their blunt conversation. Derek stared intensely at Isaac until the boy bared his neck to Derek. Stiles didn't know what exactly this meant, but Derek let him go.
"Everyone inside. Now." Derek barked and no one objected. As they stepped over the thresh hold, Derek grabbed Stiles by the wrist and kept him back as the other two went into the living room.
"Are you ok?" He asked, holding his forearms.
"I'm fine." Stiles smiled, breathless from the close proximity.
"What's the kid like?" He asked. Stiles was a little taken aback, Derek wanted his opinion?
"I've known him since the ninth grade and he's always been a little weird but overall, he's a nice guy." Derek nodded thoughtfully, then placed a fleeting kiss on Stiles' forehead and joined Scott and Isaac.
Stiles followed, taking his usual seat on the couch next to Derek while Scott and Isaac sat on armchairs.
"Isaac, I'm not gonna mess around here. What's your situation?" Derek enquired.
"My dad's dead, so's my brother. Got the bite about a year ago and I've been getting used to it alone." He explained.
"Your dad died?!" Stiles exclaimed. Isaac nodded in response. "Jesus." Stiles exhaled.
"So you have no pack?"
"I said that earlier didn't I?"
"I suggest you answer my questions politely if you want to leave this house with all your limbs attached." Derek replied calmly. It gave Stiles shivers hearing Derek make threats he knew were all too serious.
"Are you, Scott and your parents a pack?" Isaac asked. Scott shook his head.
"Our mom isn't a wolf, our father isn't in the picture." Derek answered. Quiet rolled around the room as they all soaked the information in.
"Then why don't we... Why don't we make a pack?" Scott suggested tentatively, and as expected, Derek snorted in disbelief.
"A pack of three?" Isaac repeated.
"Technically four." Derek corrected, Stiles felt his insides warm up.
"Does it really matter?" Scott reasoned. The four sat in silence for a few moments until Scott spoke up again. "It means we can all look out for each other and train to be better wolves."
Stiles glanced at Derek, he thought it was a good idea but judging from Derek's expression, he was still on the fence about it.
"You're an alpha Derek. We don't have to be experts to know that it's not healthy that you're not playing the role." Scott said, Stiles was surprised by how determined Scott sounded.
"I'll be honest." Derek started. "You've had worse ideas." Scott jumped up from his seat and fist pumped the air.
"He didn't even say anything?" Isaac said to Stiles, a questioning expression on his face.
"That's as much of a yes as you'll get from Derek." He sighed.
