Chapter 963
Leonardo said, âSo let me get this straight, not only did I work my butt off today, but I also have to bring you guys gifts?â
Cornelia replied, âIâm cool with that.â
Leonardo said, âYall are ruthless.â
Cornelia said, âLeonardo, youâre giving us gifts now. But when you get married, Iâll give you an even pricier gift. You wonât be at a lossâ
Leonardo said, âI have no intention of getting married, how am I supposed to accept your gift?â
Cornelia gave him a disgruntled look, âYou have a bunch of girlfriends but no plans to settle down? Youâre treating these girls like a total jerk!â
Leonardo fired back, âA jerk is a guy who says he loves you but chases after other women. I lay everything out before I start dating. If my girlfriend can bring me happiness, I can give her the money she wants. We both get what we want and if we get sick of each other, we can split anytime. How am I a jerk?â
Cornelia said, âThatâs complete nonsense!â
Leonardo said, âHow is that nonsense? Iâm a good guy! Do you think every man should be like your husband, not touching women for decades to be considered a good man?â
Leonardo continued, âA man like Marcus could have issues! Certain functions need to be used frequently to know if theyâre working properly. If theyâre not used, people might start to wonderâ¦â
Leonardo started to crack jokes. No one knew Marcusâ situation better than Cornelia. She glared at him, âLeonardo, shut up!â
Leonardo said, âDid I mention any of Marcusâ flaws? Are you trying to shut me up because you canât argue back? Well, I wonât shut up.â
Cornelia said, âThen you keep talking. Weâre leaving.â
Leonardo blocked Corneliaâs way, âCornelia, do you know how well other women treat me? Do you know how much they want to be with me? Opportunities that others canât get are right in front of you, but youâre not cherishing it.â
Cornelia gave a faint smile, âMy husband is Marcus!â
That answer was more hurtful than any other words. Leonardo said, âSigh!â
This round, Cornelia totally won. She smiled smugly. âAre you staying for dinner?â
Leonardo said, âYes!â
Even if he didnât stay, he still had to give them gifts. Might as well stay. Tonight, he was going to eat like a king and get his money back.
Cornelia said, âGood. Weâll need about an hour to walk home. When we get there, we plan to pick up a few things from the supermarket at the entrance of our community. We might not be able to carry everything, could you give us a hand?â
Leonardo said, âAre you treating me like your servant?â
Cornelia said, âNot at all, itâs just that youâre the only man here, so weâre troubling you.â
Leonardo drove off angrily.
Cornelia took Tahliaâs hand, âTahlia, letâs go.â
Tahlia said, âI never knew that Leonardo had such a sense of humor.â
Cornelia asked, âWhat was he like in your eyes before?â
