58 Itâs Not Like a Fall
âNo problem. The leftovers would be good.â Isabella licked her lips.
Joseph sneered. âYouâre really desperate for food.â
Joseph handed the plate to Isabella. Seeing her stretch out her head, Joseph suddenly raised her chin with his hand and teased, âBut isnât it only a pet that eats leftovers of the ownerâs food?â
âPet?â Isabella paused when she was about to take the plate and stared at Joseph with wide eyes.
Joseph smiled mischievously and rubbed Isabellaâs lips tenderly with his fingertips. âYes, pet, my kitten.â
Looking at Josephâs wicked expression, Isabella realized that it was his revenge for what she had done just now.
She kind of underestimated the manâs evil and vengeful nature...
Isabella thought for a moment and bit her lip, âJust give it to me.â
Joseph finally laughed, âTo get food, you really have no dignity and no self-respect. Isabella, havenât you asked me to trample you to death? I thought you were so determined.â
.....
Then he poured the steak on the plate into the trash can!
âYou!â
Isabella looked at the steak that slipped away from the plate in an instant, tears welling up in her eyes. She said angrily, âYou like to tease people, donât you?â
Joseph elegantly picked up the napkin, wiped his mouth and said expressionlessly, âOtherwise what fun would there be in life?â
Looking at Josephâs arrogant and ruthless appearance, Isabella almost flew into fury.
But what could she do or resist?
She wiped away her tears, clutched her ribs and lay back on the bed without saying a word. She wouldnât mind what her cruel fate would be.
âWell.â
A steaming steak was passed to Isabella with a fork. âThe steak just out of the pot belongs to you.â
Isabella opened her eyes and looked at Joseph, who was holding a fork in front of her.
Although he looked quite sincere, Isabella shook her head firmly. âMr. Joseph, timeâs up for you to have fun with me. An anxious rabbit will bite people. Please let go of me who is pitiful enough. My ribs hurt.â
Joseph smiled as he rolled the fork between his fingers, âI thought you would be more interesting. How can you be so boring?â
âI am just a boring person!â
He clearly hurt her feelings, but he still put on a look of disdain. What evil human nature!
She could no longer hold back her pain and unwillingness in his heart. She slapped away Josephâs hand and shouted, âIâm just a poor girl who endures lifeâs humiliation. How dare I have fun with Mr. Joseph who boasts privileges and powers? Go hire someone to follow your manipulation! Why torturing me? I deserve to be bullied by everyone, right?â
The steak rolled on the ground, leaving a trail of oil.
Josephâs gaze became more solemn, but it seemed he was not surprised by Isabellaâs reaction. âEnduring lifeâs humiliation and being bullied? Youâve already leaked your secret twice today when your emotions went out of control. You were bullied by someone when you went out. There was no fall or fight, right?â
Isabella gasped at his words. She clutched her ribs sadly and blustered, âWhat does this have to do with you? If you want to laugh at me, just do it. I donât mind anymore.â
Joseph frowned and threw away the fork as if he had lost interest. He then turned to the liquor cabinet and took out a small barrel with snakes and lizards inside soaked in wine.
He poured a cup, walked to the bedside and handed it to Isabella. He ordered, âDrink this.â
âI donât want it!â
Isabella saw what in the wine barrel with her own eyes. She shouted in horror, âJoseph, stop being a freak! How can you bully me when I am weak ... Oh! What are you doing?â
The spicy alcohol was poured into Isabellaâs throat as Joseph forced her mouth open with his lips and teeth.
Never would he have imagined that this man would be so domineering and unreasonable. He would directly use his mouth as a tool to force Isabella to drink the spirit.
She shouted, âNo! Help! Oh!â
Isabella struggled, but Joseph held her shoulders tightly. She was forced to drink more than a half cup. Joseph only stopped when he saw that she was in a stupor.
âDevils, all of you...â
Isabella rolled her eyes until they slowly closed...
Joseph sat up and panted heavily, looking at Isabellaâs reddened face.
After a long time, he let go of her, wiped the wine off her face with a napkin, and opened the door.
âMr. Joseph,â William, who was waiting at the door, immediately said respectfully, âis there anything I can do for you?â
âIsabella drank a little of Master Wilsonâs alcohol just now. Iâm guessing sheâll faint for a while.â As Joseph took off his wet shirt, he ordered, âThe maid shall give her some food in fifteen minutes.â
âYes.â
âThereâs no need for her to sit up. Feed her as she lies on the bed. Her right rib is injured. Donât touch her.â
âYes!â
Joseph walked up the stairs with an indifferent expression. Suddenly, something occurred to him. âWell, the Spanish chef who cooked the steak today...â
âDonât worry, Mr. Joseph. Iâve already arranged for his return. There will be no delay in serving the orders of those distinguished guests over there.â Housekeeper Wood said confidently.
âBook an air ticket for him to fly back.â Joseph went downstairs and said, âI need him to serve me here.â
âOkay, then how long should he ask for leave from the hotel over there?â
âIt depends. When I get tired, he can go back.â
âGot it!â
Joseph went downstairs and straight to the basement.
Doctor Morris was preparing the ointment in a lab-like room. When he saw Joseph arrive, he immediately said respectfully, âMr. Joseph, the salve will be ready soon! Wait a moment!â
âJust continue.â
Joseph waved his hand and sat down on the sofa. He casually played with a skull model on the table. âI just poured her some strong alcohol. She seems to have fainted.â
âYes, Master Wilsonâs precious alcohol is very suitable for Miss Isabella!â
Doctor Morris smiled and said, âBut that wine tastes a little strong with terrifying ingredients... Miss Isabella is really tough.â
Joseph twirled the model and said indifferently, âShe said that she was injured by a fall.â
âA fall?â Doctor Morris was stunned.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
âWhatâs the matter?â Joseph raised his head and looked at Doctor Morris, âDoesnât it look like a fall?â
âNot really.â Doctor Morris pursed his lips. âShe was obviously beaten.â
âYou mean she was beaten up?â Joseph narrowed his eyes.
âItâs hard to say. Who knows if she had a fight with others or simply got beaten, right?â
Doctor Morris rubbed his hands and said excitedly, âIâve made it! My newly developed salve can alleviate blood stasis and bruises. Iâve prepared the amount that guarantee to treat pimples on Miss Isabellaâs butt as well! Her skin will heal and once again be even!â
Joseph tilted his eyes and looked at Doctor Morris coldly, âHow do you know what her butt looks like?â
