Next day afternoon, Gayatri received a call from her family that her father is no more..She rushed outside the house without caring about her MIL's shouting ,booked a cab and reached her house..Her father who has treated her like a princess in lying motionless..Her mother was crying, banging her head with her hand.. when she  saw Gayatri she got up and dragged Gayatri outside saying, " why did you come now??, you didn't have time to meet your father when he came to your house, you didn't have time to come to the hospital to see him when he was alive.. Now what have you come for??He died because of you. You are responsible for his death ,if not for your affair with that guy, my husband would have been alive.. I should have killed you the day you were born", Gayatri's mom roared and cried. Tears  rolled down her cheeks when she heard her mother.. She didn't know her father had come to meet her at all.. "Yes, I am responsible for my father's death, the father who always fulfilled her every wish and treated like an apple of his eye.. what has she given to him?? death.."She was heartbroken.. Her mother didn't allow her to go near her father..She came out of the house and stood outside of the gate... thinking about the events that have happened to her in the past few days..yes her wedding with Rahul turned her world upside down.. she blamed herself for her father's death..******On the other hand, Sanjay picked Anika from her college and took her to a nearby restaurant.. Anika observed Sanjay's gloomy face and asked ," Is everything alright??""Anu ,did you go to Rahul's house these days"" Hmm, yes.. Gayatri had a miscarriage and I had to take care of her"" Why are you asking this?? and how do you know about this??"Rahul's mom met my mom yesterday and she said " You have threatened her with a police complaint.. ""Yeah I did " , but there was  a reason"Before she could explain herself he said, " Whatever might be the reason Anu, you would have not spoke to her like that, this has given my mom a bad Impression on you""What did your mom say??", she asked directly.." Nothing Anu, I just want you to stay away from other's business""Other's business, she is my friend Sanjay.. she had suffered alot in Rahul's absence because of which she had miscarriage.. and you ask me to stay away from it..I am sorry , I can't let my friend suffer. ""Anu, you are not understanding my point. Rahul's mom didn't like Gayatri from the beginning and it will take some time for her  to adjust with her.  if the things were serious ,Rahul would have interfered..  it's their family issue why do you want to interfere in it and want to destroy  your image.."" Sanjay, things are not as simple as you think.  If it would have been some trivial issue I would have not interfered.. "She was trying to explain things to Sanjay and her phone rang.. it was from Gayatri's cousin.."Why is she calling at this time??", Anika felt strange and she accepted the call.." Anika, come quickly to Gayatri's house, uncle expired and I have informed Gayatri as well.  she might be on her way."..Anika immediately got up from her place and said," Sanjay , Gayatri's father expired.. We should go there immediately.. I am worried about Gayatri".."Ok ok, let's go.. "They were a little far away from Gayatri's house so it will take a long time for them to reach there..Anika analysed and said, " Gayatri will reach before us.  Sanjay, increase the speed.. "She kept calling Gayatri but she didn't pick up.. She was more worried about her now.. She kept on calling and finally when they were near Gayatri's house , Gayatri picked up the call and said," Anika, everything is finished, My baby left me, Rahul cheated me and now dad left me". I am of no use to anyone Anika.."Anika's heart fell when she heard her, don't say that Gayatri and before she could complete her sentence, she heard a loud thud. ." Gayatri", She shouted at the top of her lungs. *******Gayatri came out of the house after her mom dragged her away.. She stood outside the gate like a dead soul.. Tears  were flowing down from her  cheeks  continuously and she felt rejected by the whole world.. Her baby, Her love, her father, every one left her..She started walking on the road aimlessly with all the thoughts running in her mind..Her phone was continuously ringing.. She was crossing the road absent minded and When she  saw Anika's name on her mobile she spoke to her and before she could finish the sentence, a car from the opposite direction hit her and she fell on the ground with a loud thud..Anika and Sanjay reached the accident spot quickly and  screamed seeing Gayatri in a pool of blood..They immediately shifted her to the nearby hospital and the doctor's said ,"there is injury in the head and they need to operate her and took her to the operation theatre..Anika was fuming with anger outside the theatre and was walking to and fro..Sanjay immediately called Rahul and told him about Gayatri's accident and said ,he will arrange his private plane for him so that he can fly immediately..Rahul called his house and told his mom about the accident and asked her to visit the hospital..His mother wanted to maintain a good image in front of his son so she agreed..Anika fumed with anger when she saw Rahul's mother.  She walked towards her and said, " pray God for her well being, if something happens to her ,I swear I will  ruin your entire family".."What are you talking about Anika?? How could you blame me ?? How am I or my family responsible  for Gayatri's accident..You are saying this as if I am the  one who caused this accident??", Rahul's mom played the pity card in front of Sanjay.." Yeah, directly you are not responsible, but indirectly yes.. ", Anika said in a tone filled with anger.." Anika , are you mad?? why are you talking to aunty in this way?? ", Sanjay interfered. " You know nothing Sanjay, so just stay away from it"" No, I can't.. I can't see my best friend's mom getting humiliated in front of me"" Exactly ,I can't see my best friend suffer because of your best friend's family".."Anika , don't behave like a kid, you can't talk to aunty like this.. if she is not worried about Gayatri, why will she come here??" if she is really worried about Gayatri, she would have accompanied her to her dad's funeral""I didn't even know that Gayatri's father expired till I received the call from Rahul.. She didn't tell  me anything before leaving", Rahul's mom defended. " Enough Anika, you don't like Aunty that doesn't mean you can talk to her like this.. atleast give respect to her age"" Respect is given only to the people who deserve it and to me it has nothing to do with age", Anika said glaring at Rahul's mom.." Rahul's mom started crying hearing Anika's words""I should blame my son for getting married to a girl who has a friend like you.. this is all my fate", she started drama.."Mam, this is a hospital, please maintain silence..", one of the nurses warned. Sanjay was very Angry with Anika's behaviour.. he dragged her outside holding her arm tightly.." Enough Anika ,not a word anymore. I never thought I loved a girl who doesn't know how to respect her elders..my mom was correct in judging you"..Anika removed his hand from her arm, looked into his eyes and said, " I am  this, you like me ,you don't like me, It's up to you"..she said and turned around to leave.." Anika, if you behave this way, my mom will never accept you and you can never become my wife"..She took a deep breath before turning towards him and said, I can't change myself for others.."Good luck Mr.Sanjay for your future".." What do you mean Anika??"" I mean what you said just now". she turned around and walked inside the hospital.." Sanjay was flabbergasted when he heard her.. why did she say that?? She really wants to break up with me"..He was very angry at her behaviour and said to himself, " Fine Anika"..Anika has mixed emotions in her heart.. She was angry on one side for his behaviour  and equally sad for breaking their relationship... She controlled her tears and walked towards the operation theatre..Sanjay followed her and both of them stood at two different places in the hospital corridor.. Both were angry with each other and neither of them looked at  one another. After two hours ,Operation theatre finally opened and the doctor said, "There was an injury in her brain, we have operated it but can't say anything till she regains her  consciousness.."Soon,  Gayatri was shifted to the ICU. Seeing her lying motionless with tubes all over her body Anika had tears in her eyes..She stared at Gayatri for some time, walked towards Rahul's mom and said, " "As I said, get ready to bear the consequences"..But Sanjay stood in between Anika and Rahul's mom and said, " you have to touch me before you touch  my friend's family".. Anika smirked and walked away as if she didn't care his words..Sanjay was shocked to see her smirk.. How can an ordinary middle Class girl be so confident? He didn't know Anika's family background.  Seeing her Car and dresses ,he felt she belonged to a Middle class family like Gayatri...She walked out, called her father and said," Dad, you asked me for my graduation gift.. I want it now".."Sure dear, tell me what do you want?? this is the first time you have asked me something.. anything for you.."" Jk Pvt ltd, I want it by Tomorrow"" Such a small company, why do you need that??"" I will tell you the details later dad""ok, assume your work is done"..She disconnected the call and walked towards Gayatri's ward.. She looked at her and said, " I will make them pay back "..On the other hand, Sanjay thought Anika will go to the police station to file a complaint against Rahul's family and called the commissioner to not take any complaint against them..But Anika was beyond his thoughts...
