Testing Zhao Fei

“Ling Feng, I heard from the company that they’re targeting you again. Are you alright? I knew a few technical talents when I was in college, and I was thinking that they might be of some help to your career.”

Ling Feng had originally planned to question her, but after hearing Zhao Fei’s words, he remembered that the people she’d introduced to him would all be talents in technology in the future, at least according to the story.

He had no choice but to suppress his anger and pretend to be surprised. “Really? I’m so grateful, Feifei!”

Zhao Fei smiled. “It’s fine, it’s just a small matter. Have you eaten? I’ll help you cook.”

Ling Feng nodded. “Alright.”

Soon after, three simple dishes had been placed on the dining table, and the two of them sat down to eat.

“There’s something I’ve been hiding from you,” Ling Feng said as he ate. “I actually have a girl that I’ve loved deeply for many years, but she’s already married. “I’m so useless that I can’t even keep the person I love,” he said, looking hurt.
