Cornelia’s words were like a warm current, soothing Hannah’s heart. Meeting Cornelia in the crowd, Hannah felt it was the luckiest thing that happened to her in her life.

She smiled and asked, “Nelly, do you know how much I like you?”

Cornelia raised an eyebrow, “How much?”

“Very, very much” Hannah said

“I like you too” Cornelia said.

“How about we live together?” Hannah suddenly proposed.

Comelia replied with a smile, “Sure. Reserve a room for me in your mansion, so I can come and stay anytime.”

Hannah said, “I live alone in a flat. All other rooms are emply, so pick whichever you want.”

“That one will do.” Cornelia pointed out casually.

Hannah generously said, “Okay, I’ll leave the biggest secondary bedroom for you.”

Just then, Hannah’s phone rang. “Nelly, I need to take this call.”

Cornelia nodded.

Hannah answered the call and heard the security guard’s voice, “Miss Hannah, there’s a woman and a kid carrying two big bags claiming to be your mother, Pandora and your brother, Farley. I didn’t quite believe them, but they gave your number.”

Hannah said, “They are indeed my mother and brother, let them come up.”

After hanging up, Hannah turned to Cornelia and said, “My family is here.” It was a family gathering moment, Cornelia didn’t want to intrude, “Then I should leave. You guys have a good time.”

Hannah looked rather upset, “Have a good time? Not everyone wants to be with their family, and not every family is full of love.”

Cornelia didn’t know much about Hannah’s family situation. But judging by Hannah’s tone, it seemed like she didn’t have a good relationship with her family.

Now Cornelia couldn’t just leave, “Then I’ll go to your study. If you need me, just call.”

“Okay Thank you for staying with me.” Hannah smiled, “Pandora has always been dominant. She’s definitely going to question me about my divorce. She probably thinks I’m a loser who can’t even keep a man.”

Cornelia advised, “Don’t jump to conclusions.”

In the midst of their conversation, Hannah’s family had arrived. She waited for Cornelia to go to the study before she went to open the door. When the door opened, a woman and a boy were standing there.

Pandora looked about fifty, dressed in a plain blue t–shirt and black trousers, carrying a big bag on her back. The bag seemed so heavy that she couldn’t stand straight.

Farley looked around fourteen or fifteen, still very young. But he was much taller than Hannah. He too was carrying a big bag on his back.

Whether his bag was lighter or he was just stronger, he stood quite straight.

“Mom” Hannah called out and quickly stepped back to let them in.

Pandora brought the bag into the room, put it down in an open space, and looked around, “This is the house you just spent a fortune on?”

Hannah nodded obediently like a child who had done something wrong. “Yes.” She was afraid that Pandora would scold her for spending money recklessly.

Pandora said, “This place doesn’t look too bad

“Really?” Hannah’s eyes lit up, “Really?”

Pandora said, “Your place is pretty decent.”
