Vasilisa's POV

I was waiting for Scar outside his room.

We really did need to talk about things. I probably shouldn't have visited him this morning, what with being sleep deprived and angry enough to kill.

When I saw him stumbling around down the hall, I rushed forward "Scar! Are you alright? Have you been drinking?"

He fell onto the wall. I rushed forward and threw his arm over my shoulder "Okay, let's get you to bed." I mumbled.

Right after we entered his room, he staggered behind me and wrapped his arms around my stomach. He stuck his face in my neck and inhaled deeply. I froze "Scar." I squeaked.

He followed, muttering "You smell good, Vasilisa."

He licked up my neck and I gasped as the muscles below my waist clenched. "Scar, what are you..." I started.

He gave a low growl in his chest that vibrated my body "My mate." He said softly, slipping the neck of my shirt further down my shoulder and kissing the top of it. "I'm making you mine."

I pulled away, whipping around fast enough to make me dizzy "You can't just...ignore me for a two days, get a little drunk and decide you want me." I panted.

He was in front of me in a blink of the eye, wrapping his hands around my waist and making it harder to concentrate "I'm not drunk, just a little dizzy. I was trying to give you space...I thought you were mad at me."

I inhaled "I was mad at you and I still..." His lips cut off my next words.

The next thing I knew he was on top of me on the bed.

I could only clutch at his shirt as his hands seemed to move everywhere at once. My shirt was being slid up my abdomen as my trousers were being lowered. I cried out and bucked beneath him when he ran his fingers through a place...that place.

"Scar..." I whimpered. He ran his lips along my neck "Calm down." He whispered gently.

He slid off of me and I could only concentrate on the fact that it was so humid in here.

The next thing I knew, my trousers were being tugged completely off and my legs were being grasped in a hard grip as they were spread. I felt a heavy pressure between them and had just called out "Scar, wait!" when he thrust forward.

I collapsed back on the bed in pain. My legs were shaking and more sweat than I cared to admit was forming on my brow.

It took him several thrusts before our hips met each other and by then it felt like my whole abdomen was being torn apart.

He bent over me now and captured my lips again, though my energy already felt spent. A new surge of power seemed to hit Scar because he started moving back and forth.

I clung onto him for dear life, trying to just stay grounded.

He latched onto my neck with his teeth and as I felt a sort of pressure building in me, his teeth broke the skin. I opened my mouth in shock, but no sound came out. The pressure peaked and released and it seemed like a light exploded behind my eyes.

Candles all around the room erupted into flames and they just seemed to go down when Scar and I both settled down. Our breathing slowed and my eyelids became heavy.

I felt him wrap himself around before I nodded off.

Scar's POV

I woke up to a thrashing someone in my arms crying out softly, unintelligibly.

I knew this person, my mate. She was not really clothed. She was in my bed.

"Vas...calm down." I murmured, still trying to figure out why she was in my bed.

I just remember leaving Talon with Julie. I remember walking down the street, and then...nothing.

I stroked her short hair until her body stilled again in my arms. Damn, my back was sore.

Vas moved a bit, her leg bending a little in between mine, further intertwining us. I felt a something wet on my bare leg, and it had come from Vas's thigh. I reached down slowly and touched her inner thigh, beneath her lady parts and my fingers came up damp. I peered in the dim flickering light at my fingers and finally my nose caught the scent; blood...and semen.

I shot up.

Vas groaned, and as I turned I saw her face scrunch up in discomfort.

"Vas...wake up." I said softly, brushing her hair away from her face with my not-wet hand.

Her eyes opened slowly and then widened. She raised up her head and shoulders, propped up on her elbows and looked around.

I asked softly "Vas...what happened last night?"

She looked to me with a frown "You...don't remember?"

I held up my hand "I have an idea, but the details are a little blurry."

She turned and sat up slowly, wincing when her abdomen bent slightly. I jerked forward to help her, but she waved me off "You acted like you'd been drinking." She started, pushing her hair away from her face.

"I needed to talk about...about everything, I suppose. You came stumbling down the hall and I helped you to the room when you started kissing me." She rubbed her face with a groan...

"It just kind of escalated from there." She said in a whisper, rubbing her neck and gasping.

I moved her hair gently to the side and saw my mark. I swirled my fingertip over it lightly "I'm sorry, Vas. I wasn't drinking, I just don't remember. Was it...bad?" I held my breath.

She looked at me with wide eyes and then looked away and bit her lip "No. I mean...it was my first time, it was going to be painful to some extent. It was," She searched for a word and I supplied a few miserably "Rough. Feral. Savage. You can take your pick. I'm sure they're all true."

I swung my legs over the edge of the bed and stood, searching for my trousers. "I'm sorry, Vas. I don't know how it happened, but I shouldn't have taken you like that...I shouldn't have hurt you."

"Scar, don't." She started, but I kept talking "God, it seems like this relationship is bound to fail. First I nearly starve you to death, then I try to strangle you, and now I've gone and raped you..." I pulled on my shirt and barely heard her whisper "Please don't."

I couldn't not go. I didn't deserve to eat the dirt off her boot for how I've treated her. I opened the door and it was ripped from my hands by an unseen force, slamming "Damn you! Listen to me!" She shouted.

I turned around, shocked. Her eyes were watering as she said "It may not have been your original plan, but it's not like we can change what's happened now, Scar. I don't want to be sorry for it. I wasn't going to say rough, or any of those other words. I was going to say nice. For everything that's happened, it was okay." She made a sound of frustration through gritted teeth "Sure it could've been a bit more romantic, we could've gotten to know each other a little better before it happened, and you could've...you know...actually remembered it, but mates are supposed to be for life. Aren't they? We have plenty of time to fix it..." She trailed off, taking deep breaths. Her words moved me.

I strode forward before I knew what I was doing. I grasped hold of her body and pulled it to mine before kissing her like there was no tomorrow. "You're too kind to me." I cooed to her.

She snorted "Not really. When we went to the forest I enchanted a rock to hit you over the head when you had me pinned. When you woke up I told you it was berry juice."

I laughed "You're kidding me."

She shook her head and I got on the bed pulling her to me "You little imp."

She was curled in my lap, her light body warming me. She perked up and pointed to my bedside table "What is that?" She asked.

I glanced over and sighed "That's your potion that Madge asked me to give you..."

She groaned "Did you, perhaps, test it?" I stilled "Maybe."

She laid her head on my shoulder "What does wolfsbane do to a wolf like you?"

I made a sound that sounded a lot like choking "There's wolfsbane in that?"

She pulled away, nodding "Yeah. I asked her what was in it once and she mentioned that some of the ingredients she keeps away from the lot of you because it makes you act funny."

I pulled her back to me and she didn't fight it "I'm sorry I drank your potion and.." Her fist slammed down on my thigh "Shut up." She demanded sternly.

I gave a little laugh "Okay, I'll stop apologizing if you tell me why you need it."

She started "Ummm....ummmm....I have nightmares." She finally spit out in an embarrassed voice.

"About what?" I inquired softly, rubbing her arm.

She sighed, giving in and relaxing against me "My father's death. I was there."

I kept rubbing her arm and started swaying ever so gently "Keep going."

She did, cautiously "I had just turned thirteen and he'd made me a bow for my birthday. We'd gone hunting to break it in when we came upon a pack of wolves in the distance."

My stomach dropped. I think I knew where this was going and it sickened me "He told me to run home; to back away slowly and then start running. The minute my foot stepped on a branch, they knew we were there. They advanced on us and I knew running was futile. My father shot several arrows, killing one and wounding two. They over took him, and then they shifted. I was shocked, and frankly, so was he. He looked me right in the eye, and when one of them grabbed me, holding me back, he started pleading with them not to hurt me."

She stopped and took a deep breath, but her voice didn't crack. No signs of tears were there and though I was glad she wasn't getting so upset, I was also surprised. She continued "I saw what they were going to do and I implored them to let him go, but the man holding me only told me to be quiet. There were two people holding his arms, and the other, his head. My father shouted at me not to look just as they...they...tore him apart."

She was shaking slightly and I held her tighter "I'm so sorry, Vas. I know that can't fix anything, but I truly am." She curled her fingers in my shirt "Tonight's dream was different though."

I asked gently "How so?"

She was silent before replying "It wasn't him. This time, it was you."
