423 He Loves Her
Isabella trembled violently. It was unknown whether it was because of Cedricâs ferocious face or her sadness. âI donât believe it. There must be some other reason. You are lying. They wonât have a child...â
Looking at Isabellaâs teary eyes, Cedric relented. He reached out to wipe her tears and then leaned against her ear, pressing his chest against hers.
While feeling her rumbling heart beating, which was caused by anger and panic, he said softly, âIf you donât believe me, go and verify it. I just told you the truth and gave you a chance to make a choice again... Isabella, I am willing to wait until the day you change your mind... Iâm into you, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, be it about my possessiveness, obsession, or a desire to win.â
Cedric whispered. He then released Isabella and took a step back.
Isabella stared at Cedric in a daze for a moment before suddenly realizing something. She hurriedly turned around and pounced on Joey, grabbing and biting him like a violent lioness. âLet go of Jane! Let go! Or Iâll do whatever I can to stop you!â
Cedricâs eyes darkened when he saw Isabella going crazy. He gestured to Joey, and Joey immediately let go of Jane before retreating to the side and covering his injured face.
When Isabella touched Jane, Jane wailed, âOh, no, Isabella! My hand is broken!â
âDonât be afraid, Jane. Iâll take you to the hospital now. Be a strong girl. It wonât hurt soon!â Isabella wiped her tears away.
As she spoke, she helped Jane up and quickly left...
.....
Cedric watched as Isabella supported Jane and staggered away. He stood beside the railings and faced the bustling Peace City. He then picked up another goblet and poured himself another glass of wine. He raised his head to drink it and repeated this action many times.
âMr. Cedric...â Peter whispered, âYou havenât eaten yet. The doctor said that drinking alone would damage your stomach...â
A sound came.
Cedric suddenly smashed the glass in his hand to the ground. He then turned around and swept away everything on the table. âWhy is he Joseph? Why is he my good friend?â
More sounds came.
Cedric picked up the chair next to him and fiercely smashed it into the food and glasses on the table, making sounds of shattering. The bodyguards looked at each other in horror when seeing Cedric lose control and become hostile. Peter thought for a moment and stepped forward. âMr. Cedric ... are you going to let Ms. Isabella leave like this?â
âIs there a better choice?â
Cedric stopped smashing things and laughed coldly, âShe had seen Joseph and Stella together, proving that Joseph had lied to her. Even though she was filled with tears of disappointment, she still refused to accept the truth. She said that she believed Joseph! She is so stubborn. What can I do? Can I tie her up and bring her back, using some violent methods to make her yield? I really like her! I donât want her to be afraid of me!â
Joey scratched his head and said in a silly manner, âMr. Cedric, in my opinion, although Isabella is indeed beautiful, she is not unique. Since many blisteringly beautiful celebrities are prettier than her and have a thing for you, why donât you turn to another girl?â
Peter also tried to persuade him, âMr. Cedric, itâs better for you to go on blind dates and have a colorful life like before. I think itâs not worth wasting so much energy on her.â
Cedric smiled softly and said bleakly, âPerhaps this is love... Before I met her, I didnât want to get married. But after meeting her, I only want to spend the rest of my life with her...â
...
When Gerry was downstairs, he heard Janeâs howling and fought with the bodyguards below. But they outnumbered him and he didnât win. Now when he saw Isabella holding Jane down, he immediately went forward and said nervously, âMs. Isabella, what happened?â
Isabella cried, âGerry, hurry to the hospital! Iâve harmed Jane! Hurry up!â
Gerry immediately stepped forward to help. âOK!â
âDamn it, Cedric is really the head of Peace Cityâs underworld. All of his men are strong.â
âI canât even withstand two moves from his man. Itâs a disgrace to my reputation.â Jane was sweating profusely as she forced herself to curse.
Then she gave Isabella a gentle hit and comforted her, âWhat are you crying for? Itâs just a broken arm. Iâm not dead.â
Isabella cried even louder. âItâs because of me, Jane...â
âDid you break your arm?â
Gerry was stunned. He quickly reached out and touched Janeâs shoulder. âDid you fight with Cedricâs men?â
Isabella immediately nodded. âItâs Joey! He looks especially stupid, but unexpectedly he is an expert at fighting! Jane was unprepared, so he broke both of her arms in an instant!â
Gerry was silent for a while. He carefully touched Janeâs shoulder again and said calmly, âItâs not broken. Sit down first.â
As he spoke, he helped Jane find a place to kneel and said seriously, âIt was only dislocated.â
âdislocated?â
âYes,â Gerry said calmly, âPeter and Joey are both fighting experts. Peter is good at using knives quickly, while Joey is best at a strange move. It is easy for him to remove oneâs joints and make unable to resist in an instant. I have seen him do this to a person, so it is dislocated.â
âCedric didnât let Peter make a move. So this can be considered as showing mercy to all of you.â He paused and his eyes narrowed.
Isabella was immediately hopeful. âThen wouldnât it be easier to treat dislocation?â
âYes.â
Gerry knelt beside Jane and measured her shoulder from an angle. âMiss Jane, please endure the pain for a while.â
Jane was stunned. âEndure? Why? What are you going to do? You are not a doctor! Ouch...â
As Jane howled, there were sounds of cracking, and Janeâs originally distorted arm returned to normal. Before the two girls could fully react, Gerry cured Janeâs other arm instantly.
Jane collapsed in Gerryâs arms, exhausted.
âItâs fine now. Apply some medicinal wine that can help you recover later. After that, youâll be fine after a few days,â said Gerry indifferently.
Isabella looked at Gerry in surprise. She even forgot to wipe her snot and said in surprise, âGerry, you are too amazing!â
Then she cried, âJane, youâre fine now!â
Gerry nodded and shook his head. âMiss Jane, everything is fine now. We shouldnât stay here any longer. We should...â
Isabellaâs face was full of a smile when she saw Gerryâs expression suddenly become frightened. She wanted to ask what was wrong, but she suddenly felt that something was wrong. She lowered her head to look...
Jane, who was already able to move freely, groped around between Gerryâs legs with one of her hand, as if she was unaware of that sensitive part. âIâm fine now, but why are my hands completely out of control now? Is there something wrong with my transmission nerves? Oh no, how am I going to live in the future...â
