Chapter 13

" Piece by piece."

Rochelle Quinn's POV:

Ivan and Skylar stood down the hallway.

And judging by the stares, the same boys resembled the people who these idiots seemed to fear.

The Rossi's.

******

Holy shortbread and noodles.

"Ball-gag, Pet-killer, pleasure to meet your acquaintance." I greeted, this time welcoming the shock leaking off the people who surrounded us.

"You haven't changed one bit." The redhead chuckled, watching me carefully.

I smiled and ran up to him, letting him pick me up and spin me around until we both turned dizzy. He hugged me tightly against himself, as if I would slip away at any second.

"I missed you, Ivi." I admitted willingly, whispering it into his ear so nobody would hear.

"We missed you too, Rock."

"If you continue with this soppy shit then I'm going back to Juvie." A deep voice spoke. I released Ivan and stared at his younger brother.

We smiled at each other, yet it was more mischievous than happy.

"Still breaking animals necks?" I asked curiously, eyeing the knife wedged into his sock.

"Still breaking people's noses?" Skylar asked sarcastically, eyeing my scarred and cut up hands.

"I guess some things never change." I chuckled, pulling the midget into a hug. "I missed you, Sky."

"Missed you too, Rock." His voice was mumbled which made me laugh.

"Hold on a second?" Jackson's annoying, irritating, unwelcomed voice chimed in again. "You know each other?"

Ivan put his arm around my shoulder and sent daggered looks to the boy who interrupted our reunion. He ignored the question.

"I've been wanting to speak to you, Jacky. We left my baby brother here for a couple of months and suddenly you believe that you own the place? I think the fuck not." Ivan's voice was a lot colder than I remembered. And stronger.

Confidence radiated off him easily, a stark contrast to the broken shell of a boy that I remember.

"It was your fault, you couldn't have expected us to do nothing. You broke my nose, I broke your brother." Jackson shrugged, however his eyes betrayed him as they leaked of pure fear.

Sky growled at him and grabbed his pocket knife, holding it in the direction Jackson was stood. All of his friends and the surrounding crowd moved backwards fearfully, yet Jackson stood incredibly still as he swallowed all the shame I hoped to God he felt.

Luckily for him, I don't feel like witnessing a stabbing today.

"Put it away, Sky." I spoke carefully, not wanting to anger the boy any further. "It won't help."

"I want to rip his eyes out." Skylar's eyes darkened and his tone was etched with wrath.

If I didn't know him, I would've been scared of the expression he held so confidently on his face. Yet I knew that the boy just wanted revenge for his brother, but I also knew that Kade wouldn't want that under any circumstances.

"Sky, I need you to think about your brother. If you get sent to Juvie again, or excluded, then you won't be able to stop Jackson. The worst thing you can do is stay here." I guided cautiously, walking closer to him and holding my hand out for the knife. His eyes flickered as I mentioned Juvie and he looked at my hand hesitantly, but then placed the blade across my palm gently. I shoved it into my pocket.

"Everyone leave." Ivan demanded, cracking his fists for extra effect. As soon as he spoke, everyone scattered. Some walked, some ran, some sprinted. But they all left, leaving me with Ivan, Sky and Kade. Jackson and his friends remained down the hallway, watching us carefully.

The moment everyone left, Sky hugged Kade, wrapping his arms around his little brother.

"How've you been, man?"

"I've been a lot better since Rocky came." Kade admitted, releasing his brother before Ivan hugged him too.

"Alec's going to be dealing with Dean, and I think I'm going to have to talk to your other brothers so I can understand why the fuck they let you get hurt. I'll also have to deal with Kace alone. " Ivan commented, his nostrils flaring.

"I've already dealt with it." I informed them joyfully, glancing at Kade as his happy expression turned to guilt.

Sky looked intrigued and smirked knowingly at me. "How?"

Kade spoke before I got the chance to, "Broke Kenzie's jaw, trashed the twins room and then used a hammer to break Keegan's skateboard."

"I'm not surprised." Ivi grinned proudly at me. "What about you Rock? How much have we missed?"

"Excluded from 3 more schools, 5 foster families, and Juvie for a year." I smiled when Sky began laughing.

Ivan didn't laugh however, in fact he didn't seem amused at all. "Why was you in Juvie?"

I could tell that he already knew the answer by the look in his eyes. The question was more for confirmation than anything else.

I stopped smiling and glanced at Kade for a split second. "Bulldog."

Ivan's eyes darkened at the name and Kade glanced at me, puzzled.

"You went to Juvie for a year?!" A new voice chimed in loudly. I groaned inwardly. Fucking great. "What the hell did you do?!"

I turned around and saw each of the Jensen's stood behind me wide-mouthed. Kace looked like a smug bitch whereas Kenzie looked more relaxed than I'd ever seen him.

My jaw clenched when the brothers expressions, minus Kenzie's, turned fearful as they looked at the Rossi's.

"It was an accident." I muttered irritated, repeating the word that Jesse had used to describe Tommy's death.

"You're a criminal." Kace hissed, glaring at me. Unfortunately for him, Ivan and Sky heard him too.

I jumped in front of Ivan before he had the chance to attack him, sending him a quick look which told him not to fuck this up.

"Say anything about my sister ever again and I'll rip every single hair out of your head piece by piece" Ivan threatened, his nostrils flared dangerously as he stared at each of the brothers.

"Sister?" Kenzie spoke up, suddenly furrowing his eyebrows at the new information.

"Yeah." Sky put his tiny arms around me and smiled smugly at the brothers.

"I'm not surprised," Kace muttered again, his jaw locked as I caught his gaze.

People started to gather in the hallway again, slowly creeping closer to the scene unfolding.

"I want to know why you didn't stop all these motherfuckers from hurting my brother. And I want to know why you" His eyes narrowed at Kace. "..fucking made a pact against him. " Ivan interrogated, using his signature glare to silence any forms of argument.

"We couldn't." Kane spoke up, avoiding Kade's gaze. "We couldn't stop them because we'd get in trouble too."

Sky laughed darkly, "But Rocky managed to, how long has she been here for compared to you?"

"Well that's Rocky, she doesn't seem to care about the consequences of her actions." Keegan added, his tone was completely calm with a hint of amusement. I nodded, giving him the benefit of the doubt. He wasn't wrong.

"Maybe it's because I know what's wrong and right." I rolled my eyes, my fingers continued tingling as I looked at Kace's face.

"Doubt it."

"Excuse me? It wasn't me who let my brother get hurt. And FYI bitch, you didn't do a damn thing to stop it because it was your fault!" I looked straight at Kace and for the first time, he met my gaze.

"You grew up in Foster Care, you was excluded from 4 schools and you've been in Juvie. Compared to you, us and Dean are perfect." Kace commented viciously, glancing at Dean from across the room.

"But I'd never do that to my own blood." I spoke sincerely, watching the confident look on Kace's face shatter at my blunt words. "Maybe I've done shit that isn't the best but hurting your own family is a new level of messed up."

I stared at Jackson's smirk, my fist ached as I felt the undying urge to break his jaw in many, many places.

Luckily for me, someone else did it for me.

From the angle I was stood at, I couldn't see who hit him first. But suddenly, Jackson was sprawled across the floor with a body stood over him, hitting him, punching him, slapping him.

I could hear murmurs coming from them both but I couldn't hear the exact words.

Everybody let them continue. In fact, most of Jackson's friends moved backwards and allowed the man to hit their friend.

Eventually, the attacker stood up, wiping the blood from his fist onto his dark pants.

And then he turned to face us.

His eyes widened as he looked at me. Shock, disbelief, confusion.

"Rocky?"

I smiled.

Two men walked into the hallway, moving swiftly over to Jackson and dragging his unconscious body out of the room. However, Alec's gaze didn't falter as he kept it on me.

All my brothers were back.
