Chapter 9: Death Tree

Darkness (A book full of poems)Words: 636

I sit here shaking

I feel myself breaking

As I close my eyes

I put the rope around my neck.

Flashbacks come

All at once I see visions of

Way back when it was just you.

As I pull the rope tighter the  demons dance around as

They rule my mind.

I scream for you, but you’re gone,

And when they say you not coming back

I sit here as my eyes grow darker

Under the glow of the moon

I  begin to meet my doom.

As I go to jump down to hang

I say they shall forever remember this as our

Death tree. Where we died, where hearts got

Broken and buried.

I loved you then, not and forever, as I hung on the death tree where we died and grew apart.
