Silvia frowned as she looked at Neil. âWhy did you bring me here?â
âAdaâs in there right now. You can ask her if I showed her your designs.â
When both of them entered the living room, the group was having dinner.
Abalene was surprised to see them.
âSilvia, Neil, what brings you here?â
Ada and Liam were sitting by her side. They both turned to the door when they heard this.
Ada looked away with a straight face when she saw them holding hands.
Neil had a cold expression. âGrandma, I heard that Liam and Ada were having dinner with you. It just so happens that I need them for something.â
âHave you eaten? Iâll ask the kitchen staff to prepare two more sets of cutleries.â
âThereâs no need for that. Weâll leave once weâve asked our questions.â
His gaze fell on Ada as he spoke.
âSilvia and I have something to ask you.â
Ada put down her cutlery. âIf this is about MY Corporationâs plagiarizing, I have nothing to say.â
âHow did you manage to get Ritaâs designs?â
When she met his chilling gaze, a sense of fear crept up her heart. She clenched her fists without realizing.
âWhat are you talking about? I donât understand.â
Neil glared at her. âAre you really clueless, or are you pretending not to understand?â
The dining room fell into silence as he spoke.
Adaâs face slowly turned white because she was under intense pressure.
Liam was next to her, and he suddenly decided to speak up. âNeil, her sisterâs company stole Perficientâs designs. You should be asking the designer from MY Corporation to apologize. Instead, youâve come here to interrogate my fiance!â
Neilâs eyes were filled with even more hostility. âWhoâs the one doing the actual copying? Iâm sure Ada knows best!â
Liam chuckled. âDo you have any proof? If youâre here to pressure my fiance without any evidence, youâre plain bullying.â
Abalene had been listening to all of this. She frowned and asked, âWhatâs going on? What canât we handle this as a family? Why are you making a scene?!â
Neil looked at her and calmly said, âGrandma, stay out of this. We can handle this ourselves.â
Abalene furrowed her brows. Neil and Liam were both her grandchildren. It would not be right for her to side with either one. So, she stood up and said, âIâm too old to get involved. Do as you please.â
With that, she left the dining area.
Liam glanced at the chicken soup that she had left untouched. âGrandma has gastric, but she didnât eat much. Send this chicken soup to her room,â
he calmly said to a servant.
âAlright.â
After the servant left with the chicken soup, Liam helped Ada up and sternly said, âNeil, I hope youâll bring proof before you question my fiance.
Otherwise, donât blame me for losing my temper!â
Before Neil could say anything, Silvia interjected, âLiam, this is between me and Ada. The both of you shouldnât have gotten involved. Iâd like to speak with her alone. Could you leave us for a moment?â
Liam chuckled, but there was no warmth in his smile.
âIâm sorry, but Adaâs pregnant. I donât feel safe leaving her with others.â
Ada felt embarrassed for a moment, but she said, âItâs okay Liam. Silvia wonât harm me. Wait for me outside. Iâll talk with her for a bit.â
Liam nodded. âAlright. Call out to me if anything happens. Iâll be outside.â
âOkay.â
Soon, Liam and Neil left.

ï¤Chapter 20 The Ugly Lady Strikes Back ï¤Chapter 2514 Ada smiled as she looked at Silvia. âWhat did you want to say to me?â
âYou stole our designs, but you didnât steal the final version. You only stole the edited version of the first draft. You donât even know how to be a proper thief. No wonder Perficient is going downhill in your hands.â
The expression on Adaâs face was ghastly. She gritted her teeth and said, âSilvia, donât go around accusing others blindly. How dare you accuse me of stealing MY Corporationâs designs. Itâs clear that youâre the one stealing Perficientâs designs!â
Silvia smiled when she saw her lack of remorse. âDonât worry. Iâll find the evidence to prove that Perficient plagiarized our designs!â
Adaâs eyes were full of scorn. âAnyone can make big claims, but whether you succeed or not, thatâs another story.â
Silvia had nothing else to say, so she left.
When she entered the car, Neil cast a glance at her. âAm I free of suspicion?â
