Chapter 780
Granny Luisa nodded, âYup!â
Comelia didnât respond
She had a hearty meal under the watchful eyes of the three elders, she was so stuffed that she was even struggling to walk
After the meal, Granny felt fine and wanted to go home to rest. Cornelia consulted with the doctor, who told her that Marcus had previously informed him to abide by Granny Rebeccaâs wishes. If Granny Rebecca wanted to rest at home, then they would go home and the doctor would accompany them.
Despite feeling a tad embarrassed about inconveniencing others, Cornelia prioritized her grandmotherâs comfort. Nothing was more important than Granny Rebeccaâs wellâbeing
Once they arrived back at the Hartleyâs old mansion, Granny Rebecca felt a bit tired and dozed off shortly after lying down on her bed.
With nothing else to do after her granny fell asleep, Cornelia took out her phone and messaged Marcus: [What are you up to?]
Quite a while passed without a reply from Marcus.
After giving it some thought, Cornelia sent another message: [Granny and I are back at the Hartley Mansion. When are you coming home?]
A few seconds after she sent the message, Marcus finally replied: [Meet me outside]
Cornelia asked: [Are you back?]
Marcus replied. [Yep.]
Cornelia quickly got up and dashed outside, phone in hand.
Patricia was in the process of handing her some fruit and nearly got knocked over, âNelly, where are you rushing off to? I just cut some fruit, have some.â
âPatricia, Iâm good. You and granny have it. Cornelia replied without turning back and ran off.
Patricia watched her disappear, âWhatâs the hurry?â
âSheâs obviously off to see Marc Granny Luisa said, sunning herself by the French windows and noticing Marcusâs car parked outside, âMarc must be taking Nelly out on a date.â
Patricia added, âLooking at the way Nelly bolted, sheâs like a gust of wind. Definitely off to see her beauâ
Granny Luisa chuckled, âTrue that. Back in my day, I used to run out to greet my husband when he returned from a business trip.â
Patricia mused, âSo, Nelly must have feelings for Marc.â
Granny Luisa replied, âOf course, who wouldnât? Marc is such a catch, not many girls could resist him.â
Patricia moved closer to Granny Luisa and handed her a fork, âGranny Luisa, have some fruit first.
Granny Luisa sighed, âNellyâs in the car and Marcâs driving off. I wonder where they are heading to. Do you think we might hear some good news soon?â
Patricia pondered, âMaybe they are heading to the Celestial Chateau? If so, should I go there to take care of them?â
Granny Luisa dismissed the idea, âMarc promised me heâll stay with Nelly at the mansion for at least half a month, he wouldnât dare take her away now.â Patricia agreed. âSo, they must be going on a date somewhere else. After all, itâs not convenient to do anything at home with so many people around.â
Granny Luisa accepted this explanation.
Meanwhile, Cornelia was sprinting out of the house towards the yard. Even from a distance, she could already see Marcus.
