“Mr. Hearth, I was drinking with Dulcie last night, and we got drunk... Dulcie probably gave the driver the wrong address, so...”

Ethan finally regained his composure. He and Dulcie would occasionally come here for dates. He had told her the password, so he guessed that she and Silvia went drinking nearby last night. Hence, they came over straight after.

“Where’s Dul?”

Silvia shook her head. “I was about to call her.”

As soon as she said this, Dulcie called out to Ethan from behind.

“Ethan, why are you standing at the stairway?”

He frowned when he saw Dulcie walk out of the second bedroom. “Why did you stay there last night?”

They usually shared the master bedroom when she came over.

Dulcie remained silent.

She had not gotten any answers from him, yet he had the nerve to question her.

“Let’s put our sleeping arrangements aside. When I came over last night, I saw your secretary stealing kisses from you. If I hadn’t arrived in time, goodness knows what she would’ve done. There’s no telling if she’s already taken advantage of you!”

Ethan was visibly surprised. Then, he frowned and said, “I’ll get human resources to dismiss her later.”

Dulcie raised an eyebrow in satisfaction. “That’s more like it. By the way, why did you go out socializing all of a sudden?”

“The Xander Family’s third heir from Imperial City visited Ryoln City to check out some projects. Hearth Corporation has always wanted to work with the Xander Family, so I met up with him last night.”

Ethan’s voice was not too loud or soft, and Silvia happened to hear it from the living room downstairs. She was shocked.

Dulcie did not probe further, and she went downstairs with Ethan.

Seeing that Silvia was awake, she spoke bashfully. “Sil, I’m sorry about last night. I just didn’t have the strength to move you upstairs, so I let you sleep on the couch for the night.”

Silvia shook her head and looked at her. “I should be thanking you. If you hadn’t brought me back, there’s no telling what would have happened.”

Ethan frowned at what he heard too. “It’s too dangerous for two women like you to drink alone at a bar. Remember to tell me before you go drinking next time. That way, I can arrange for someone to pick you up.”

The last part was clearly addressed to Dulcie.

Noticing the dissatisfaction in his eyes, Dulcie snorted. “I called you last night, but that secretary of yours answered. She told me that you were drunk and that she was taking care of you. So, you couldn’t pick me up. If I had arrived a little later, she would’ve taken care of you in bed!”

Ethan was a little annoyed. He immediately took out his phone and called human resources.

“Fire Luna. I don’t want to see her when I get back to work.”

After he hung up, he turned to Dulcie. “Are you happy now?”

Dulcie smiled. “Very happy. I hope you’ll do better in future. If you’re surrounded by male secretaries like Neil, I wouldn’t have to worry, would I?”

Soon after, she realized that she had broached a sensitive subject. She quickly looked at Silvia, but Silvia seemed lost and downcast.

Ethan smiled and changed the subject.

“Bring Miss Pond to the bathroom so that she can wash up. I’ll go upstairs and change my clothes.”

He was about to leave when Silvia suddenly spoke up, “Mr. Hearth, I have something to ask you. About the Xander Family’s third heir, is his name Zayn?”
