Chapter 401 Menu February 14th is Valentine’s Day.

Marie was now single and preoccupied with her law firm, so she didn’t think about celebrating Valentine’s Day.

The space rented as the law firm was still being renovated, but Jaime had learned the address of Marie’s firm from somewhere and ordered sixty–six flower baskets to celebrate the opening of her new law firm.

When the decorator called Marie, she happened to be in a cafe with Bryce to talk about cooperation.

“Ms. Logan, someone delivered sixty–six flower baskets for you. There are too many flower baskets to put in the aisle, so the baskets are all inside. Come over and clean up the baskets. It’s making it impossible for us to proceed with the decoration.”

“Flower baskets? Do you know who these baskets are from?”

“Yes. His name is Jaime.”

Mariela got a headache as soon as she heard Jaime’s name.

Bryce stood up gently with Mariela and said, “Since it’s about the law firm, can I go with you to check it out?”

Mariela thought for a moment and replied, “Sure. You’ll be a partner in our law firm. Let me take “Okay.”

Mariela and Bryce then arrived at the law firm.

Mariela frowned in annoyance as she looked at the flower baskets that filled the room.

Mariela randomly picked a flower basket and looked at the ribbon hanging on it.

The ribbon said wishing Marie’s law firm a prosperous opening. Jaime’s name was on it.

Mariela looked unhappy.

Mariela didn’t like what Jaime left on the ribbon because she was not in business.

Bryce also saw the words on the ribbon.

“Jaime?”

Mariela rubbed her forehead in annoyance and said, “Well, I’m sorry for embarrassing you.”

Bryce said, “May I ask who Mr. Herman is?” Since Bryce lowered his eyes, it was unable to discern the emotions in his eyes.

Bryce was Marie’s partner after all, so Marie felt it was still necessary to explain clearly. If Bryce was troubled by this matter, he might cancel his cooperation with Marie.

“He was my ex–boyfriend. I’ve been broken up with him for more than half a year.”

“Ex–boyfriend?” Bryce murmured.

“Well, I’m sorry you had to see that.”
