âWell, you are the president. Whatever you say, Miss Pond.â
Silvia scoffed. âSince itâs up to me, why did you argue with me earlier? If you have a different opinion, nowâs the time to share it, Mr. Reed. Donât say that I never gave you a chance.â
For a moment, Sigwaldâs expression was unpleasant. But he took a deep breath and said, âIf you insist.â
Silvia smiled and nodded. âPlease proceed. â
âLately, many companies have been interested in making military uniforms. But they donât want to invest too much capital. So, they want to work with a company with its own factory and machinery. Theyâll provide the designs, and weâll make the products for them.
âI contacted a few companies recently, and the prices they quoted seem fair. I suggest that we take some of these orders to transition during this period. If we win the lawsuit with Perficient, weâll mass produce the new products that we released before. What do you think, Miss Pond?â
Silvia considered it for a few more moments and said, âYou have a point. I agree. What about the rest?â
Dulcie frowned. âI disagree. Orders like these usually arenât small. Even the smaller ones take a month, while larger orders would take up to a few months. If we take on a few of these orders, our factories wouldnât be able to make time to manufacture MY Corporationâs new products for a year!â
Sigwald glanced at Dulcie coldly. âWe can only profit when the machines are running. Are you saying that we need to watch the factory remain stagnant while we wait for the lawsuit to end? Who will pay the workersâ wages? Are you going to give us the money?â
Just as Dulcie was about to speak, Silvia said, âOkay, donât argue. I understand both of your opinions. We can take a couple of these orders to last us until the end of the lawsuit. Mr. Reed, since you suggested this, so Iâll put you in charge of this project.â
Sigwald was in disbelief. As if afraid that Silvia would go back on her word, he quickly said, âOkay. I wonât let you down, Miss Pond.â
After the meeting adjourned, Dulcie approached Silvia angrily.
âSil, why did you agree to Uncle Sigwaldâs proposal? That man will never do anything if thereâs nothing in it for him. Heâs so aggressive because heâs up to something!â
Silvia smiled. âAs long as he doesnât go against company regulations, he can profit from this as much as he can.â
Dulcie gritted her teeth. âHow could he not violate the companyâs regulations?! He doesnât care about the companyâs survival. He only wants to benefit from this.â

Dulcie shot her an incredulous look. âWhat do you mean?â
âWe can remove him from the board once he violates the interests of the company and goes against regulation.â
When Dulcie heard this, she finally came to a realization. âYouâre planning to deal with Uncle Sigwald?â
Silvia appeared relaxed. âI wonât do anything to him if he plays his part.â
Dulcie could only shake her head. Uncle Sigwald only had profit on his mind. As long as he could rake in the benefits, he would not care about the consequences.
Thanks to his ten-percent share, he had gotten too many things that did not belong to him over the years. However, she was not going to remind him of that.
âIf thereâs nothing else, you can get back to work. I still have plenty of documents to read through.â
Dulcie had just left when the intercom rang.
âMiss Pond, Anderson Corporationâs president would like to have dinner with you tonight. He wants to discuss the collaboration between MY Corporation and Anderson Corporation.â
