Rita nodded. âYes. Is there a problem?â
Silvia frowned and pointed out a few issues in the design. âThese are rookie mistakes. With your skills, it should be really easy to avoid them.â
Rita looked at the draft and felt ashamed. âIâm sorry, Ms. Pond. I never noticed. In the future, I wonât make such silly mistakes again.â
Silvia did not continue to criticize her work. She looked at her calmly and asked, âDid you run into any trouble recently?â
âNo. Why do you ask?â
âYou seem stressed.â
Rita lowered her gaze and said, âI promise that I wonât bring anything from my personal life to work.â
âOkay. Go ahead and make some amendments.â
As she walked out of Silviaâs office with her design, Ritaâs eyes turned red again.
She had been upset ever since she heard about Liam and Adaâs engagement. She had no idea how to keep her emotions in check.
Now that Liam was engaged, she could not possibly approach him anymore. It looked like it was a fruitless crush.
That night, Neil picked Silvia up for dinner in Harmony Yard.
Ada and Liam had been invited as well, so the few of them met at Harmony Yardâs entrance.
Unlike Silvia and Neil, Ada and Liam were like two strangers. After he parked his car, Liam walked straight into Harmony Yard without glancing at Ada.
Ada bit her lower lip, and her face was a little pale. The last thing she wanted was for Neil and Silvia to see her make a fool of herself.
She forced a smile. âMr. Remus, Silvia, Iâm going inside.â
There wasnât a hint of warmth in Silviaâs eyes as she stared at Ada. This was all her own doing; she could not blame anyone.
When she turned to look at Neil, his eyes were dark. She suddenly remembered the day when Ada came to the mansion to plead on Idrisâs behalf.
Neil had gone out to give her an umbrella.
Mr. Remus, Your Billionaire Wife Wants a Divorce Silvia immediately felt a wave of dissatisfaction in her heart. She let go of Neilâs arm and spoke coldly, âDo you feel sorry for her? If you do, you can go over and comfort her.â
Neil looked at her with a frown and said, âWhy would I pity her?â
Silvia scoffed. âDidnât you pity her when she came pleading at the mansion door? Once you thought I was asleep, you couldnât wait to bring her an umbrella.â
Neil froze, and Silvia calmly said, âIf you wanted to give her an umbrella, you couldâve just told me. Iâm not a petty person, but I canât stand it if you do things behind my back.â
She could not be bothered to see his expression as she walked away.
When she entered the living room, Abalene greeted her with a big smile.
âSil, sit with me. Iâve asked the kitchen staff to prepare your favorite snacks.â
Silvia smiled as she walked over to sit by her side. âMadam Remus, you donât have to go through the trouble. I can never finish them.â
âAlright, alright.â
Abalene would always agree, but she would still prepare them the next time.
Ada was sitting across from them, and her face was twisted in anger. When she arrived, Abalene gave her a cold greeting and pretended as if she was invisible.
However, she gave Silvia such a warm greeting. She was mocking her on purpose.
Ada did not want to see them laughing together, so she stood up and said, âMadam Remus, Iâm going for a walk in the garden.â
Abalene looked at her plainly. âGo ahead. Donât walk too far. Weâre going to have dinner soon.â
âOkay.â
Ada walked into the garden and saw Liam sitting in an arbor. She took a deep breath and quickly strode over.
