Chapter 392 When the vacation ended, Mariela returned to the law firm and started working.

On the first day of work, the firm was greeted by an unexpected visitor.

Lauryn walked into Vanguard Law Associates in a designer suit, carrying a limited edition Hermes bag and attracting much attention. She walked in high heels and went straight to Mariela’s office.

The office door was unlocked, and Lauryn walked in without knocking.

Mariela was making a phone call when she looked up and saw Lauryn, who had come uninvited. Mariela frowned slightly.

“I have something to attend to, talk to you later.”

Lauryn sat on the sofa, casually setting her bag aside, and looked around Mariela’s office. “This place is really small. Can you even call it an office?”

Mariela looked up at her, expressionless, and asked, “What are you doing here?”

Lauryn smirked and said, “I forgot to tell you I’m now an investor in your law firm. Now I am one of the silent partners and your boss.”
