Chapter 11

" Rossi."

Rochelle Quinn's POV:

"Well played, with the skateboard." Keegan smiled at me, leaning against the door frame.

I raised my eyebrows at him, putting down the spray paint. "I have no idea what you're talking about."

"Sure you don't." Cinderella crossed his arms, humorously rolling his eyes at me. I took another bottle of spray paint and added the finishing touches on my masterpiece.

"Original." Keegan commented, admiring my work of art.

"Thought I should give you something to remember me by." I smiled smugly, blowing the teenager a kiss.

"I doubt we'd ever be able to forget you." Keegan laughed, "And anyway, Mom and Dad aren't getting rid of you."

"They will soon." I replied, trying to make him believe it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Keegan didn't reply for a second, just smiling innocently at me. "I really appreciate all you've done for Kade. No one has ever managed to do that before." He looked down disappointed.

"Jackson and Kace are pathetic for what they've done. He's just a kid." I commented, sorting out the spray paint on the shelves so they were in order of pigment.

"You honestly are fearless, Rocky."

"I've been told." I laugh, throwing a purple can at him. He caught it, sending me a confused gaze.

"Draw something." I challenged, crossing my arms like he'd done before.

"I can't draw." He argued in a joking manner, but still shaking the bottle.

"I didn't ask if you could." I said, raising my eyebrows as he began spraying something on the wall.

I stood back with my arms crossed, admiring his work. Behind his name, he made what resembled a sunset. My eyes skimmed over the entire room, taking in each of the brothers names and drawings. The most common thing drawn seemed to be a crown, yet I couldn't comprehend why they would possibly use a crown to represent their family.

It's my throne, bitches.

School was boring, which wasn't a surprise.

Until the rumours sparked.

I was walking down to my locker, with Kade and Keegan in tow. Keegan had spoken to Kade for the first time in school since the last time he tried to go against Jackson. And today, I made Kade stay in the car for the entire way, not caring about the whispers when the disowned brother stepped out of the car.

"Did you see their faces?" I laughed, impersonating one of the shocked faces that we'd seen that morning. Both the boys howled like hyenas, clutching their stomachs as they tried to catch their breaths.

"And remember that o-" Keegan's stopped talking as another round of whispers hit the hallway.

But unlike the whispers, we could hear everybody speaking as we walked down the hallway.

It was too loud not to hear.

"Oh my god, they're back." Someone quietly exclaimed, causing a chain reaction of whispering and gasps to emerge from the crowd.

"At least the loner will finally have friends." Another person whispered viciously, smirking at Kade and I. I narrowed my eyes at them and Keegan roughly pulled me back, stopping me from reacting to the annoying bitch.

But Keegans eyes widened at the words, before taking off into the opposite direction and leaving me alone. Kade followed him swiftly, avoiding all contact with anybody passing by him. My eyebrows furrowed at their reactions, confusion filling up my lungs like a toxic gas.

I looked around at everyone, trying to find somebody that I knew. Malia and Wyatt stood just a few metres away from me, their eyes following the Jensen's back down the corridor.

"Malia?" I called out, jogging up to the black haired girl stood on the stairs, away from all the flying rumours. I smiled at Wyatt before turning myself back towards Malia.

"What are they talking about and why did Kade and Keegan walk off?" I asked, my eyebrow furrowing, studying her fearful reaction and widened eyes. Wyatt bit his lip anxiously but didn't answer.

"They must be back." Her voice came out quiet, almost inaudible.

"What? Who?" I questioned further, becoming more puzzled at the fear obvious on her face and in her tone.

"The...The Rossi brothers." She swallowed, glancing around at everyone before moving closer to me. "There's three brothers, two of them come here. A senior and a sophomore. They're crazy, Rocky, absolutely crazy. The youngest must've got out of Juvie."

I gulped at her words, yet it was more triggered by curiosity then fear. "And what's that got to do with the Jensen's...?" The question drifted off as I began to ask myself the same question.

Her eyes gazed into mine softly, a dark match lighting in hers. "There's a reason why Kade was always on his own, a reason why even his own brothers didn't go near him. There's a reason why Jackson and Kace made that pact. Before the Rossi's left, no one harmed Kade, no matter what. They made sure of that. Everyone's scared because as soon as they left, people took it out on him. Hurting him, calling him, bullying him. They'll come for everyone this time, and Kade knows it, Keegan knows it, Kace and Jackson know it."

"How does that have anything to do with the brothers though? The Ross' or whatever you called them? " I inquired, my eyebrows furrowing further at the baffling information. Why would these people randomly protect the dark haired freshman?

"Because Kade isn't just a Jensen. He's a Rossi too." She mumbled, almost inaudibly.
