Qin Nan was startled. He brought his hands together and greeted, “Pleased to meet you, Senior Shehuang.”

Heavenly Master Shehuang waved his hand and said, “Qin Nan, I’m here because of three things. First, I hope you won’t hold a grudge against Lei Daoming. He only went so far because he wasn’t pleased with certain things.”

He was feeling uncomfortable when Lei Daoming used the Great Curse on him, but the Sky Taihuang Sect had been kind to him so far. He would not treat Lei Daoming as an enemy of life and death because of how the man had treated him.

“Second, we would like to appoint you as the next Patriarch’s Envoy.”

Daoist Qianjue fondled his beard and said, “Chang Xiao will soon retire from his current role as the patriarch. Feng Hua will take his place, hence we’ll need to decide the next-in-line now.”

Supreme Chang Xiao harrumphed before he said, “Kid, you shouldn’t do anything reckless from now on. Even if you’re planning something, you should cover it up too.”

It was normal for the Exceptional Geniuses of different factions to fight one another in the Nine Heavens Immortal Realm, thus it was not surprising if some Exceptional Geniuses died during the fights.
