He had just ended the call when Silvia walked in with two cups of coffee. She passed one of them to Neil and asked, “Have you found him?”

“Yes, but he’s already dead.”

She was not surprised. She took a sip of the coffee and suddenly recalled that the gang was using guns at the start.

“Our country has strict regulations when it comes to firearms. But they shot my window while they chased me. My car got hit a few times too. If I’m not mistaken, they were using Beretta 92s with an effective range of 50 meters.”

A hint of surprise flashed across Neil’s eyes, and he immediately said, “I’ll ask Curtis to look into it. We should be able to get more information soon.”

Neil received a call from Curtis at sunrise.

Neil seemed indifferent. “Continue your investigation. If he can send someone to kill Silvia, he must still be in Ryoln City.”

Liam paused and looked at her. “Are you willing to leave with me then?”

He would settle everything before Ada gave birth.

Neil did not answer her question. Instead, he sternly asked, “Has Liam been hiding at your place?”
