Chapter 17
"Sunshine"
Rochelle Quinn's POV:
"Move bitch, get out the way. Get out the way bitch, get out the way." I sang, taking a sip of my Redbull.
"Rocky, please stop. Pleas-"
I cut him off. "Oh no! The fight's out. I'ma 'bout to punch yo...lights out Get the fuck back, guard ya grill. There's somethin' wrong, we can't stay still. I've bee-"
"Rock, quit it." Keegan complained again, despite the fact I carried on singing. "Rocky, please not again."
" -It's not an illusion, we runnin the streets. So bye-bye to all you groupies and golddiggers. Is there a bumper on your ass? No....! I'm doin' a hundred on the highway. So if you do the speed limit, get the fuck outta my way. I'm-"
"Rocky, SHUT UP."
"STOP RUINING MY PARTY." I shouted back, throwing a can of Redbull at him. My outburst seemed to have gathered us a couple of stares.
"Rocky." He gritted his teeth. "We're not at a party. We are sat in the Food court of a Mall in the middle of nowhere."
"But I'm taking you to a party later so shush." I shushed him every time he tried to speak then.
"Rock, I've never been to a party. Why can't you just go with Kane or Kenzie?" He asked slowly, sounding extremely nervous.
"That's the exact reason why you need to go!" I argued, rolling my eyes at his complaints. "You can't be a sophomore without going to a party!"
He put his head in his hands, I knew he didn't want to argue. "Whose party is it?"
I shrugged, "Someone from my old school. He throws the best parties ever." I forgot to mention that the amount of alcohol that would be available could scar anybody for life. Or that his father was in charge of a drug cartel.
He didn't need to know.
"Fine. What am I going to wear?" He huffed, crossing his arms.
I smiled, placing a large bag onto the table. He opened the bag and looked at me weirdly.
"I'm not wearing that."
"Don't be boring." I scoffed, "It's formal but casual. I know it's not your style but still."
"What are you wearing then?" He raised his eyebrow in question.
"This." I grinned as I showed him the dark material, his eyes widened.
"No. Nope. Absolutely not."
"Why not?" I questioned, furrowing my eyebrows.
"It's too short."
"It is, and frankly I don't give a flying noodle."
"A flying noodle?" His eyebrows raised further.
I narrowed my eyes at him in frustration, "Shut up, you bread crumb."

"Hey, Keegs?" I called out, slipping the black dress onto my body.
"Yeah?"
"Do you remember my second day here? You made me cereal and I had an argument with Kenzie." I recalled, walking out of the boys bathroom to see him shoving his jacket on.
"How could I forget?" He sent me a cheeky smile, shrugging his shoulders.
"What did you say to him?" He looked at me in confusion. "To calm him down?"
Recognition dawned on the teenage features. "I told him that Dad wouldn't be happy with him for fighting with you."
His dad?
"Why'd it calm him down?" Now it was my turn to be confused.
Keegan bit his lip and bent forward, trying to tie his laces. "Kenzie doesn't get along with dad, like at all. They pretty much avoid each other."
"Oh....You ready?" I asked, straightening the beanie so it was positioned perfectly on head.
"Yeah." I followed him out to the car, taking his keys off him.
We drove for around 20 minutes before we parked outside of a massive house. The music was blasting and the lawn was covered in red paper cups and toilet paper.
"Have fun, Keegs. Don't drink anything that isn't out of a bottle or a can. Use protection. See you later." I smirked at his fearful expression and ran into the house, going straight to the dance floor.
I danced by myself at first, acting as if I was the only person in the room. A Justin Bieber song came on and everybody danced to the Spanish verse, singing to the music.
"Hey, baby." A guy slurred, handing me a bottle of Corona. I smiled to him and took the drink, quickly pouring it down my throat as I carried on dancing to the music.
He danced next to me, holding my hips closer to his as we moved to the beat of the music. I noticed Keegan sat in the corner, a blonde girl talking to him. He was laughing at something she said, and unsurprisingly he had a bottle of water in his hand.
Or vodka.
I couldn't tell.
His eyes caught mine as I danced recklessly with the male behind me, grinning as the blond haired boy stared daggers at him.
The unknown man passed me something else, a bottle of some sort. I necked it relentlessly, not hesitating as the burning liquor set my throat aflame. It didn't faze me. Another one was passed to me, and another. One after one, I necked them all until my vision was blurry.
"Wanna go somewhere else, baby?" My head swam with intoxication as he spoke flirtatiously down my ear. Just as I was about to speak, somebody hit him.
The punch was loud, strong. The attacker wasn't drunk because nobody could land a punch like that while intoxicated, I definitely knew I couldn't.
"Wha-" I trailed off as the mop of black hair picked me up, carrying me out of the room. I was too drunk to protest so I just let him carry me.
I was dumped on a bed not long later, a pair of hazel iris' gazing into mine.
Kenzie.
Is he stalking me?
"You're drunk."
"Well obviously not, Captain Obvious!" I rolled my eyes, my words slurring.
"Why, Rae?" He asked softly, taking a strand of my hair in his fingers and twirling it around. "Why have you drank so much?"
"I drink to forget." I whispered, a hopeless smile played on my lips. My eyes closed involuntarily as Kenzie continued playing with my hair.
"What do you want to forget, Rae?" I opened my eyes at the question and stared into his curious eyes. I snapped out of my daze and moved away from him, straightening out my dress.
"Leave me alone, Vampy. I was having a good time." I tried to sound annoyed and angry, but it came out desperate and disorientated.
I pushed him out of my way and went back downstairs, going straight to the dance floor and dancing to the music.
I could sense Kenzie's eyes on me as I moved around, swinging myself around until I was dizzy. But I didn't care.
A hand touched my waist, pulling me towards somebody. I turned around to see someone that I recognised from school, one of Malia's friends.
I grabbed their hand in mine, pulling them as close as I possibly could. Lacing strands of soft hair around my fingers, I pulled their lips to mine aggressively. But they kissed back eagerly, hands soon meeting my thighs and trying to pull them up.
Well who am I to argue?
I jumped up, wrapping my legs around their waist. I grinned against the sloppy lips, feeling two separate glares meet my back.
"Let's go upstairs, Sunshine." They broke the kiss but kept a strong grip on me, refusing to let me fall.
The last thing I saw before we went up the stairs were the piercing brown eyes staring right at me. A hint of sadness lingering in them.
