Chapter 968
Cornelia said, âIâll fill you in later. For now, go park the car. Once youâve done that, come back to the supermarket and help us with the groceries.â
Zack, in a rush, asked, âCanât you just tell me now, Cornelia?*
Cornelia replied, âYouâre blocking the entrance to the parking lot. No one else can get past. Park your car first, then come back to the supermarket and Iâll explain
Zack reluctantly agreed, âAlright, just be sure to tell me later.â
As Zack drove into the underground parking lot, Tahlia said, âZackâs really good to you, Cornelia. Do you think Mr. Hartley will be jealous?â
Cornelia replied, âHe is an old friend of mine. My husband wonât be jealous.â In reality, not only would her husband be jealous, heâd be insanely jealous. And he wouldnât be subtle about it either; heâd let her know loud and clear.
The supermarket at the entrance of their residential area was a chain store. It had a reputation for stocking fresh, highâquality fruits and vegetables. Thanks to the supermarketâs good procurement management, customers could shop with peace of mind, not having to worry about buying spoiled products.
While Cornelia and Tahlia were still shopping, Zack arrived. He glanced at Tahlia a few times before asking Cornelia, âShe looks familiar. Have I met her somewhere?â
Cornelia replied, âIâm not sure if youâve met her, but you might have heard about her family or seen her in the news
Zack asked, âIs she Marcusâ sister?â
Cornelia explained, âShe used to be part of the Reese family, the famous family in Riverton that owns the Reese Group.â
Confused, Zack asked, âSo how did she become your sister? This all seems a bit fishy. Be careful youâre not being conned, Cornelia.â
Cornelia explained to Zack how she and Tahlia came to be sisters.
After hearing Corneliaâs explanation, Zack pondered for a while and then asked, âSo the DNA test results were legitimate?â
Cornelia replied, âThe test was conducted by people Marcus arranged, under constant supervision, so thereâs absolutely no chance of foul play. Tahlia is my biological sister. Havenât you noticed that Tahlia and I really do look alike?â
Zack glanced at Tahlia again and said, âCornelia, I donât mean to upset you, but this just seems odd to me. Your father was a very responsible man. If he knew your mother was pregnant, he wouldnât have let her leave Rosenberg. He wouldâve taken care of her.â
Cornelia said, âI was only a few months old at that time. I guess that woman didnât realize she was pregnant until after she left Rosenberg.â
