Anika met Sanjay through her common friend  Gayatri. Her friend was a middle class girl whom she met in schooling and soon they became very good friends..Even though they chose different education backgrounds after school they still remained friends..During her graduation Anika  opted to go by bus instead of car as she felt she can enjoy her student life if  she can be with  her friends  and always remained low key as she wants friends who like her as in person  not because of  her money..Nobody in her college knew she belonged to a rich family except for Aditya. One day after college, she received a call from Gayatri.."Hey Birthday girl , what's up??", she asked "Can you please meet me in the coffee shop..""Coffee shop , but why?? ", Anika asked.."Anika ,please come..", I will tell you everything..She took an auto and reached the Coffee shop  where she saw a  car parked at a distance .Seeing Anika, Gayatri got down from the car..Gayatri belongs to a middle class family and Anika knows this high end car is not hers.She wanted  to see who she had come with and why.Soon she saw two men coming down from the car and they both walked into the coffee shop leaving two friends at the entrance..Anika looked at them in surprise as she had never seen them before.. She took Gayatri's  hand and asked her in a worried tone ," Who are they??"Gayatri took a breath and said " Anika , I am sorry for hiding something from you.. The one in the red shirt is my boyfriend Rahul and the other one in white shirt is his friend Sanjay.."Anika was shocked to hear her.. The girl who was always reserved in nature  has really fallen for a guy.. She was happy for her but was worried   about  the guy she chose.She thought maybe after talking to him she may have little perception about the person..As today is my birthday he wanted to celebrate it.  I said, I can't go alone with him so he said ," Bring your friend and he brought his..Anika sneered and said, " Fine ,let's go  and see"Gayatri was happy that Anika didn't fire on her for bringing her here to meet her boyfriend without giving any prior information..The two friends reached the table where Sanjay and Rahul were already sitting..Gayatri introduced Anika to Sanjay and Rahul.."Hey, nice to meet you.. heard about you from Gayatri", Rahul said..Oh really!! She smiled and her  gaze fell on  Sanjay who  was staring at her without blinking his eye. He didn't speak  but his eyes were speaking.. Anika blushed when she realised he fell for her..Maybe it's because of her  age,   she too felt attracted towards him..In between the conversation she got to know that Sanjay and Rahul are classmates and  are in their second year of graduation..After the celebrations, the boys said  they will drop them home but Anika denied saying ," We will take a taxi".."Ok then, book a taxi we will wait", Sanjay spoke for the first time.. He leaned  on his car and stared at Anika..Anika smiled when she felt his gaze on her..She was in fact happy to feel him on her..Soon their taxi arrived and when Anika got into the cab, his eyes were saying don't go..  but the taxi didn't stop and took the road.." Anika was all smiles all over the way""So did you like him??", Gayatri asked."Who?? Anika said in a hurry..", she felt she is been caught"Of course , Rahul""oh !!Yeah ,he is good .", Anika took a breath of relief. "and Sanjay", Gayatri asked raising her eyebrows"What nonsense Gayatri , she was scared that her friend would find her.""Oh really!! I have observed everything from the beginning.. how you two were looking into each Other's eyes.."What fell for him hmm??""Shut up Gayatri", Anika blushed.."Let's see how long you will hide from me, ".Gayatri winked.."Soon they reached Gayatri's house.. seeing her with Anika ,her parents were relieved..In the same cab, Anika reached home..For the whole night she was thinking about him.. " Is this love or just attraction that happens in this age"Whatever it is, this feeling is good ,she said, hugging her pillow tightly..On the other hand, even Sanjay was sleepless thinking about her.. He regretted not taking her mobile number." he had an urge to call Rahul and make him get a number from Gayatri, but he didn't want anyone to tease her... He thought when he meets her again he will definitely initiate the talk and take the number from her.. From her looks he felt even she is interested in him so it will not be a problem to get her number"..Every day Anika was curiously waiting for Gayatri's call so that she  could have a chance to meet Sanjay again..One day, she took out her mobile to call Gayatri to get his number.." But wait, what will he think if I take initiative to call and what if he is not thinking about me  the way I am thinking about him", She thought and with disappointment in her eyes.she put her mobile aside and  opened her books..Her mobile started ringing after some time.. It was from Gayatri.." Hey Gayatri, tell me", Anika was excited.." Hey Anika , Rahul has asked me out  for dinner today.. ""oh really, then go.. all the best."." what all the best, do you think my mom and dad will send me out now alone at this time..""Hmmmm,  so what should we do now ",Anika asked.."Only you can take me out now.. please Anika you come and tell mom and dad that you want to take me out for dinner, they will trust you", Gayatri said.."Ok, ok, wait I will come"..She took out a normal car from her garage and drove towards Gayatri's house.She took permission from Gayatri's parents and drove her to the restaurant and said," Gayatri, you go meet him.. I will wait for you in the car or will go to the nearby mall to buy something and will kill the time""No no, you should also come", Gayatri insisted. " I don't want to become a third wheel between you.  You just go and enjoy. I will take care of myself".  When they were discussing they saw Rahul getting down from the car.. He walked towards the driver seat and was talking about something.It was the same car Sanjay drove the other day when she met him the first day..which means he is here too..There were butterflies in her stomach.. but to her disappointment the car left.. Now she is in no mood to go to dinner with Gayatri and Rahul.. But Gayatri was too adamant to take her along with her..Rahul came near the two girls   and greeted them.."See Rahul , Anika is not willing to dine with us.. ", Gayatri pouted.." Hey Anika , please join us", Rahul said.." No, No.. I don't want to disturb your privacy", Anika said..Hey nothing like that, please we will be happy if you can join us..Anika denied but Rahul and Gayatri were stubborn and dragged her  inside..On the way, Rahul messaged Sanjay," Anika is with us"..Rahul gave his car for servicing so asked Sanjay to drop him to the restaurant..On the way he asked," Rahul,is  Anika coming too??""I have no idea Sanjay, Gayatri didn't tell me anything  about bringing her today.. "Rahul and Gayatri have earlier discussed about how Sanjay and Anika were looking at each other and felt there are feelings between them..After dropping Rahul, Sanjay wanted to go but Rahul insisted him to stay.. he denied and left from there. He was disappointed that Anika is not here..so he didn't feel like eating.When he received the message that she had come, he quickly turned his car towards the restaurant.. He was dying to see her..Anika felt alone even though she was sitting  with Gayatri and Rahul..She had no appetite now.. She had a little hope that she would meet him again when Gayatri asked her to drop by the restaurant.. infact she also wanted Gayatri to stop her so that she can have a chance to meet him but when she saw his car leaving,she didn't want to stay anymore..She came out of her thoughts  and her eyes widened when she heard  Rahul saying ," Hey Sanjay ,thanks for joining man"He was standing behind her.  Her eyes lit up and her  heartbeat was racing, don't know how many Kms per hour. He Slowly walked to the front and sat beside Rahul and was sitting right in front of her.." Hai" he said to her.She gulped her saliva  ,looked at him and said," Hai"..She immediately retracted her gaze from him.. "What is this Anika, you wanted to see him badly, now he is in front of you but you  are scared to look at him", her inner voice said. " Hey Anika , where are you lost?? looks like you didn't like me joining for dinner " ,he asked. "No, No .. nothing like that", she replied hurriedly.."Then , why are you looking somewhere else ", he asked..She replied to him with a smile.. His eyes were looking straight into hers giving a tickling sensation in her heart.. Throughout the dinner , she was just listening to three of them.. she rarely spoke  and was  just responding to them  with  her cute smile"..He wanted to hear her sweet voice but was also  satisfied with her smile..Very soon the dinner ended and Rahul excused himself to go to the washroom..Seeing him leaving, Sanjay said," Gayatri, my battery is down.. can you give your phone.. I have to make a quick call.""Sure", Gayatri gave him her mobile..He took her phone and  pretended as if he was typing  a number but  actually he was   searching Anika's number.. When he found it he quickly memorised it, dialled some random number ,gave the mobile back to her and said ," I couldn't connect, thank you"..The two girls were talking so they didn't observe what Sanjay was doing..Excuse me, he excused himself and walked towards the washroom , took out his mobile, typed her number before he could forget it and walked out with a triumphant smile on his face..Â
