A formidable force has now exploded out of Bai Xiachenâs tiny little figure, causing even the air around himself to gush outwards like a hurricane.
Boom!
Under that torrent of wind, those who attempted to approach the boy were knocked away instantly, giving the little steambun the opening he needed to grab the leopard boyâs hand to make a mad dash for the other way.
âLittle Leopard, letâs go!â
â¦â¦
At the main gateway of the Sky Clan, Di Cangâs dark gaze continues to scan the area until his sight fell upon the torrent of wind blowing up from afar.
âXiachenâ¦.â
In a flash of purplish light, his body shot towards the epicenter of this event. When he arrived thereâs already nothing left, only rubbles and a bunch of maids constantly groaning from the pain and the occasional blood puking out of their lips.
âSpeak, where is my son?â Coming before one of the injured, Di Cang harshly glares down at the lady whoâs barely able to look up.
âHe⦠theyâve left.â The maid squirms once her sight clears up a bit and recognizes the frosty look coming down at herself.
âWhere did they go?â He asks again with a totally unreadable face.
âI⦠I didnât see clearly, there were too much sand and wind so by the time I came back to my senses they were already gone â¦.â The maid trembled as she answered, her heart filled with endless terror when she noticed what the man was doing.
Di Cang have already raised his hand by then, and from it was a purplish flame. When he released it, the fire instantly engulfs the injured here and slowly melted their flesh and body away like magma meeting rock.
âSire.â A group of demons also gathered due to the noise, their bodies kneeling to await their next order.
âI donât care if you turn this valley upside down, go find my son! He shouldnât have gone too far!â Cocking a cold smirk over what heâs going to say next, âAs for the Sky Clan and its members, leave none alive. They can pay with their blood for making a move against my son!â
Under normal circumstances, Di Cang wouldnât even need to make such a huge scene about finding the boy, he couldâve just used his nose to track the scent. Unfortunately, there are various obstacles here stopping him from doing so. The main one being the differing laws governing this pocket dimension, itâs effecting his ability to smell.
Of course, the demon king here was well aware of this fact and deliberately gave his own son a beaconing charm. Itâs so he could tell where the boy was at all times. Sadly, the little rascal actually lost the damn thing, forcing Di Cang to do all this for a simple rescue mission.
âYes, Sire.â Bowing their head, the demons promptly spread apart in every direction without looking back.
â¦â¦
At the higher parts of the valley, Bai Xiachen and Little Leopard had just ran out of breath from running so fast out of the settlement. Theyâre tired but relieved at the same time.
âItâs strange, the commotion I made shouldâve alerted those from the Sky Clan, why arenât they coming to catch us?â Wrinkling his lovely little brow, Bai Xiachen mutters this to himself in confusion.
But since he couldnât understand the reasoning then heâs not going to dwell on the matter. Instead, he makes a brilliant warm smile at their own fortune and rolled with it.
