“Oh?” She kept the smile on her face as she threw out questions. “How do you know for sure? You seem to be very concerned about her affairs and feelings. Do you perhaps like her?”

Feeling utterly speechless, he took several moments to recollect himself and then told her, “We’re not in that sort of relationship you imagine us to be! She’s my kin.”

“Kin?” She lifted a brow in amusement.

“She’s the most important person to me, so I won’t allow anyone to insult her!”

“Hah! That’s interesting.”
