"This girl Nidhi is really good", Nandini stared at Nidhi's back.She  turned her  head, when  she felt Kabir's arm on her  shoulder" What are you thinking?"He asked.I don't know why I feel Nidhi likes you" ."What nonsense Nandini?""I saw  happiness in her eyes when she saw you"."Don't think too much, let's go", Kabir said.Nandini smiled,but  deep in heart  she knew Nidhi had a thing for Kabir.She sneered, went inside and met her in-laws in the living room.They insisted Kabir and Nandini stay with them.And finally the couple  agreed and started to live and very soon a grand  cradle ceremony was organised  and Kabir's daughter was named," Avani".Kabir's parents finally accepted Nandini and they  treated her  like their own  daughter  Which made Nandini feel   very fortunate not only to get  Kabir but also his parents.After a few months, Kabir wanted to shift  to Los Angeles as he had to take care of the newly opened branch of his business.Kabir's mom didn't agree but Kabir's father persuaded her and said it's a matter of a few years, once the business is successfully established he will appoint someone to take care and will return back.And finally Kabir and Nandini left.*****************************After he  left India ,  Nidhi   didn't see him till today. "Nidhi ,he is already married and you have no future with him, there's no point in thinking and hurting yourself ", her inner voice said."I don't know why I felt pain today, even though I accepted the fact long back....", Nidhi had tears in her eyes.Her train of thoughts got  interrupted by a call. It was from Sanjana."Nidhi,are you alright? I too saw Kabir today , I know you are upset from the moment you saw him. I couldn't speak to you because mom was sitting in the back", she explained."I am fine Sanjana, I gave up on him ,the day he married , I don't know why I am upset.This heart sometimes doesn't listen to us. I just hope I can train it just like my brain. But it feels so impossible. .", Nidhi 's voice was hoarse."Hmmmm, Nidhi stop your thoughts ,leave the past behind, I know it's not easy to control our emotions, but just try and you know what I feel sleep is a kind of medicine  which makes us  forget the pain for the few hours when  we are asleep. So try to get some sleep", Sanjana said.Nidhi sighed and said in a depressed voice " yeah, bye Sanjana, and all the best for tomorrow ". ****Nidhi told Sanjana  about Kabir when they became best friends. Even though he is married and she has accepted the fact,  Sanjana knows Nidhi  had Kabir in her heart.Many guys proposed to her during college days, but she didn't consider a single one.And the reason behind is ," Kabir".Uffff,I don't know what to do with this girl, Infront of everyone she acts as if she is reckless and doesn't care about anything,but I know how much pain she is hiding behind her smile.God, you always listen to me, please make my friend's  life better." Sanjana prayed in her heart.*****Next morning, Sanjana  went to the office to report. This is her first day so she went to the HR department to go through basic procedures of entering the company  and she  was asked to report to the CEO's office directly.When she  entered the lift , she saw a man in his late twenties, wearing a blue shirt with black trousers, he looked very professional  and handsome with fair skin, sharp facial features and a tall body"He smiled at her and asked ," New joinee"She  smiled and nodded.They both got down from the lift at the same floor, and walked towards the CEO's office.When he saw Sanjana following ,he stopped and asked," why are you walking towards the CEO office?, wait one second, are you the new junior assistant working under me??"Ahhh, the first part of what you said is true, but I don't know whether I will be working under you", Sanjana replied with a smile."Hahahaha, Nice to meet you Miss Sanjana, I am the personal assistant of the CEO.She told me ,you will be reporting from today,  by the way I am Ashish, welcome aboard"."Nice to meet you sir, and thank you for your warm welcome".They  both entered Anika's office together.When she saw them , she smiled and said, " looks like you two already met "" Yes, Anika  in the lift", Ashish replied casually.Sanjana was shocked to hear him calling his boss by name and his boss  didn't mind at all."Anyways, Sanjana, this is Ashish and you  will be working under him. As I told you ,you will replace him in a few months ,so try to learn how to manage things."Ashish, show her office and explain the work she has to do today", Anika explained.Sanjana nodded and left the room with Ashish.He took her  to the cabin next to CEO'S office and showed her the  table"Thank you sir", Sanjana said."Call me Ashish, I feel old if you call me Sir", he replied with a smile.Sanjana smiled and nodded.."By the way, we have a meeting with a client in 15 min, so be ready with your laptop,take notes and I will send you Anika's schedule of this month, so your job is to keep minding her about her meetings", he said in one go in a serious tone.Sanjana quietly  nodded in agreement.Very soon the meeting started and Sanjana got immersed in her work..Ashish came to her  in the lunch hour and said, " Hey Sanjana, come let's go and have lunch in canteen"She  had to agree  because she doesn't know anyone else other than him here, and  was feeling hungry too, so she quietly accepted and followed him.Ashish is a really easy going and cool guy, on the way to the canteen he cracked a few jokes.She  felt comfortable with him.When she  reached the canteen ,she  could feel strange stares on her , she didn't know why?" Is it because I am new? maybe ,"  she didn't think much about it.While eating she  looked at him and said," Ashish, can I ask you something??" Other than the chicken biryani I am eating right now, you can ask me anything", he replied seriouslyShe  chuckled and said " I don't eat non veg today ,so don't worry.""Then you can ask me anything", he replied." I was wondering,how can  you call Anika mam by her name? I mean doesn't she feel angry, if her assistant  calls  her by her name"He didn't lift his head, he was busy eating, he calmly replied," you want me to call my twin sister "mam", hmmm?Sanjana  was  astonished to hear him , it took few seconds to  process what he said just now, which means he is Anika mam's brother , which also means he is  the boss ,OMG, I am sitting with the boss, she murmured,  stood up and  looked at him with little fear in my eyes.
