Liam's POV
It was now 5th period and I almost made it through the day. Almost. I was walking to lunch. I stopped at my locker and went a different way to get there. I turn a sharp corner and bump into someone. "Oh my bad." I quickly apologize. Until I recognized his scent.
Theo.
"Liam?" Theo whispers. He has bags under his eyes and messy hair. "Hey." I muttered. My heart broke at the sight. He looks so upset. "Anyway I should get to class." I told him and ran out of the school.
I sat on the curb outside of the school and immediately started crying. I can't take it. Being away from Theo is so painful. I heard someone walk outside.
Lydia sat on the curb next to me. "You didn't show up for lunch so I came out looking for you." She said. After that no words were exchanged. We both sat together in silence.
"He still loves you." Lydia spoke up after 3 minutes of silence. "No he doesn't, I hurt him too much." I shoved her answer away.
She turned to grab her backpack and pulled out a little box. "Happy one month anniversary from Theo. He got this while we were at the mall last week." She handed me the box.
I opened it up and saw a silver ring with the day we first started dating inscribed on the inside. I continue to cry at the thought.
"So whatever you thought. He never stopped loving you. He never will." She told me.
"Do you still love him?" I heard Lydia turn to ask.
"Can't imagine a day I won't."

After Lydia and I's heart to heart outside, I learned something. I need to at least attempt to be friends with Theo. It will make life for the pack less awkward. Also, not that I'm thinking about it or anything, but if there's even the slightest chance of us getting back together this is what we need.
Last period of the day is a gym. Every other day the juniors are with the seniors. Luckily Mason is in my class and Scott, Stiles and Theo are in the senior class.
Mason and I walk in the gym and see our friends. Scott and Stiles approach us. "Hey guys." Stiles greeted.
"Where's Theo?" I completely ignored everyone and went straight to that.
"Oh he went to go say hi to his friend Bella." Scott told me and the three of them went back to their conversation.
Flashback
I decide to be very annoying and walk over there. "Hi I'm Bella!" She chirped. I nod and point my direction towards my boyfriend. "Hey babe." I go to kiss him when he pushes me off and talks to Bella. "Sorry Bella, can we talk later?" Theo apologizes. "Sure thing. I'll see you 5th." She smiles and walks to class.
Bella. That's the girl from the day I was beaten up. I didn't know how close they were. He never mentioned her before. I look around the gym and spot Theo talking to a pretty brunette.
"Mason, we should probably get our laps done really quick." I remind him. He nods and excuses us from Scott and Stiles. We start jogging around until we bump into Theo and Bella.
I pull Mason towards them and he groans warning me it's a bad idea. "Hey Theo." Mason half smiles. "Hey Mason, how you doing?" Theo makes small talk, and pays little attention to me.
"Hey aren't you Theo's boyfriend?" Bella asks, wracking her brain. "Liam, right?" She points seeing if she got it right.
"Yeah I'm Liam." I nervously chuckle.
"Although it's ex boyfriend now." Theo mutters.
Bella reaches for Theo's hand. "Oh I'm so sorry." She apologetically looks at both of us. I shake my head, signaling that it's alright.
I go to walk away with Mason until I hear someone call our for me. "Liam!" Theo yells, "can we talk for a minute?" He asks. Sadness fills his eyes. I nod and we walk over to an empty corner.
"Listen. I know things have been rough and shaky between us, but for the sake of the pack. We should try to be friends." I'm glad Theo said that.
"I was thinking the same thing. No reason things should be awkward between us. Right?" I ask. Mason walks up behind us.
"Right. No awkwardness needed! Besides the fact that you guys are still in love with each other." Mason laughs.
My face goes red. Theo's eyes go wide, almost like he just discovered something for the first time. "Haha Mason lets get you out of here!" I nervously chuckle and drag Mason back to where Scott and Stiles were standing.
"Mason you don't know how to shut up do you?" I face palm my self. Mason starts laughing. "You guys cannot let Mason go off alone. He's running around talking about my feelings." I laugh.
"You're feelings are what exactly?" Scott asked me.
"He still loves him." Mason joins in.
Scott and Stiles look at me wide eyed. I roll my eyes and walk away. "Liam!" I heard a girls voice. I turn to see Bella smiling at me. "Why don't you and your friends join us for a game of volleyball?" Bella smiled.
"Bells it's alright just leave him alone." Theo tried to save me from this. "No Theo it's okay. Sure we'll play with you guys." I smile and bring Mason, Scott and Stiles over.
We split into teams and start to play. Stiles spikes it and it goes straight towards my face. I wasn't prepared and I get ready for impact. Theo jumps in front of me and hits it over the net. "Thanks." I breath out.
"Of course. I'll always protect you." Theo smiles. His smile turns cold once he realized what he said. I don't pay attention to it and go back to the game.
Will being his friend always be this hard? Or will it just lead back to something we're both craving. Only time will tell I guess.
