Author's POVWhen Mamta heard about Sanjana's engagement, she looked a little unhappy, but hid her sadness and said," Congratulations Rekha, who is that lucky boy??".Sanjana's mom explained everything to her. and said "The groom's family wanted an  engagement in a hotel, I will send you the address later ,you should come with a family."Mamta nodded and said,  "Vinod is out of the country for business, I will definitely come along with Aditya."After chatting for a while, Mamta left.She wanted Sanjana to be her daughter-in-law, she thought she will invite Sanjana and her mother  for lunch when Aditya is available and will ask him his opinion on Sanjana.but all her dreams shattered when she heard about Sanjana's engagement.she thought maybe they are not meant for each other.Her mood was  little off when she reached home.When she entered the living room, she saw Aditya watching business news on T.V." Adi ,when did you come back, you didn't even call me", she said, hugging her son.Aditya went to Mumbai for some business deal." Mom,just wanted to give you a surprise,so didn't tell you," he replied.Adi, I  have  a request ,I know you are busy but there is an engagement invitation for us on Sunday, they invited us with family, as dad is not here can you accompany me" , she asked Aditya." Of course mom, it's  Sunday, I will definitely come along with you, just remind me on Saturday ,by the way whose engagement is it?" he asked.."My friend's daughter, Adi, they are very special to us,'' Mamta replied.What's so special about mom? he asked.Mamta explained how her friend's family helped them when they were low.and  said when the time comes we should also help them.Aditya nodded and said," of course mom, we will definitely help them if they need our help. I will even help them in wedding preparations,.so you just relax, hmmm " Mamta nodded and left for her room.********Aditya's POVI went to Mumbai to meet a few business clients.I was missing her , I had an urge to see her, but how??, she doesn't even work in my office, I have to go to Hooda's to see her.I called Anika and said, " Hey Anika""Hey Adi ,how was your business deal ??", she asked."It's successful Anika, let's celebrate , let's meet for lunch tomorrow and anyways we have a meeting with  Aryan groups M.D tomorrow, we will call him for  lunch, what say?""ok Adi, definitely will meet tomorrow then", Anika replied.The only reason I called Anika, she will bring her assistant wherever she goes, so I thought I could see Sanjana tomorrow.With happiness in my heart I went to sleep.Next day morning , I was excited to see Sanjana.I went to the office but couldn't concentrate on work, I was wishing for the time to fly.Soon it was noon and I went to the hotel where I asked Anika to come.a little later I saw Anika  coming along with Mr.Aryan. "Where is Sanjana, didn't she come???" I said to myself and started looking at the door, hoping she was late.but to my disappointment she didn't come.I quickly finished  lunch and meeting with  Mr. Aryan and he left.I was not in the mood to eat,so I ate very little.When we came out of the hotel, I said," Anika ,how come you are alone without your assistant??""Oh !! don't ask me  how much trouble  I am in without an assistant," she replied.what happened to your assistant??, I slowly enquired."Aditya ,I thought I was wasting Sanjana's talent by making her my secretary so I transferred her to the design department.".I felt relieved when I heard her.."Anika ,I know you are in trouble managing multiple projects, so I was thinking as Alankara Jewels is our joint venture, why don't you transfer them to my office, I will take care " I suggested hoping she will agree."OMG Aditya!!! , thank you so much for this , I will be little free at least"Anyways Tomorrow is Saturday and the day after tomorrow is sunday. so I will ask them to report from Monday..I smiled,  thank god she fell  for my trick, from now on I will be seeing Sanjana daily in my office.Today is Sanjana's engagement day.Sanjana wore a pale  peach colour lehenga choli and baby pink dupatta, with heavy necklace , jhumkas  maang tikka( forehead jewellery) and matching bangles.Her hair was tied into a  bun and a few strands of hair were curled in  front.Her makeup was little but she  looked extremely graceful." OMG Sanju, I couldn't take my eyes off you, what will happen to Vihaan".,Nidhi teased."Stop pulling my leg Nidhi, just check with mom, when I saw her a few minutes back, she didn't  even get ready, she was busy handling things.""Ok,ok ,I will check" ,Nidhi replied and left the place.On the other hand Vihaan wore a Royal blue sherwani, he looked extremely handsome.His friends started teasing him for getting married, he was smiling but his eyes were on Sanjana's room. He was eagerly waiting to see her.Aditya's POVToday, I promised my mom to go along with her to the engagement ceremony.I  wore a grey pintuck kurta pyjama. my mom saw me with a smile on her lips ," you look so handsome in traditional clothes Aadi, can't wait to see you in traditional wedding attire"." Oh ma!! ", you started it again, now don't ask me to see any girls at the party, I have no interest.' ,I replied.If you won't see a girl ,how will you marry ?? She questioned.I smiled and said, " Mom, don't you think we are getting late"." You know how to change the topic ,come let's go", she was a little upset and she walked outside and sat in the car.I smiled and followed her.I drove the car to the hotel my mom mentioned.When I entered the hall, I saw the hall was beautifully decorated with flowers.Kids were playing around the chairs and women were talking about their sarees and jewellery.My mom said she will go meet Rekha aunty.I nodded and  saw an empty chair in the corner,where there were no people around  and sat on it.I saw the groom sitting along with his friends. He looked good.Engagement ceremony hadn't started yet so to kill time ,I started playing a game on the mobile.I suddenly heard my name from a distance, it was Anika, along with her stood Ashish.I was surprised to see them here.Anika came near me and said," Aadi what are you doing here?"I calmly replied , I came along with my mother. bride's mom and my mom are friends. Why are you here? I asked.Anika smiled and said, " Have you seen your mom's friend's daughter??"No" , but you didn't tell me from whose side you are here?She chuckled and said," from Bride's side"."What makes you chuckle?'' I asked in a serious tone.She laughed and said," you too know the bride".I know her, who is it? Is she our college friend ? Anika  nodded her head as no.I know a few of her friends,so I asked ,is she among your close friends?''Anika smiled and said "No"." I  can't guess anymore, just tell me who it is", I became impatient."Then it will be a surprise for you, just wait for a few more minutes, she will come out", Anika replied.I was wondering who it could be, and  I saw a beautiful girl wearing a peach-colored lehenga choli coming out of the room along with a few more people.
