Xue Lin shared her views. "I just realized that we love changing the things around us, but we donât want to be changed."
Ge Chen blinked. He wasnât sure why she said that. "Isnât that given? We love ourselves more than we love others." Thatâs the truth. Sometimes, we say that we love others, we want the best for others; but when we have the time to choose, we choose whatâs best for us. However, there are cases when some people choose whatâs best for others. People like that deserve respect.
Xue Lin explained her way of doing things. "But I donât mind learning something new and changing a bit though. Iâm sure I love myself more than anything else."
âSo, thatâs why she talked about people who donât want to be changed. She is truly remarkable.â Ge Chen felt that he made the right decision to choose her. âShe is very intriguing.â He looked at the blue sky covered with white clouds. "Doesnât it make you wise? Ge Chen closed his eyes and felt the soft breeze. He spoke in a low tone, "Iâm not blind. Someone like you who loves herself dearly canât possibly want to harm yourself. Thatâs why you are still on the right path despite seeing wealth and luxury. If you are not wise, who is?"

Upon hearing the phrase âlovely wifeâ, Xue Linâs heart skipped a beat. She jumped out of the wooden bench and pointed out a finger at him. "Iâm not lovely or anything! And donât try to flatter me to get close to me. When it comes to me, flattery wonât get you anywhere." She realized that her voice was unusually loud. She coughed nervously and said, "Anyway, Iâm going back to my room. I want to rest a bit before having dinner. See you later." Then, she turned around, and at a quick pace, she left. her ears felt warm.
Ge Chen kept looking at her till she was out of his vision. Afterward, his gaze turned serious and he calmly said, "I know you are there under the bushes. Come out."
Louis and Ming Yu came out with leaves all over their bodies. "Ah, you noticed!" Louis grinned awkwardly. He seemed normal but Ming Yu was ashamed to face his friend and boss.
Ge Chen scanned them top to bottom and then asked, "Where is the camera?"
Louis seemed he didnât understand what his friend meant. "What are you talking about?"
"I heard the shutterâs sound." Ge Chen looked at him in the eyes. His gaze was sharp as if saying "thereâs nothing you can hide from me."
