The bartender smiled. âYou came to the bar for some excitement, right? Iâll show you a good time.â
The two men immediately charged at Silvia.
The bartender was confident about capturing her. However, over ten seconds later, his expression turned grim.
Silvia looked physically weak, so imagine his surprise when she managed to beat up two big men. They could no longer get up.
âThis is all a misunderstanding. Letâs keep it cool.â
She approached him and broke his arm. A piercing scream instantly echoed through the corridor.
âIâm sorry! Please spare me! I wonât do it again!â
âIâll let you go if you answer a few questions for me.â
âWhat questions?â
âDid someone reserve the fanciest private room in your bar recently?â
The bartender was a little taken aback. âHow did you know?â
âJust answer with a âyesâ or âno.ââ
âYes...â
âTell me everything you know about the man in that private room.â
âThatâs a customerâs private information. I... Ah! Iâll tell you! Please let go of my hand...â
âYouâre not in the position to negotiate with me.â
The bartender clenched his teeth and answered, âHeâs very mysterious. Although heâs reserved the room for three months, he only shows up on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Whenever he comes, he brings a group of intimidating people. Iâve only been in the room to serve drinks. Thatâs all I know.â
âWhat time does he usually arrive?â
âAround 9 p.m. He stays for an hour or two at most, and then he leaves.â
Silvia released him and fiercely said, âIf I find out that youâve lied to me, youâll regret it!â
âItâs the truth. I swear to God. If I lie, Iâll be struck by lightning!â
She paid him no more attention and left.
After opening the door at the end of the corridor, she found herself at a subway station. The bartender had likely planned to use this blind spot to knock her out and take her away.
By the time she returned to the mansion, it was 3 a.m.
The lights in the living room were on, and Neil was sitting there in dissatisfaction.
âWhere have you been?â
Silvia frowned. She did not expect him to find out, but she had no intention of explaining herself.
âItâs personal. I hope you wonât inquire further, Mr. Remus.â
Neilâs eyes flared with anger. âAs your husband, canât I ask about your whereabouts if you go out at night without telling me?â
After a brief silence, Silvia replied, âYou can ask, but I wonât answer.â
âAre you trying to make me run an investigation on you?â
âYou can do whatever you want.â
Silvia then returned to her bedroom. After she closed the door, she could hear objects being thrown onto the living room floor.
She felt that Neilâs temper had worsened recently.
The following day happened to be Friday, so she went back to the bar after work.
At 8 p.m., Scorpion finally showed up.
He must have learned of her presence because he instructed his subordinates to invite her to the private room.
When Silvia entered the room, she saw Scorpion seated at the center. He was wearing a silvery-gray mask, which only revealed his nose, eyes, and mouth.

After she sat across from him, Silvia coldly said, âScorpion, Iâm the one who wants you dead. If you have an issue with that, deal with me directly. If you ever try to harm the people around me again, I wonât spare you!â
Scorpion laughed and spoke in a raspy voice, âDonât worry. I wonât harm you. You killed most of my trusted subordinates, so I want you to know what itâs like for everyone around you to die before your eyes!â
