Alan sneered. Just as he was about to speak, a cold voice rang out behind them.

“Mr. Rios, if you have time to spout nonsense, why don’t you take care of your company’s business?”

Alan looked at Neil with a dark expression. The surgery was over. Even if he went back on his word and attacked Remus Corporation, Silvia could not do anything to him!

“Mr. Remus, you don’t have to worry about my company. If you have the time, you’d better worry about Remus Corporation. Make sure it doesn’t go bankrupt all of a sudden!”

When Neil heard his warning, he raised his eyebrows in amusement. “Mr. Rios, you seem really confident.”

Alan wanted to retort, but the phone in his pocket started to ring.

When he saw that it was his secretary calling, he frowned and answered the phone.

His secretary said something, and his expression instantly turned dour. He raised his head and looked at Neil with eyes full of anger.

After Alan hung up, he continued to glare at Neil. “Did you do that?”

“Mr. Rios, do you really think I’m capable of doing such a thing?”

“You better pray that Remus Corporation has nothing to do with this. Otherwise, Remus Corporation will suffer a tragic end!”

Then, he spoke to his butler coldly, “Book the earliest flight back to Imperial City!”

His butler immediately wheeled him out of the place, and the grim atmosphere in the corridor disappeared.

Noelle Clark turned to Silvia. “The surgery’s over, so I’m planning to go back to Dewland tomorrow morning. I still have a lot of work in the lab.”

Silvia was absent-minded. She only registered what Noelle was talking about after a few seconds. “Noelle, why are you in such a rush? I was planning to bring you around the city over the next few days,” she quickly replied.

Noelle shook her head. “Maybe next time. I’m very busy at the moment.”

Mr. Remus, Your Billionaire Wife Wants a Divorce Since she was determined to leave, Silvia just nodded. “Okay, I’ll get the bodyguards to send you to the hotel first. Then, I’ll ask Winston to throw you a farewell party tonight.”

“Okay.”

After Noelle left, Silvia recalled what Alan had said earlier.

Perhaps she should find out more about the fire.

As long as she investigated it, she would find out who actually rescued her!

“Sil... Sil, what are you thinking about?”

When she heard Neil’s voice, she snapped out of her thoughts. She realized that he was staring at her with a worried expression.

“What’s wrong, Sil? I called out to you a few times, but you didn’t respond.”

Initially, Silvia wanted to ask him if the firefighter had truly rescued her. But she thought that perhaps Neil knew the truth and had decided to lie to her.

She shook her head. “Nothing. I’m just a bit tired.”

“I’ll send you home so that you can rest.”

“Okay.”

Before Silvia left, she asked Dr. Howard to keep an eye on Chris and inform her if anything happened.

Once Silvia was back in Royal Vista, she entered her bedroom. Then, she took out her phone and dialed a number.

“Find out who rescued me when I was trapped in the fire on August 12th!”

She was still in a bad mood when she hung up. What should she do if Neil actually lied to her?

In the meantime, Neil was on the phone with Curtis in the study.

“Mr. Remus, the champagne roses will be delivered tomorrow. Where are you planning to propose to Miss Pond?”
